I mean, don't get me wrong, DK Bananza looks so cool, but having a new 3D Donkey Kong AND a new 3D Mario would be even better...

We've already got a massive new Mario Kart game this year. I think we'll get the next 3D Mario game later on in the Switch 2's lifespan.

That’s the main reason why I bought mine, plus I’ve been saving a nest for the last few years specifically for the Switch 2, though I haven’t really talked about it aside from close friends so I don’t have to get worried about being shamed or harrassed
I was already hyped for this game but now I’m especially excited. The story looks interesting and the trailer made it seemed they crammed so much detail & content into itAlso...

This was leaked before, but it's still nice to see Nicktoons crossover with Sonic.
During the Switch 1 era, we had Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Team Sonic Racing and Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled leading the pack in racing games. Now Mario Kart World has been released, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is on its way, and rumors are buzzing of CTRNF getting an upgrade. Racing game fans are really getting a lot.

Why Nintendo is being so silent on everything that isn't Donkey Kong Bananza? Metroid Prime 4 and Kirby Air Riders are supposed to release this year, and yet Nintendo hasn't provided any release dates for both of them, let alone a gameplay video for Kirby. What the heck is going on?

It could be the fact that the Switch 2 released this month. That probably forced them to delay their usual June Direct to July.

I figured that Nintendo would be showing more footage in their next Direct and didn’t want to show anything too close to the Switch 2’s release.

Well, I do remember that the first post release Switch 1 Direct happened one month and half after the launch of the console back then, but I don't know if it's gonna be the case for this one as well...

By the way, I changed my mind on Kirby Air Riders: when it was first revealed I was extremely skeptical, because despite Sakurai is pretty much my number one game designer, the original Kirby Air Ride was his worst game yet. Excluding the City Trial Mode, which was incredibly fun, the rest of that game was really forgettable and not fun. And it also lacked in contents overall. Then I found out a truth behind the development of that game: it was redone from scratch in 3. Measy. Months. So that explains perfectly why the game ended up being like it was. For the sequel, Sakurai had almost 4 full years instead, so this time he had all the time in the world to do it right. It can't mess it up. I'm looking forward to it.

If a Direct doesn't happen next week, we won't have one until either the last days of July, or the first of August. Because the middle weeks have a lot of things that prevent a Direct from happening (DK Bananza on 17th, the Pokemon Presents on July 22nd, and Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition on 24th). In three months Nintendo has developed an even worse communication than Sony did ever since the PS5 era started, and that takes A LOT to surpass...
