Tbh if they just follow the games lore (and adapt the post game with the dynamax Pokémon) its gonna be pretty boring too and predictable

I don't mind RS' usage of the evil teams that much since it was the first time, they were testing the waters

The fact we're getting four episodes means they're expanding the lore to XY levels

The story in the games would maybe take ten minutes, and that's with 9 minutes of slow panning monologues from Rose about the nonexistent energy crisis

Sooo replace everything about the lore, shoo away the Legendary foils, and conjure a mythical huge boulder from a different region in its place while totally tricking this very gullible teenage girl who was otherwise just a normal girl to work for Rose on a strange reason?

But it's something we should worry about even if we'll all be dead when it happens!!!!

Not thinking twice!
So Takashi Shinohara kicks off this arc...tbh I feel like his episodes are a mixed bag in terms of animation

Who put the Weald in the way to Magnolia's? There's not even a train track near the Weald.

Geez, okay, we get it. It's uber important to describe the guy in full for this little trinket, summary.

It's common for this type of magazine summaries to describe things and characters in "unnecessary" detail the first time they're mentioned, since they may be read by people that have no idea who this "Dande" person is. See also the " Musashi and Kojiro from the Rocket Gang" wording in the episode 41 magazine summary that was just "Musashi and Kojiro" in the TV Tokyo version.

I find it interesting that they go through the Weald first instead of doing the same plot from the games. They could have had Goh catch a Wooloo near Magnolia’s lab and then after Goh let’s it out of its Poke ball it decides to roll into the Weald. Would have been an interesting plot to pull off as well, but to have them go through the Weald and be separated makes things more interesting.
