i got no shinys from any of these but i have gotten shines from a chain of 4 nidoran male
and 17 vibrava

I know, not very good, but I don't chain much, and not until recently knew about not stepping in patches in lines with other patches or adjacent diagonals with other patches. Still, most of my chain breaks are when I step in a bad patch while recharging the radar.

TIP: if chaining magnemite use a steel type and stick in the furthur-away patches of grass if chaining from the middle. somebody avenge me.
