OCC//Neo Rockets. They’re the team of the future. Now, not only are they a maniacal team, they are a cult. They have manipulated the powers of Pokemon up to the point of when THEY can actually use Pokemon forces with the motion of a hand. Millions of people are in this cult, and they play an important role in this story.
Prologue
The quaint summer day on the shore of Lilycove City made the happiness seem impenetrable. The fresh smell of June dazzled as wild Lapras’ played in the ocean. Children played volleyball, and mothers gossiped. Not one single person noticed the masked figures roaming the alleys inside of the city. No one knew that the world was about to change. No one knew that they were going to die.
Figures dressed in black robes and gas-masks lurked everywhere in every Hoenn city, yet no person noticed the figures. No one realized durranged cult members walked among them.
‘The end is near!’ They would hiss at passer-bys. People thought they were speaking in tongues. ‘Amnesia,’ the cult-members hissed. The targets ran around in circles, unsure of where they were. ‘Flamethrower,’ another would say, causing an apartment fire.
And then there was the bomb. RAA. Radioactive Air Attacker. Millions of children would cry in fear. Survivors would cry ‘Just take me now!’ NeoRockets didn’t care. They were getting what they wanted, a world where they could practice freely.
Wednesday, June 23, 3402.
2:33 P.M.--- ‘What’s that, mommy?’ A young girl pointed at a missle, high in the air. A white jet-stream followed behind it.
‘Oh, it’s nothing, Janie, just an air plane.’ Said the girls mother wearing a beach hat. Twenty minutes later Janie and Mommy were dead.
RAA fell to the ground with a hiss, flames, and red smog. The gross odor flared through people’s nostrils as they inhaled their last breaths. The smog blinded some, and died their skin a bright red. All broke loose, and no one could do a thing.
‘Let the power of Giovanni compel you!’ The masked cult-followers cried. Helpless people begged for mercy, but it was too late. Radiation was in the atmosphere, and apocalypse had arrived.
Chapter One“Mom, PLEASE! Don’t die…Don’t…die…” A black haired teenage boy sobbed over his mother’s dead body. He wore a handkerchief over his nose. The red smog was now just a cloud over the once lively city. Bodies laid everywhere and Lilycove seemed like a dream to this boy. He picked up his mother, and set her out into the ocean.
“This is the best funeral I can give you, mom…You said you always wanted to float away into a sunset…” He wiped tears away from his eyes. They burned from the remnants of the smog. The muscular teen gazed out into the ocean for what seemed an eternity, then he walked back into the city, back into Heck.
Back into the city, he opened the doors to the once thriving mall. No-one was alive, except for a bunch of looters. “How could they do this?” He thought. They were behaving like animals. There it was. The majestic statue of Mr. Pokemon. Some woman walked up and drank the contaminated water out of the Wishing Pool, and grabbed a handful of coins.
“What’re you going to do with money?” He asked.
“BUY SOMETHING!!!” The woman screeched. He bowed his head and walked out of the mall. The Pokemon Fan Clubhouse was ablaze. The Bakery was in ruins. The desolation was like a pitch-black cloud.
“OPEN UP!!! I NEED HELP!!! I…NEED…help…please…” A boy, somewhat younger than our hero banged on the locked doors of the PokeCenter.
“Can you PLEEEASE help? My mom…and my dad…they’re DIEING!!!” The boy appeared to be 15, and his hair was spiky, and we had thick glasses.
“I dunno, kid…My mom went. Where are they?” The older boy asked.
“They’re in the alley…Over here…” Said the younger boy. He led his last hope over. “I’m Yu, what’s your name?” Asked the boy, which at this time seemed like an irrelevant question.
“My name is Sasuke, and I’m 17. I’m gonna listen for a heartbeat, okay?” Sasuke leaned over against a middle-aged woman. She wore a pretty blouse, and almost reminded Sasuke of his own mother. “She’s…She’s…gone…” The seventeen year old looked up at the now sobbing Yu. He was biting his lip so hard that it was now gushing blood. Sasuke leaned over to the boy’s father, who as well was gone. “I’m really sorry kid…I gotta go now…” Sasuke brushed off his knees, stood, and walked away.
