• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

I just bred a timid Hustle Nidoran-M and had it checked out with the IV checker. It has 31IVs in HP, SpAtk and Speed, but its potential is only above average overall... is this worth keeping as its IVs in the remaining stats must be horrific?

Sounds worth keeping if you can still bred it and pass those IV's on with a female nidoran with better IV's in the remaining three stats. Anyway, if you have a 31 in SpAtt then I doubt you'd you it for physical attacks, so the attack IV shouldn't matter much. Outside not having higher defensive IV's, this one still sounds like a keeper just for 3 31 IV's.

how do you check IV's?

You can use an IV Calculator like the one found on Serebii, just be sure to correctly input everything.

Or you could use Pokecheck.org, much easier and faster, doesn't require any number input, just gives you the numbers itself.

The latter works only if you have access to WiFi.

Sorry, im kinda new to this evs and nature business. Whats pokecheck? Im currently in wellspring cave trying to catch a poliwag with an adament nature not to mention its water absord ability

I'll start breeding Modest Levitate Tinamos. I expect a spread like 29+/x/25+/31/25+/31 or something like this. Acid Spray Eelektross FTW.

And, just to know, how do you count EV's? I always forget to count on paper so I found count via PP's easily.

I usually count using PP when I'm feeling daring. I sometimes write down how many I've accumulated, but only rarely.

Well, I bred +20 Modest Nature Tynamos, and I got this:

Modest Tynamo NNmed "F": 26/17/10/31/31/31 HP Ice 68
Modest Tynamo NNmed "01": 19/24/18/31/31/31 HP Ice 68

They're the best ones I got. Which one should I use? I personally like F, because of the good HP. I liked the HP Ice 68, pretty lucky Hidden Power I got xD

Shockking

i dont know anymore
I lost track of the EVs on my Tympole for my hopeful drizzle team after not playing Pokemon for a few months D:... I hope I didn't miss any events...

And to Spuk, I'm sorta lost after not doing pokemon for a while but I like 01's stats better...

I have always used PP, and I have never screwed up (well, I have, but not because I miscounted).

Given that you're probably not using your Attack stat, I doubt it makes a difference which one you use.

I'll not use physical attacks, so my doubts is in the Defense and HP stats. Should I use the balanced HP and Def or the one with high HP? I still prefer the one who have more HP IV, which increases Eelektross bulky.

Yeah, you'd be better off going for the one with a higher HP IV.

So, "F" is the winner! I lazy to breed other Tynamos, and it's the better one I got, w/ good IV's and HP Ice. Or I learn about RNG and make Flawless 'mons

Thanks for the help Sui~

Now I'll try my new (reformulated) method of EV training on it.

I have an eevee with the dw ability and perfect hp, attack, special attack, and speed and a calm nature. Which Eeveelution should I choose?

Either Espeon or Vaporeon IMO. Especially Vaporeon, which will takes advantage of Hydration in Rain and of the good Nature. Espeon will takes advantage in the perfect Speed and Sp. Atk IV's, making a good Magic Guard Sweeper. It's a pity that the nature isn't Timid for Espeon. So, basically, if you want a defensive 'mon, use Vappy. If you like offensive, get a Espeon w/ Magic Guard.

Well I also have a careful one with perfect defense, special attack and special defense. Should I go espeon on the calm one and vaporeon on the careful one?
