• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

If there are GBA games coming to the Switch, the ones I’d like to see are the Super Mario Advanced series with the fourth one getting the Wii U treatment, Minish Cap, Link to the Past/Four Sword, Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero Mission, Drill Dozer, Pokémon Pinball Ruby and Sapphire, the Golden Sun games, Mother 3 (please just give it to us here in the west!), Wario Land 4, the Warioware games, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby and the Magic Mirror, Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga, the DK Country GBA remakes, and the Boktai series.

If they do this, I'd hope that they'd add the games to the eshop as well, for anyone who decides to not upgrade their NSO account, so they can have a chance to buy them.

Eh, ragazzo!
If the GBA games actually land on expansion pass, I might even try to get it.

How would the Boktai series even work?

Apparently, someone found that the bonus character slots for Transfer Pack characters in Mario Golf, which were removed in the Wii and Wii U VC versions, have been reimplemented in the Switch Online version. And rumor has it that a GBA emulator for Switch has leaked.
Um, you mean GBC. The Mario Golf game that can connect to the first Mario Golf is from the GBC, not GBA.

GBA games might convince me to upgrade to the Expansion Pass. It’s a steep upgrade for a family plan, but it might be worth it since my family recently became obsessed with Animal Crossing.

The games better be purchasable outright, my Emerald was stolen over a decade ago and it's impossible to get another(Well one that isn't a blatant fake. Got money back both times and just gave up)

I don't care about Online Expansion, it's stupid! They'd make SO much money if they just let people buy these games outright and just used 'Expansion' as their equivalent to Gamepass. Play a game you like and wanna keep it? Buy it!
Let's also not forget that Nintendo's online ain't forever like Microsoft and Sony's, it WILL go one day. Purchasing it makes it yours no matter what but if it's tied to Online Expansion? It's gonna be gone in a few years and inaccessible

I'd gladly pay $40-50 to have Emerald forever

Well, someone is very angry. My guess is that since the mainline Pokemon games are different from the other games, Nintendo probably doesn't want anyone to use Restore Points on them, that they will be released in a compilation, separate from Switch Online.

I was thinking the same thing which is why I didn’t include the main series games in my wishlist. Restore points sort of ruin the experience and fun of battling and there needs to be a way to get all of the Pokémon in the games easily and trading accessible. Gen 3 is when trading Pokémon suffered the most as RS only used the GBA Link Cable which wasn’t very popular to begin with and the Wireless Adapter from what I’ve read had problems if players weren’t at the right distance.

XC3 release date announced:

Comes out July 29th, 2022.

Notably, the battle system features seven characters in battle fighting at once instead of just three (not that demanding, since XC2 technically had up to 6). Two party members can merge to become an Ouroboros form. Funnily enough, the last party member is two Nopons as a tag-team, though it seems guest party members can be part of the 7-man team.

Bit late to reply but I wonder if we're getting a Nintendo Direct soon if GBA and GB/GBC emulation coming soon to NSO is for real, just for that to get announced legitmately.

Doing Their Best
Seemingly development for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was almost done and the delay for Breath of the Wild 2 may have allowed for more time to polish up the game. Splatoon 3 could have needed a bit more time given it is primarily an online multiplayer game though early September could still technically be mid 2022.

You know, the one peeve I have with Nintendo Switch Sports' online mode is that when you do Bowling, the game doesn't let you choose whether you want to do the regular lanes or the special lanes. For the last few days, I've been forced to do the special lanes each time I chose Bowling, even though I wanted to do the regular lanes. I can't be the only one feeling this way, right?

Hope I don't get in trouble for double posting.
Pinball at last. Still have my hopes up for Urban Champion, Donkey Kong Jr. Math and even Super Mario RPG.