“Wait, Sasuke!!! I’m…I’m scared…” Yu yelled. Sasuke turned around and looked at him. He walked over to the PokeCenter’s window, and kicked through it mightily with his black boot. The glass shattered, and Sasuke walked through. Yu was hesitant.
“Are ya comin’ or not, kid?” Sasuke looked at the kid on the other side. He stepped through.
Sasuke hopped over the counter, and looked for medication. He barbarically opened cupboards and threw everything to the floor. Potions, Ethers, Repellants, and many other products made it seem like a surplus. Yu, who had been standing in a corner walked over, and sat on the counter.
“Yu, do you got Pokemon?” Sasuke asked.
“Yeah…Phanphy, Swellow, Shellgon, and Growlithe…” Yu replied, counting off his Pokemon. Sasuke grabbed a handful of bottles, and set them on the counter.
“Heal them, that Radiation was pretty wicked.” Sasuke himself took three pokeballs off of his black vest and tossed them. His own companions were a Larvitar, a Torkoal, and a Crawdaunt. All three of the Pokemon laid unconscious. Sasuke shook a bottle, just like a carton of milk, and healed his mates. ‘Grrhhhh…’ Yu’s stomach rumbled, and that reminded the two that they were very hungry.
“Let’s go into the backroom, I think that’s where all the Ramen and PokeChow is.” Yu jimmied the handle in the back. “Sauce, it’s locked.” Yu turned around and told his companion. Sasuke strutted to the door and kicked it. The door fell over and cracked in half.
The shelves were stacked with boxes, and they carried them out one by one.
‘I think that’s all,” Sasuke said. He took out a knife and cut a box open. “PokeChow…” He tossed the food to the side, them proceeded to open another box.
“I’ll go get some water…” Yu stood and started to walk away.
“No, are you stupid? The water’s probably contaminated!” Sasuke sarcastically scolded his younger pal.
The boys ate Ramen noodles, minus the water. All was dark, and neither had a flashlight. The city was silent, and had an eerie feeling. The stars were hidden, and Torkoal’s flaming glow was the only light.
“What should we do in the morning?” Yu asked.
“We? Look, dude, I just told you if your parents were dead and made you supper, I didn’t say we were friends.” Sasuke’s harsh attitude hurt Yu. Yu sniveled.
“Oh…I thought we’d get on my Swellow and search for life…” Yu bribed Sasuke, and Sasuke knew that the offer was too good to pass up.
“Fine, I’ll see you in the morning.” Sasuke fell asleep onto the cold, hard tile, hoping he’d wake up in his bed to find that this was a dream…
Chapter 2
A stinging sensation traveled throughout Yu’s body. The sun shown through the opening in the front of the PokeCenter.
“Get up!” Sasuke kicked Yu again. “Come on, if we’re gonna go, LET’S GO!” Yu slowly got up from his tile bed and yawned.
“Aaahhh….So…it really happened…It wasn’t a dream…” Yu vaguely said, looking into the ruin-filled street.
“No, nimtard, it WASN’T a dream, I know, I’m sad too…Now, let’s go…” Sasuke shoved Yu outside.
The fresh morning breeze whisked through the two teens hair. The smog had cleared through the night, but the air still had a distinct odor to it. Yu lightly tossed a pokeball, and lightly patted Swellow on the head.
“Good morning buddy, have a good sleep?” Yu asked his Swellow that question as if Swellow was human. Sasuke was impressed by Yu’s relationship with his Pokemon. Swellow cooed lightly, and Yu strapped a saddle onto the giant blue bird.
“Hop on, Saucey.” Yu patted the leather saddle. “Oh, wait.” Yu walked over to his mom and dad’s bodies, and said The Lords Prayer, and said goodbye.
The dead feelings that had been with Sasuke the afternoon before once again filled his body when he was in the air. Bodies of Pokemon laid piled in the Safari Zone. The once lush forest was now a mass of black branches.
Yu was a master with his Swellow. Their trust was unbreakable, it was like they were communicating without words. Swellow turned around and they flew out into the ocean. Drift wood and 3 near-dead Wailmer’s cluttered the once glimmering ocean. The ocean that comforted hot feet on a hot day, the same ocean that was once beautiful.
