I thought I remembered reading somewhere that Ash was like 10, and Misty was 12. Brock was significantly older than the two--I believe 15, 16, actually--and Jessy and James were only 18.

And if I'm referencing right, I really, REALLY want to say it was some official pokemon guide thing I got way back in the day. I'd have to dig it up and hook y'all up with some info like CRAZY, WOO.
