Not gonna be used?

Why hasn't Ash used his Fast Ball yet, and why hasn't Brock used his Heavy Ball yet? And for those of you who think the reason is because they are old Pokeballs, a Heavy Ball is used in the episode "Gulpin it Down."

Because the creators forgot about it? There are a lot of things that got wasted and never got resolved ie. GS ball.

We'll probably never know, but its no big deal.

i thought that Brock used his Heavy Ball on that Pineco.....

i didn't know that Ash had a Fast Ball, I thought he had that Lure Ball that he used to capture Totodile....

Thank you, SPPf! :)
I think Brock used a Fast ball on Pineco. The Heavy Ball he was given a few episodes later was never used, I believe, and probably won't ever be used.

Actually I found it to be a huge deal... another concept the creators have completely ignored is James crossdressing and the fact that Brock had originally was a Pokemon breeder and how Ash wanted to be a Pokemon master. Though they were some of the very most vital points in the show, they just threw them away...

Well, Ash still wants to be a master, but that term is ambiguousin definittion in the anime. Brock still wants to be a breeder, they just don't focus on it as much.

Ah, that GS ball, basis of 1 and a half seasons, last seen in transitions in Johto Champions....what the heck was in that dang ball!

Forgot about Brock's heavy ball, they used all the others.....
maybe they should go to Johto at least one more season, maybe get some closure......unless it pulls a Battel Frontier.Heck they completely forgot about all the gym leaders, Haunter, Pidgeot is going on its 8th season out of action, all the other pokemon. Haunter has faded into oblivion, I mean at least all the other pokemon Ash had turned up in SPURT! and Glory Day, but Haunter didn't(Butterfree, its mate, Primape[with Ash's origianl hat], larvitar, larvitar's mother...)

What was the topic about again?I kind of went into a rant.

honestly though, why does it matter? lure ball was used on totodile, fast ball was used on pineco accidently. i can't remember the last time i've seen a heavy ball in the anime.

It wasn't an accident. Kurt's granddaughter Mazie told him to use it on him, since Pineco was busy runnning towards Team Rocket at the time.

Somebody did use a Heavy Ball on the gigantic Gulpin (in "Gulpin It Down"), but it wasn't Brock's that was used.

At any point, Ash and Misty both still have their Fast Balls, and Brock still has that Heavy Ball of his somewhere. Unless they decided to just leave them at home as mementos of their journey.

the writers forgot about it........they always forget.................they have to much stuff in their heads.........while you are wondering that........they are probobly trying to create 5th generation pokemon........so a writer have to much stuff to worry about, specially when is a long anime like this one

either they forgot(which sems to be a popular opinion) or they plan on having them use them on some legendary pkmn they'll need to capture for an episode... then invariably release.

Haunter was never owned by Ash...it only agreed to help him on one episode, Unlike Larvitar who was on several epis.
About the balls...
Brock used his fast ball on Pineco, Ash and Misty used their Lure Balls... Brock still has a Heavy Ball...you might wonder why he hasn t used it?...well geniuses...they´re best used for catching HEAVY FREGGIN POKEMON...
He hasn t caught a particulary heavy Pokemon lately..if he catches...mm lets say Hippopotasu then he might use it...
On Ash´s fast ball...maybe he left it at home, maybe he doesn t feel like using it because it has NOT been necessary...
Someday they´ll use it tho.