“We gotta save those Wailmer!!!” Yu exclaimed.
“Kid, no, let’s just move on, everything dies…” Sasuke rolled his eyes as Swellow descended onto a sandbar. Yu hopped off of Swellow and trudged to the nearest Wailmer. His ripped a potion out of his pocket, and made the Wailmer drink.
“There there, big guy,” Yu rubbed the Wailmer. He walked over to the other two and healed them the same.
“We gotta take them with us, Sasuke, they’ll die swimming in this goo.” Yu grabbed two empty Pokeballs and the Wailmers went without hesitation.
“No, I don’t want a Wailmer,” Sasuke got back onto Swellow. “Let’s go, and just leave the other one.” The remaining Wailmer cried out.
“Fine, then loan me a pokeball…” Yu commanded Sasuke. Sasuke tossed his younger companion an ultraball. “Thank you.” Yu walked back to Swellow, just as a Tropius landed on the sand bar.
“What do you think YOU’RE doing?” A teenage girl with brown eyes and a black curtain of hair tied in a pony-tail jumped off of her dinosaur and ran towards Yu.
“I just healed these Wailmers, nothing else.” Yu raised his hands and backed away.
“You filthy scum, thinking you can become Pokemon yourselves…Killing 99% of Earth’s population!!!” She took out a pistol and held it up. “You will pay!!! YOU KILLED MY FAMILY!!!”
“Wait! We’re just kids!!!” Sasuke hopped off of Swellow.
“Oh yeah? Are you?” The girl took her finger off of the trigger.
“Look, we’re just as confused as you about who dropped the bomb.” Yu dropped the three pokeballs containing the Wailmers.
“Oh, I’m not confused about who dropped that bomb. It was Neo Team Rocket. That filthy cult! And you will pay! You don’t play stupid with ME!!!” She placed her finger back on the trigger.
“NeoRockets are just millions of people who like being sleezeballs, and nothing else.” Sasuke slowly approached the pistol-wielding teen.
“Oh, no they aren’t! And you’re going to give those Pokemon to Giovanni’s labs, and they’re gonna learn how to manipulate water, then you’re gonna turn this innocent Pokemon into a Zeta Species!!!” She swept up the three pokeballs and stuffed them into a messenger bag on her side…
“Crazy woman…” Yu whispered. The lady walked over and took out a long rope. “I halfway trust you guys, so I’m gonna bring you with me. Put that Swellow away.” Yu put his Swellow back into his ball, and the lady tied the two boys together.
“My name’s Kairi by the way.” She lifted the boys onto her Tropius, and they disappeared into the sky…

Note//This is the year 3400. Giovanni's grandson, Giovanni III, was a very religious person. In the year 2077 him and Team Rocket started expirements, learning to manipulate the powers of pokemon. The first move, learned by Giovanni, was Rock Smash. Teams Aqua, Magma, Cipher, and Snag'em all signed treaties with Team Rocket, because they were jealous of Team Rocket's new discovery. Neo Team Rocket was formed. Giovanni IV, in the year 2121, promoted the manipulation of the powers of a pokemon. Many of people became interested. The 1st Neo Rocket Church was formed. Their belief was that with the manipulation of powers, they could live forever, eventually.
In the Year 3000, Giovanni XXIII named the manipulation of Pokemon's powers "Kinenergy." By this time 30,000 people were participating.
Now, in 3400, millions of people are participating in the practice of Kinenergy.
Chapter 3
Yu and Sasuke shifted uncomfortably in the rope. Yu’s arms were purple, and Sasuke was haven’t a hard time breathing. The Tropius flew even smoother than Swellow, masterfully navigating above the ocean. Hours passed, and the boys lost consciousness. Kairi kept her eyes ahead, and just as the noon sun was right over head, the Tropius descended into a large metropolis, named LaRousse City…
“Ugggh…” Yu groaned, and sat up. His arm was trembling. The cement floor made his body feel so numb. “Where…are we?” Yu looked around. Five teenagers, (including Kairi) were crowded around him and the still-unconscious Sasuke.
“You’re at Hippie Teen Extremist’s Headquarters, in downtown LaRousse City.” One nerdy looking boy smartly stated.
