no doubt i've done something stupid, but here goes

falco_lombardi_the_watche

Beginning Trainer
right, i'm trying to build a team to beat my m8's who don't EV (neither do i) don't use natures (neither do i). this is a double battle compo between us. the difference between our teams, is that they've got their teams ready. they use alot of legendaries and ubers (everyone has either moltres or entei, hence the extra large water selection)

i don't mind criticism (constructive or just random insults) and suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated (as i suck at pokeomon)

i've got:

mantine swift swim mild
wing attack
supersonic
water pulse
take down

seadra(can't get kingdra, don't know how, help would b greatly appreciated) sassy poison point
smokescreen
leer
water gun
twister

if i'm gonna use it, i know that something will have to be changed there

golduck lonely damp
disable
confusion
screech
psych up

starmie naughty illuminate
waterfall
ice beam
refresh
recover

cloyster shell armor docile
protect
surf
spikes
attract

in case you haven't noticed, i've used this one before. turned out ok, not completely satisfied with it though.

walrein careful thick fat
aurora beam
rest
surf
earthquake

love something that can last i do. yeah, i used this for xd. good defense or good hp, i don't care. as long as it can last, i love it.

vapoureon calm water absorb
surf
bite
ice beam
shadow ball

not the eevee evo i picked for xd. i used vapoureon for fire red.

dewgong relaxed thick fat
aurora beam
rest
surf
take down

snorlax modest thick fat
solarbeam
snore
rest
block

gengar bashful levitate
curse
dream eater
hynosis
shadow ball

if i am going to have this one, the only move i might change is curse. i was wondering about having giga drain/nightmare instead

dusclops hasty pressure
shadow ball
curse
will-o-wisp
psychic

altaria modest natural cure
dragonbreath
heal bell
solarbeam
aerial ace

dragonite sassy shed skin?(can't remember)
surf
dragon claw
aerial ace
slam

jolteon naughty volt absorb
double kick
thunderbolt
pin missile
hidden power (psychic)

i like this one. this was my xd eevee evo and has served me well.

flygon relaxed levitate
giga drain
steel wing
earthquake
dragon claw

umbreon naughty sychronize
bite
iron tail
return
moonlight

as i said before, i love something that can last

steelix rash rock head
rock tomb
hyper beam
iron tail
earthquake

espeon careful sychronize
psychic
return
morning sun
attract

houndoom impish early bird
crunch
shadow ball
flamethrower
hyper beam (don't kill me)

alakazam lonely inner focus
psychic
role play
recover
calm mind

venasaur quirky overgrow
synthesis
leech seed
sludge bomb
roar

pidgeot lax keen eye
rest
whirlwind
fly
toxic

metagross quirky clear body
shadow ball
aerial ace
meteor mash
psychic

yes, that is finally it. whaddaya think?

Whoa. Lots here.

First of all:

Kill Water Gun. Insert Surf/Hydro Pump. Water Gun's low power isn't worth it.

Venasaur might want Sunny Day instead of Roar.

Houndoom's attack isn't high enough to sjustifyuper HBeam.

Umbreon's Att (and Sp. Att for that matter) are too low for Iron Tail and possibly BIte. Use Crunch if possible. Umbreon is typically an annoyer.

Jolteon's Pin MIssle and Double Kick are weak.

Hypnosis misses too often.

Don't let your Starmie have Illuminate. It is useless in battle.

If you want to use Psych Up, let your pokemon know something like Swagger first. (I wouldn't pick Golduck anyway.)

Kingdra: Trade with Dragon Scale. Leer is useless unless it knows a physical move.

Water Pulse isn't necessary. Surf or Hydro Pump. You already have SSonic.

Most of your problems stem from Too Many Attack Attacks. (Not enough defensive.) Also, too many of your Pokémon have conflicting movesets. You don't need two physical and two special attacks (like on your Dragonite.) Stick to either Sp Att or Att, and give it more defensive/stat-or-status changers.

Asking for too many pokemon rates (in your case, 23) kinda deters raters IMO.

Wow. Lotsa pokes.

If you're trying to beat ledgendaries who don't use natures or EVs, the odvious stratagy it to use natures and EVs.

The major flaw of your team is that the Jolteon is the only things that could possibly survive even a sub-par Kyogre.

The best Poke there seems to be Metagross. Metagross could be better with Sluge bomb, Earthquake, Meteor mash, Agility. (You may also want to put Explosion here).

Ok...wow this is TOO much pokemon.
1.Lose all water attacks and replace them with Surf.
2. Naughty Starmie? You might not do natures but thats just plain stupid..lower defence for attack? On Starmie= USELESS
3. No special attack on physical sweepers and no physical attacks on special sweepers. Simple?
4. Lose all the attacks with power lower than 60

thats all I have to say.. and

pidgeot lax keen eye
rest
whirlwind
fly
toxic

this works better with noctowl....
which woul dbe

Toxic
Fly
Reflect
Psychic

The 'best pokemon' is hard to define...

But I'd say the most overused is Snorlax. It seems like every serious team has one.

He is the most useful imo. It is opinion anyways.

I use the Houndoom moveset on smogon but since this does not seen like a Netbattle team, I think that a sunnybeaming Houndoom may actually work for once (and it will be better than some of the other pokes he is using)
