What is the airspeed of an unladen Swellow?
You can say whatever you want about Zmoves or Ash-Greninja, but at least he had to work to use them
How did he have to work to use his first Z-Move? Didn’t Tapu Koko literally hand him a Z-Ring and Z-Crystal early in the series before Ash even learned about the Island Challege?

Ash didn't work on pikashunium Z.

Fanbois will tell you it's all about their bond, but that begs the question "why do ash and pikachu have the strongest bond in the entire univere?"

Ash and bea should be together after this episode. Friendzone serena as she sucks in pokemon battles.

Btw what is the the red cloud coming out of Machamp's ass in poster? Is he farting?
Honestly the joke is overused and it's getting tiring to see Serena being brought up like this, give it a rest already.

.......I mean the entire anime is basically a testament to why Ash and Pikachu have a strong ass bond

Their bond was always showcased throughout in every series though.... the reason its so powerful is because of their bond which was shown throughout the entire series
It shouldn't be so broken though, that's the point. MC being the strongest person in the universe is just bad writing, not even dragon ball which is infamous for it's inconsistent power level BS is guilty of this.

Love the idea of a Mega Lucario managing to smite a rampaging Kaiju Pokémon. Some Attack on Titans-level **** for real. Do kind of wish it was Negigaknight pulling it off though on something like a dragon being slayed by a knight. Will the Kyodaimax run out, be defeated as is, or will Saito simply beat him with or without the mechanic.

Kind of cool Satoshi’s coming back with fully-grown Fighting-type Pokémon, Mega Evolution and Pikachu having used his strongest Thunderbolt in the series. Pretty good sense of “progression” in that regard.

Its not like they overspam it though, Ash is kept pretty defeatable still in this series

Irrelevant, point is you can absolutelly have a well written story with op protagonist.
It’s a well written “satire”. The whole point of saitama is to prove how ridiculous the idea of an unbeatable protagonist is and it does that very well. It’s the same as rorschach from watchmen. You’re not supposed to adore them, quite the opposite.
He struggled against her and won only coz of his strategies
that’s simply not true and you know it.

.....? Literally many of my comments in the Iris episode thread is defending Dracovish's victory for why it made sense and Dragonite only used Draco Meteor coz Ash's strategy gave it the foundation to do so, not to mention the counter shield hurricane used previously in the episode. Sure it wasnt as strategic as say Ash vs Volkner but Ash didnt win through brute force only

Not even the best swordsman can win using a dull blade. Ash might be a master strategist but the pokemon's innate strength does matter. These pokemon were ridiculously OP from the moment ash captured/hatched them. To say that he won only with strategy is BS.

I don't care about the "point", there is way more going on in OPM than just comedy. Your argument is flawed because it implies that there is such a thing as a bad idea inherently, "inherently bad ideas" don't exist in fiction and I don't even need the existence of a story that proves this point for it to be real.

The stakes in OPM end up being generated through other, less powerfull characters, but also through Saitama's struggle to find a worthy opponent. It doesn't matter if it's trying to satirize anything, it proves that you can have stakes despite the character being powerfull, and that's one of the most important parts - Whether your story has stakes.

Also interesting that you bring up Watchmen, I haven't seen it but wasn't Doctor Manhattan's whole deal that he was the most powerfull being in the universe but the story still found a way to write around that by making him doubt his existence and merits of humanity?
