'Odd' Egg from Daycare

Well the first time I went to the Day care, I talked to the man and he gave me an Odd egg.

What's in it?

Edit: I am not talking about that Togepi one.

Any baby Pokemon other than Togepi. It is 50% shiny.

It's an Elekid. At least, that was what hatched from my odd egg.

I got an igglybuff and I dont think there is away to change it. Im pretty sure that the pokemon is decided when you start over.

Odd Egg can hatch into any of the following:
Igglybuff
Cleffa
Pichu
Elekid
Smoochum
Magby
Tyrogue


If you aren't happy with your egg, you'll have to restart your game to get a different one. I haven't been happy with my Cleffa or Tyrogue that I got (restarted the game, fyi) but meh.
If you want it to be Shiny, you'll have to save before taking it and each time walk with it until it hatches until you get a Shiny, I believe.

You are more likely to get a shiny in that egg than any other. Unfortunately, I only had one, which was Smoochum.

However, almost all of my odd eggs have been Magbys. All Female. Unless it's a Tyrogue, it's most likely gonna be female.

It will be one of the babies that Psychic mentioned, but it has a 50% chance of being shiny. That's how my friend got a shiny Magby (it evolved and has bred two more shiny magby)

Oh, so THAT'S why it keeps hatching into a shiny on my brother's Crystal...

Yah, like others have said, it hatches into any baby Pokémon except for Togepi. The hatchling automatically knows Dizzy Punch and has a 50% chance of being Shiny.

Myth. I'm sure if I did that as much times I've tried to hatch a shiny Magikarp, it wouldn't be shiny at all.

I may have only hatched one odd egg but I don't believe in that saying.

It sucks though because in my opinion, the baby pokemon's shiney form looks VERY similar to its non shiney form.

If I remember correctly, there was a slight change between the Japanese and English versions for the Odd Egg....I think the Japanese was 50% chance of it being shiny but the English one was something like 14%... it was all something to do with the cell phone connectivity feature I think...

I'll see if I can find some proof, but I'm pretty sure it's something like that.