“LaRousse…I think of heard of it before, aren’t the new Frontier Brain’s stationed here? And aren’t they known for their universities?” Yu scratched his head, then patted Sasuke on the head. “Wake up, Sauce,” Sasuke grunted, then opened his eyes.
“Oh, crud. It’s her again,” Sasuke closed his eyes. “Where are we, little man?”
“LaRousse City. Me and these four loons are Pokemon Extremists, trying to dismantle NeoRocket.” Kairi said.
“In other words, we’re just a bunch of hippies with computers and Pokemon…” The nerd who had lectured Yu said sarcastically.
“We’re gonna give you a Polygraph Test. Kentaro, get the HDD’s and hook them up.” Kairi talked to her friends as if she was the boss. Yu assumed that she was.
“Test them again, they can’t be clean!!!” Kairi desperately commanded the dark haired and thick glasses boy, named Kentaro. Kentaro sighed.
“I’m tellin’ you, Kai. These guys are just as innocent as you and me and the others.” Kentaro removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes. The other three members sat in chairs like judges, staring down Yu and Sasuke. Sasuke felt like he was a prisoner, being interrogated for an unspeakable crime.
“But this one,” Kairi grabbed Yu by his shirt collar, “he captured 3 Wailmers!”
“What difference does that make, Kairi? So what if there’s someone else on this planet who wants to help Pokemon?” A red-haired girl with beady brown eyes glared at Kairi.
“Sen’s right,” Kentaro meekly commented.
Kairi’s eyes shone white. She’d had a revelation. “Fine, get up you two, you’re clean. Let’s go to the meeting room, now.” Everyone stood and followed Kairi. Sasuke and Yu were relieved to finally be trusted.
“Well, I guess we never got properly acquainted. Well, I’m Kairi, and you guys met Kentaro.” The teens were sitting at a ragged old card table. Kentaro waved.
“I’m Sen.” The red haired girl waved. She was very lax.
“Riku’s the name. Me and Ken are the computer whiz’z, and I fix the hovercraft.” This boy was tall and muscular. He had long wavy blonde hair and blue eyes.
“I’m Rikus’ sister, Lilia.” She was about Yu’s age, and had streaked brown hair.
“Now,” Sen asked, “who are you, and where are you from?”
“I’m Sasuke, and I’m from Lilycove…Or I was…” Sasuke gave a ‘heads-up,’ and smiled.
“My name’s Yu, and yeah I’m from Lilycove also…” Yu gave a semi-smile.
“Well, why were you out in the middle of the ocean?” Kairi folded her arms and looked at them.
“We were flying around, trying to find civilization, and this numb-nut insisted that we helped those Wailmer…” Sasuke pointed at Yu.
“Those Wailmer would’ve DIED if we didn’t help them, and what if they’re the last Wailmers alive?!?!?!?!” Yu got into Sasuke’s face and argued.
“Yu is right. These 3 Wailmer may be the last of their race.” Kairi took out the three lusterous pokeballs. “We’ve been planning for this day. We knew Neo’s plans.”
“I hacked the computer system. They changed their passwords, but one day me and Riku were just screwing around, and we got in. We TRIED warning the Prime Minister’s, but no one believed us. Now, they’re dead, and I wonder if they believe us…Idiots…Luckily, LaRousse was completely missed, and we just had a small earthquake…I can’t believe it…It’s hard to imagine that the rest of the world is a post-apocalyptic wasteland…” Kentaro ranted, and from the look on Sen’s face he did that a lot.
“We go out on missions…One of Neo Team Rocket’s offices sits just below this very city. Their kinenergy…It’s so amazing…They wanted a world to themselves, where they could meditate freely…And be all power…” Riku set his feet on the table. A stench came off of his boots.
“What are you going to do now? Now that Lilycove’s gone?” Kairi looked apathetically at Yu and Sasuke.
“We haven’t really thought about that yet…It’s all just gone so quickly. Eighteen hours ago, I set my mother’s body out into the ocean…” A tear streamed down Sasuke’s now-red cheek. Kairi’s eyes gleamed.
“You could…always join us…” Kairi bowed her head, and her members looked at her.
