Normal Pokemon-Legendaries = Real Life Animals -Cryptids

I have seen a thread saying that there are too many legendaries. But my reasoning they are at a perfect ration to the other Pokemon that are not classified at Legendary.

Here is my reasoning.

So most Pokemon (except the legendaries) are based off of animals in the real world. So.

Legendaries are the odd ones out, like cryptids in the real world. Every continent has their own "monster" that haunts people in there sleep. "Legends" if you will. People come and try and catch a glimpse of them etc.. But there are so many regular animals that they outnumber the cryptids. The same thing in the anime and games where there are statues, legends and paintings depicting mysterious "legendaries"

So every continent has a small number of legendaries, while every region in Pokemon has a number of legendaries:) I'll add more later! Agree or not?

Huh, Cryptids.

I do not know much about them, but I can definitely see some of these rumored creatures being used as a basis for new Pokemon.

Except Bigfoot, Nessie and the chupacabra supposedly aren't gods.

Neither are Articuno, Zapos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Celebi, Latias, Latios, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Jirachi, Deoxys, Cresselia, Heatran, Darkrai, Shaymin, Manaphy, or Phione, your point?

they have too many dragons a water dragon, chinese dragon, and wyvern.

So? They're just more common there. Have you yet to see a Komodo Dragon in the games? =/

A very interesting idea.

Isn't Lapras based off of Nessie though?

Yes, but ingame wise, it's incredibly rare.

When they make a Pokemon based off of the chupacabra, a goat blood sucker, maybe we can talk.

No. The abominable snowman lives in the Himalayas, Bigfoot lives in the Pacific northwest area of the US.

and one has controll over the ice and the other relies over brute strength.

Freaks! Yes good word ok. Lemme put it this way. Cryptids are the freaks of our world, where as legendaries are the freaks of the pokemon worlds. In a non offensive way. The odd one out:D
