Satoshi has decided to return to Masara Town. However, he can't quite bring himelf to telling the others... In addition, the time for the Rocket Gang to part ways with Mimikkyu and the others is rapidly approaching.

    Screenplay 松井亜弥 (Aya Matsui)
    Storyboard 冨安大貴 (Daiki Tomiyasu)
    Episode Director 冨安大貴 (Daiki Tomiyasu)
    Animation Director 山﨑玲愛 (Rei Yamazaki)

Welp, so much for the Mohn rescue episode. Guess that's for a special or whenever Ash and Gou return to Alola in the next series

So...is this the final episode? Or are we getting specials after this?

If this is the final episode there should be at least one special before the new series starts on November 17th

Welp... SM goes and the new series comes... We're kinda missing the shaymin, magearna and mohn plots... Maybe specials or part of the new series?

At least SM145 wasn’t the last episode, too bad the whole Mohn plot just went out of the water like that..

Honestly I think they should’ve solved that plot before the Pokémon League started especially since there’s been nothing but battling going on for the past 15 episodes to actually resolve any story related plots!

Well whatever, there’s always a special episode they can do this in... I seriously do not want S&M to go unfinished without Mohn making an appearance

Other than that I would love to see Ash back in Pallet Town reunite with his old Pokémon and maybe some friends congratulating him on winning the Alola League!

Well all will be either forgotten or ushed like all the earlier arcs in the SM. Not even a single important arc of this series like aether arc, necrozma arc was well paced or balanced and all were rushed. Mohn is gonna join that rank soon.

So the end of the Alola has finally come. As for the speculated plots, the writers likely ran out of time for those, and must focus on the new series since Sun and Moon are on its way out while Sword and Shield are coming into play.

It's disappointing, but that is basically the ONLY plotline that didn't get resolved. SM answered everything else.

Even seeing Dia again is as easy as Ash looking into a mirror.

Thank you, Alola and good riddance. In the distance you can hear a cricketing sound, eerily similar to a robot in a little girl’s closet in her dad’s basement, crying.

Very, very, surprised that Mohn arc. is completely ignored. Zoroark's appearance, Lillie and Gladion unable to find their father in Tapu Fini's mist; the clues were there. Not to mention the bond between awoken Magearna and Lillie would be a sight to see before the departure of Alola Saga.

The writers kinda abandoning the evil Malamar subplot in XY&Z could be excused as they weren’t that important to the overall story of XY&Z , but Mohn has been foreshadowed in SM for so long, he’s a huge part of Lillie and Gladion’s motivations in the plot and it’s just weird that the writers are seemingly going to abandon this subplot as well.

Say what you want about Alola but at least it ended on a high note, first league win and a pretty good six on six battle.

To be fair, Hapu's implication was that Mohn wasn't in Alola. His reveal as Lusamine's husband in USUM was meant as a twist for those familiar with him from SM. Since Lusamine has a different attitude in the anime, having him be in Alola might be seen as a cop-out. Lillie, Gladion always had strong potential to leave Alola after the series ended, so I would not be torn up if finding their father is that motivation.

The real dropped plotline is Magearna not reawakening. Mohn isn't needed for that.

  16. What about the Mohn arc?

On the brighter side, we may get a Pallet town episode. Or maybe just a normal special episode, even though it's not needed!!

For what it's worth, it does not say "final episode" in a note the way it usually does for a series finale. Though TV specials are generally counted as part of the series.

Wish the November 10th title about Mohn came out with it too so the weird obsessions here would not clutter the thread

Nothing debunks him appearing in either departure episode yet either

I just have to snort at the people who think they are going to forget the long developed Aether family at the last hour despite SM very much being their story, anything else as a last saga special would be redundant when past companions will be back to potentially meet each other next series anyways

Oh no, Ash isn't the only one leaving Alola...

Hope it's just Lillie and just to find her missing father.

For all we know, the title could be refering to Ash leaving with his mother and Professor Oak if they haven't left before this episode.