Side Note//Since THIS IS the year 3400, the vehicles are hovercrafts and airships. They run completely off of sunlight.
Chapter 4
“This is a PDA. Strap it around your head. It may seem strange to always be wearing a computer on a mission, especially if they’re your glasses. You can communicate, take pictures, see through walls, basically ANYTHING in your wildest dreams. If it breaks, bring it to ME immediately. It was hard to steal these things…” Kentaro held up two PDA’s, high technology monocles. Yu and Sasuke were swamped in gear. Knives, tasers, rifles, belts, vests, and boots.
“Last, but not least, your badges.” Kairi handed each of the boys a crude, metal plate. “I know, they’re useless, but it has some sentimental value. Oh, and when we go out tonight, paint your faces PITCH BLACK.” Kairi smiled as the boy’s stomachs churned. Their first mission.
“This is Sassy Leader reporting to Little Newb, do you copy?” Kairi’s image appeared on Yu’s PDA. Yu really hated his code name. “Why did Sauce get the cooler New SlyGuy?” Yu thought.
“This is Little Newb and Swellow reporting to Sassy, we ARE in position.” Yu spoke softly into his mic. He loved being able to be like an agent from the movies. Swellow cooed softly in the background. The blue bird was just as confused as his trainer.
“And your position is, Newb?” This was Kairi’s way of making sure that the ‘n00b’ had followed instruction.
“Atop the Emerald Tower at LU, Sassy, so far everything IS secure.” Yu was on top of the large clock-tower at LaRousse University. His parents had wanted him to go to this college…
Yu’s job was to make sure that no-one knew that Riku, Sen, and Sasuke were using Sasuke’s Larvitar to break into Neo’s underground lair.
“All is well, I hope. I’ll give you the right-away when it’s time. Sassy Leader out.” Kairi’s image disappeared from the monitor. Yu’s heart beat louder than ever. What if the cult caught them?
“Faster, Larvitar. We don’t wanna get caught!!!” Sasuke hurried his Larvitar’s progress as the Pokemon was digging swiftly five feet underground.
“Don’t hurry him, we have all the time, just as long as Yu’s doing his job.” Sen’s voice was gentle to Sasuke in such a stressful situation. The dirt piled high in the dark alley, just outside of the warehouse in which Kairi’s team’s headquarters was.
“Once we get under there, we’re gonna have to walk about four miles.” Riku commented. He was guarding, grasping his rifle and keeping his eyes glued to the scope.
“Walk? Isn’t it pure water down there?” This strange, new city was foreign to Sasuke.
“No, the water runs through a thick fiber glass tube. There’s a lot of wiring down there next to the tube, so don’t get electrocuted.” Sen smiled as she scared her new friend. Sasuke winced. He was embarrassed that he didn’t appear tough.
“Larviii!!!!” Sasuke’s green little friend cried as he’d fell beneath the ground.
“Looks like we’re there. I’ll call in.” Sen dialed Kairi’s address.
“This is Red Devil calling to the Sass Master, we’ve struck gold.” That was Sen’s fancy term for ‘the hole works.’ Sen walked into the warehouse, where Kentaro and Lilia were typing furiously on the computer.
“You guys are in luck tonight. There’s a board meeting on Nine Island to celebrate. The security level is low, so far there are only ten guards. Good luck.” Lilia looked up at Sen.
“This is the perfect time to break the newbies in, so don’t be scared.” Kentaro touched Sen’s hand as she waved goodbye.
Everyone except for Ken and Lilia crowded around the hole. It was ten feet deep, and very dark below.
“What do we do now?” Yu asked, furrowing his brow. Riku took out a neon looking stick.
“Flash grenades and glow sticks...Our flashlights really suck, Kairi needs to steal some more…” Riku took out a lighter and a sizzling nose erupted from the flash grenade.
“Stand back.” Kairi advised. Riku dropped the grenade, and a BOOM! Erupted. Kairi jumped down, and threw a grapple hook up to Riku. One by one everyone crawled into the now illuminated cavern. Riku passed out glow sticks.
“Stick together, everyone, it’s a four-mile trek from here…” Sen smiled. “Let’s blow this joint.”
“She has a way of scaring me,” Sasuke whispered in Yu’s ear.
