(You just said something so weird.)
This guy sure likes to mess around with his games, and people.

How is this console compared to the original?
It's stronger and allows Nintendo to tap into the 60fps realm easier, alongside other third-party games (though, not much of that, because apparently Nintendo doesn't want to release a whole bunch of updated ports to distract people from their own games...or so people say).

It's definitely pretty good, though.

I'll look into it then, hope they listen to port feedback though.

Here's what I think we're getting:
*Super Mario Bros 40th anniversary: What I'm hoping for specifically are a new 3D Mario announcement, new DLC for Mario Kart World, and a Switch 2 Edition of Super Mario 3D All-Stars with at least one bonus game, Galaxy 2 being the most likely.
*New info on Metroid Prime 4 with a December release date.
*New info on Kirby Air Riders, probably a new character or two and some new rides.
*New info on Pokemon Legends Z-A, I'm leaning towards new Mega Evolutions and a new feature.
*New info on Rhythm Heaven Groove including a release date.
*More games for Nintendo Classics.
*Wild card #1: Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee: Nintendo Switch 2 Editions, featuring the Sevii Islands.
*Wild card #2: Either Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition or a brand-new title.

My hopes for the next Direct:

- Super Smash Bros Ultimate: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. 4K resolution. 120 fps. Includes all DLC fighters from Piranha Plant to Sora and makes them unlockable in World of Light. Adds new costumes for certain existing fighters, including a new costume for Link based on his appearance in Tears of the Kingdom and new costume for Donkey Kong based on his appearance in Donkey Kong Bananza. As a purely cosmetic change, Donkey Kong with this costume transforms into Kong Bananza as he performs his Final Smash. Adds new echo fighters for certain existing ones: Octoling (echo of Inkling), Shadow (echo of Sonic), Ms. Pac-Man (echo of Pac-Man), Proto Man (echo of Mega Man), Scream Tail (echo of Jigglypuff), and Ninten (echo of Ness). All new echo fighters are unlockable in World of Light.
- Super Mario Maker 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Compatible with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
- Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Adds the Sevii Islands.
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Adds a new game mode starring Luigi in his quest to find the pieces of the Marvelous Compass.
- Mario & Luigi: Brothership: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Adds a new game mode starring Wario & Waluigi.
- A release date for Metroid Prime 4
- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Remastered
-
A remaster of Super Paper Mario
- A paid DLC expansion for Donkey Kong Bananza that gives DK the ability to swim underwater and introduces a new Bananza transformation: Swordfish.

I withdraw reluctantly.
Ms. Pac-Man is in a weird legal limbo. Basically, the character switched from it's original creators to AtGames, and Bandai-Namco doesn't want to deal with the headache anymore. It's why the World Re-Pac games have Pac-Mom instead.

NateTheHate mentions that Three Houses will get a Deluxe Edition for Switch 2 (but not an "enhanced" version).

Note: Three Houses sold better than Engage, so this may be the reason why Engage is getting "skipped" on this treatment.

By the way, it wasn't shown in the Direct, but:

All right, they really threw a curveball with revealing the Mario movie sequel to primarily be based on the Super Mario Galaxy games, but I'm guessing that means Rosalina will appear, and Galaxy 2 is finally coming alongside a standalone release of Galaxy 1 for Switch, amazing! The new Mario Tennis looks awesome, and is that Baby Waluigi?! They're adding new multiplayer content in the Switch 2 Edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and it looks like the Koopalings will be causing trouble. That new Yoshi game looks nice, seems like we'll be befriending enemies this time. The new Kirby Air Riders Amiibo look interesting, they're practically going Skylanders Swap Force with them, and I'm psyched for the second Air Riders Direct. Virtual Boy on Nintendo Classic was a nice surprise, though it does suck that I need an accessory for it. Had a feeling Metroid Prime 4 would be the holiday title this year, since they kept insisting it would come out before New Years. Surprised to hear that Donkey Kong Bananza is getting some new paid DLC, and being able to go to DK Island sounds exciting. Pokemon meets world-building, and the fact that the player character's a human-shaped Ditto outta make for an interesting experience. Mega Evolved Kalos starters in Z-A look cool, and DLC is coming with Raichu as the third Pokemon with two different Mega Evolved forms! And it looks like the next Fire Emblem will be a follow-up to Three Houses, judging from Sothis appearing.

Also, it looks like the same crests from Three Houses return as well.

Pretty sure this is meant to be the "next Three Houses", in a way that the campier Engage didn't really do.

Quick eShop/Software Question: I preordered Legends ZA on my Switch 2 but I also want to have it on my Switch Lite. If I tried to downloading it on my Switch Lite, but the eShop has the price tag on it and it reads “proceed to preorder.”

Does this mean I have to buy the game again if I want a Switch 1 version?

Hopefully Marianne will have Uno in this one lol
