Nintendo Switch: Nintendo's Next Hardware - SOURCE ALL NEWS/RUMORS

Auraninja

I withdraw reluctantly.
EDIT: And there's a rumor going around that the entire KH collection will finally release in one cart on Switch 2.

Finally, Kingdom Hearts Sephiroth Edition (was tired of Cloud Edition).

This is wonderful news if true.

At last, the Switch 1 has outsold the DS family, and become the best-selling Nintendo console of all time! On a related note, the Switch 2 is off to a good start, having outsold the Wii U. Do you guys have any thoughts on this?

Well it really isn’t that hard to outsell the Wii U. That thing took three years before getting a breakout game that made people go out and buy the console just to play the game. Until Smash Bros Wii U, the only game worth getting was Wind Waker HD and even then it wasn’t worth the $300 price point just for one game. The Switch 2 was a huge success mainly because it was marketed as the successor to the original Switch that could still play game cards from the Switch and offered updates to said games for new visuals and features. The initial marketing for the Wii U was a complete mess as the name Wii U sounded like another accessory for the Wii and you can’t blame anyone for thinking that considering there was the Wii Zapper, Wii Nunchuck, Wii Fit Board, and Wii Pro Controller. And even the reveal trailer was confusing as you literally saw someone using the Wii Fit Board.

I was kinda expecting that myself. Though I wanna know your opinion on the Switch 1 becoming the best selling Nintendo console too.

On another note, the next batch of Game Boy games for Nintendo Classics have arrived, both obscure gems.

I'll take it. Here's what I predict.
*From SEGA, a new Sonic game to celebrate the 35th anniversary.
*From Bandai Namco, either a Switch 2 installment of Namco Museum or another classic game making its debut on a Nintendo console. I'm betting the original Tekken.
*From Capcom, a new compilation of older games.
*From Square-Enix, either a new Final Fantasy or a new Dragon Quest.
*From SNK, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on Switch 2.
*From Microsoft, another XBOX game coming to Switch 2.

A new version of Dragon Quest VIII?

An announcement of Fable coming to the Switch 2?

I’d like to see the Fable series come to the Switch 2. I’ve only played a bit of the first game but I did enjoy causing chaos and making the morality meter have difficulty figuring out if I was good or evil.

There were two announcements that caught my eye. That Bomberman collection looks nice. I think I’ll add it to my wishlist. And the Console Archives, am I the only one who sees the potential for this? This could be how we can purchase classic home console games, without having to subscribe to Switch Online and rent them on Nintendo Classics. Hoping Nintendo will make games like Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario World purchasable through this.

Imagine you make a somewhat big announcement for last...and then coyly reveal in the press info 3 out of the 4 games are codes in a box:

Indiana Jones is on a physical cart, with just 0.3GB shy from hitting the limit.

Also, Digimon Story forces a GKC on Switch 2...but the Switch 1 version can circumvent that and just give you the update when using the Switch 2:

Let me reiterate, I think the new Console Archives series from Hamster has potential. It could be the spiritual successor to the Virtual Console that we have been waiting for. Does anyone have any games that they wanna see as part of it? Me, I'm hoping for the PS1 versions of the first three Tekken games.

Everything I'm interested in I already own on PS5 (Time Stranger, Oblivion Remastered, Tales of Arise) or plan on getting on it (Rebirth). Pragmata might be interesting? Might pick up the Switch 2 version for the Bioshock vibes (small girl, armoured father figure).