Chapter 5
Yu and Sasuke struggled to keep up with the team. Kairi, Riku, and Sen were fit, and didn’t wait for anyone. The three fast ones had their guns in hand, so Yu and Sasuke did the same.
“Don’t be scared, just a precaution. Neo Rocket’s have no mercy whatsoever. They’ll shoot you without a thought. Do the same.” Kairi’s cold heart seemed impenetrable. She wanted a sort of revenge.
A dull white light shone ahead after what had seemed hours of walking. A big metallic door blocked the entrance to the hideout, like the stone to Jesus’ tomb.
“Ken, Lil, we’re here. Crack it.” Sen called into Kentaro and Lilia so they would enter the codes through the computers at the base. After a second, the door whooshed open, and the team walked in.
Flourescent white lights gleamed in white room they were lead into. Test tubes cluttered tables and cabinets. Notes laid all over. Kairi read everything, to absorb all she could. Sen photographed. Yu and Sasuke inhaled the odorless air, and took in the white sight.
“Let’s move on. We’re gonna extract.” Kairi led her followers to an elevator.
“What do you mean by ‘extract?’” Sasuke asked suspisciously.
“Basically, we’re gonna steal their Pokemon, heal them, and let them go free.” Riku smiled, and it seemed that he liked this part.
The elevator let them off even farther below the surface. Giant, clear casket-type tubes contained Pokemon of all sorts. Charizards, Squirtles, and even a few Steelix were kept in oozing liquid. The whole room itself was bigger than Kairi’s hideout. Numbers tagged every Pokemon, with a simple XD19283042 as the tag, and not a name.
“Hey, turn on that big screen. Maybe we can see the rally!” Sen pointed to the movie-screen sized television. Riku pushed a button, and Giovanni XXX’s head of slick, black hair appeared on the screen.
“My followers. My disciples. We have gathered here today to celebrate The Apocalypse. Our reign has started!!! LaRousse City is purposely still existing, but that will change. We are the Ultimates. Those fools who died deserved every last punishment! They did not notice the mass of people, wearing capes and masks! The didn’t know, that we used Kinenergy to survive. We can re-breed the Pokemon, but we will NOT re-breed the dirty humans, who didn’t believe. So follow me, your King and Messiah!!! Follow me into everlasting life! Glory! POWER!!!!!!!” Giovanni’s crowd gave an uproar, and Kairi abruptly turned the TV off. An awkward silence made everything seem so distant as Yu and Sasuke thought about the day before.
“Kentaro, we’re here, do you think you can find their new password?” Sen called into Kentaro on her PDA. Everyone listened in on the conversation.
“No can do, this one is pretty solid. Take notes with you, and that’s the be,” Kentaro’s voice was cut off by Yu’s whisper.
“Guys! Look on the screen, guard coming OUR way!” Yu directed everyone’s attention toward one of the many computer monitors in the room.
“Let’s go. Make a run for it.” Kairi ran to the door and everyone sprinted behind her. They heard footsteps in the room that they were in seconds ago. Their hearts were beating hard. THUMP. THUMP. THUMP!
“Come on, stupid elevator!!!” The crew was standing in the now, extremely slow, elevator. The metallic door of the elevator slid open, and they made a run for it. They were in the room that they had entered in. POWWWW!
“Oooooowwww! AHHHHHHHH!!!!” Yu cried as everyone looked back at his body on the floor. He’d tripped on a chair leg. Riku walked over, picked him up and threw him over his shoulder.
“Sorry, no time. We gotta go!!!” Riku ran to catch up with the others, who were now in the tunnel. THUMP. THUMP. THUMP. FASTER, FASTER!!!!
“Helllllo?” An unfamiliar voice echoed through the tunnel. THE GUARD. Everyone looked at eachother and started running faster. THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.
“Finally…” Sen wheezed. They were now standing at the opening of the warehouse.
“That was close, Yu. We could’ve been caught.” Kairi put a finger on Yu’s chest.
“Kai.” Riku glared at Kairi, telling her to back off.
“Just try to be more careful, kid.” Riku patted Yu on the back. Larvitar covered the hole and the crew retired for the night.

Chapter 6 is on the way, but it may not come until tomorow.
