No, it was 4kids who didn't allow the old voice actors to continue. Plus, there was also some "loyalty" involved between the old voices and 4kids.

I knew this for ages...it's still depressing. It's sorta symbolistic. Pokemon USA realised too late that this wasn't going to work for them...Good on the old voice actors - they gave them the boot, and now they want them back ages after. I sortof think that it's good for them to say no...But we all will miss them.

And the little rallying of the fundies against PUSa and Cartoon Network that hammered the final nail in the coffin.

But yes, it's over except for some standouts at SOVA.

Wow, talk about old. 'Really' the only people who shouldn't know about this are people who aren't Pokemon fans. This was known before they announced The special "Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon". And there are so many rumors as to why we won't be getting the original Vas, there's money/contract/new company/4Kids won't let them/they refused. We'll never know the whole truth just different stories. Granted the voices were bad but they will
get better. We already heared they found a better Ash that sounds 'like' Veronica Taylor and that NewBrock has improved so we have to trust Pokemon USA. So far IMO they are showing more love for Pokemon then that of 4Kids 8 year long devotion. Think about it requesting a 10th anniversary special, finding a new home (2 counting Boomerang) signing 2 new toy companies (Mattel, Jakks) releasing the first season on Dvd, bringing Chronicles to the US, and last hearing fan input and trying to find better sound alikes. I once was a very strong part of SOVA but I gave up because its comman sence, ill move on and so should you. Its voices! Ill miss the originals but nothing can be done. So I say Pokemon USA please make us fans happy and continue to improve the Pokemon name. Regards a pleased Pokemon fan 4-ever

This thread is only going to make me either really confused or depressed, like reading that one thread did ("New Dub Voices Discussion")......

Anyway, I don't need to say anything about the VA situation since everyone already knows my opinion on that.

*points to her sig banner on the right*


And by the way, I for one feel sad about the fact that this is not only 4Kids' last Pokemon episode, but also KidsWB's last episode as well. I've watched Pokemon ever since it first started airing, and I just think it's kind of a shame to see them stop airing Pokemon now, after all those years.

Also, I really do hope Cartoon Network only shows Pokemon on Saturday's (on Toonami), and that they only have one or two episodes a week. If they don't do it that way, then they're sure to go through the 9th season really fast.
