Oct 13th: XY&Z045 - One Last Battle with Ash! Serena's Choice!!

I kinda agree with Soniman on this one. It is a weird moral to skip out on a high rank agent who can potentially make her dreams come true to have fun with your bff. Though Yashio did give Serena her card in case she wanted to be her apprentice. And I think Serena doesn't care much for being Kalos Queen anymore. Her new dream is to make people smile with her Performances and sure she isn't the best but she'll be living life how SHE wanted and with her friend whom they both are (most likely) not taking their goal of becoming Kalos Queen seriously. I do believe that Serena still has ton of improvement to go through, she can't hold out keeping people entertained if her Performances are always almost exactly the same as before. Serena can really benefit from being trained by Yashio and she has been told that she's missing something that will help her defeat Elle.

But since her dream has changed (at the last minute), she seems content with just performing and having fun rather than being the best so as long as it's paying her bills and Serena being happy then it's a happy end to her story.

I don't quite understand why some people are against Braixen evolving seeing that she won al those performances (which I assume must earn her exp just like battling) and then the ***** has just fighted the damn monolith side by side with two Megas + Ash-Greninja, Pikachu, M-Charizard X and the Gym Leaders as if it was no big deal :dead:

I think Serena's dream is still to become Kalos Queen, and I think she is still taking it seriously; but I think she has also added the dream of making people smile with her Performances, because she realizes that is one piece of the puzzle that she is missing.

The anime set up Palmero as Serena's departure ticket, and I still think that is what she will be. Just because Serena performs with Shauna in this episode doesn't mean she decides to ditch Palmero's invitation. After all, there has been no indication that Performances are a multi-human act. We've never seen two or more Performers performing together in a Showcase.

I just had a visual of that, and for some reason, it was slightly terrifying. Probably because I envisioned Delphox's fur arranged like Serena's hairstyle.

I think you are taking the moral too literally. I think it's simply that happiness brings success, carve your own path, among others. But we have yet to see what Serena actually chooses and how she goes about it, so it could be a totally different situation than what we thought. Maybe Palermo takes back the offer after seeing her on tv with her friends and thinks that's the best way for her to bring out the thing she is missing?

I wish Serena and her pokemon had more actual and complete battles. seems as if Slyveon is the sole member to full a battle that was uninterrupted besides Fennekin (who lost) in the 3 vs 3 battle.

But, I do remember Fennekin participating in other triple battles that were super brief in that episode...

Serena lost to Aria because Aria already had a established fanbase while Serena was still new. Given how Performances are judged there was no way Serena could have won against Aria at that time. She had legions of followers and was a celebrity. Serena is a nobody who even after the Master Class nobody acknowledges her as someone famous. Serena magically associating with Palmero won't change that.

Sigh, shes going to TRAIN Serena, not just give her fame. That whole "Aria only won due to popularity" crap was only some malarkey PAD made up to **** on showcases and was never brought up as a factor in the actual show

Because Braixen is a lot more popular than Delphox in Japan , look at Pokken tournament , it's like asking why Pikachu is not evolving lol.
