...Now they think video games contain racial sterotypes! And the media's hyping it up. As usual. Yet this accusation came in the form of a college thesis! But I think the "games contain racial stereotypes" accusation is another ridiculous accusation that I thought only Jack Tmpsn. would make. According to this story:
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6154591.html
...some video games might be showing signs that perhaps the company that made the game is breaking civil rights laws by making games that contain racial stereotypes, but in reality, that's a pointless accusation...
If people are exposed to racial stereotypes, it could serve as a warning sign if you're addicted to the games of question and once you're addicted to one of those games, it's possible that you could commit a crime related to the sterotype of the game, but the game doesn't cause the crime when it occurs, if it occurs. It's the ones addicted to the games of question in the above article that caused the crime if it occured. But that doesn't mean that they can't tolerate racial sterotyping when really, games are a part of a fantasy world. Games are not real. When will people ever learn...
Now, I think the above story reminds me of the video games vs. violence debate, in which one side, the video games side, is the logical side and the other, the violence side, is the illogical side, and what's the point of accusing companies that really did nothing wrong???
I don't know exactly whether or not if the above article is actually another ridiculous news media accusation in the form of an article, or if it's just an assumption, but discuss the above article anyway...
