I have noticed recently thatalot of the new pokemon are all majorly dark, ground, steel, etc. Why are there so many of these in this version? Whatever happened to all of those great flying ,grass, and fire pokemon i like so much?
Or is this just me?

Probably because there aren't that many dark and sreel types ^^

There are only 7 Dark or Mixed Dark types, 10 Ground or Mixed Ground types and 10 Steel or Steel Mixed types. It seems normal to me, but there are more dark and steel types than any previous gen.

Probably because this generation is meant to parralel the 2nd gen, just like RBY and RSE.
