insert joke so dated I don't even remember it
I got to the factory thing, stopped playing for 2 months, then picked back up.
My team was Jolteon, Walrein, and the strong shadows.

[Ampharos]

They best be trollin
Alright, wondering if my team will suffice....

Vaporeon, level 45
Medicham, level 40
Electabuzz (from elekid) level 40
Houndoom level 40 (for Exeggutor)
Ursaring, level 40
(spot for Lugia)

I'm facing Greevil after school tonight. Wish me luck!
Good luck. o.<
His pokemon are all around 50.

I recommend having an empty slot for XD001, but everyone already does that. You should also have a Pokemon that can induce sleep (Gardevoir worked best for me) so it's easier to catch their Pokemon and temporarily shut one or both of the opposing Pokemon down.

i always use master ball right away to snag luigia but i don't have a slot in party for him

here's my steam which i succesfully caught lugia and all shadow pokemon with:
umbreon, lv66.
houndoom, lv67.

i only used two teamies for the entire game to save myself alot of hours training them,
anyway i let umbreon perform a few tackles on lugia so it's HP get's in red and then i paralyze it and start using ultra balls on him and heal every now and then, houndoom is mostly there to kill any foes who are not dark or to damage pokemons with a high defense.

I did the masterball and emptly slot trick. instead of knocking out 3 or four of his team i caught them all in one shot. That was rough. Salamence took so much damage for me. i had trouble with his executor though. i actually caught a bird with a pokeball. that was really neat.

for shadow lugia, keep an empty space so your masterball gets lugia in

as for the full greevil battle, there are three ways

the easy way:
use shadow salamence and shadow electabuzz first, switch out salamence for lugia before shadow hold takes affect, use electabuzz's shadow half to half the pokemons health, then chuck ultra balls

the supereffective way: switch salamence for lugia then try afflicting status conditions then use shadow half then chuck balls

the cheap way:
switch electabuzz out for lugia, then stall for about 40 turns then chuck timer balls

my planned team against second greevil fight (one where u catch the birds)

Shadow salamence
Shadow Electabuzz
Umbreon
Ursaring
Shadow Dragonite
Shadow Lugia

You can only catch Dragonite after you have caught every other Shadow Pokémon and from the sounds of things, you haven't.

I just stacked my team with the best shadow pokemon from the previous few fights with his admins, and then used lots of hyper potions while weakening his pokemon. Caught all six in one try.

oh god i remember that battle, i was freaked out and i was all like omg this is gonna be rediculously hard but i ended up successfully catching every one of his pokemon on my first try XD

That's what she said
This is the method I used:

-Use the Master Ball on Shadow Lugia. You won't need it with any of Master Greevil's Shadow Pokemon. They are too easy to catch. Also, Have a free slot in your team

-Have Plenty of Ultra Balls in your Bag. You'll need them for Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno

-Have a good team in hand. I believe My team was: My Umbreon, Metagross, my Shadow Lugia and nothing else.

-Be Patient. You may not beat Master Greevil the first time you fight him.

The fight after Lugia is incredibly annoying. It's difficult to catch all of them in one try, especially the birds with their shadow elements.

My party when doing it WITHOUT LUGIA! I snagged Lugia and let my Pokemon attack each other so Lugia had no EVs. I wanted to EV train Lugia. My strategy everytime I play XD. Shadow Pokemon not allowed to battle (scents+purification chamber>GBA>DS).

Lapras (Heal Bell).
Altaria (Heal Bell).
Togepi (Tri Attack).
Salamence (Refresh).
Scyther (Morning Sun).
Lugia (I have no other way to get Lugia besides XD).

They need good natures and IVs. Also abilities in case of Lapras and Togepi.

Is this the hardest thing ever in a pokemon game? It seems like a huge mountain to climb.

It's actually one of the easiest.

you did thats amazing but I dont know about Lapras being a tank

That's what Lapras is best at, tanking.

Anyways, getting all seven in one battle is extremely easy. Just bring 5 pokemon, if you want some can be shadow, it helps but isn't necessary. Note that shadow pokemon with non shadow moves are godly in this as the opponents moves are ineffective yet theirs' aren't. Simply use the masterball on lugia, and use that to tank all the shadow moves while another pokemon(espeon and salamence are good) whittles them down. As long as you bring enough potions and balls it is very easy, just long.

No, you can rebattle him as many times as it takes to snag them all.

This was a really fun battle, in my opinion. because I went in with no idea what to expect, I only had the spare slot for the Shadow Lugia. After I snagged that, I went into the battle, wanting to catch all of Greevil's shadow pokemon. So, I did exactly that, I had the most bulky pokemon I could get. I think I had Umbreon, and maybe Marowak, but I can't remember the others. But I had Shadow Lugia. So yeah, I just went in with a ridiculous amount of Revives, and that's all I used. And I caught all of his shadow pokemon in that battle. So, that's my strategy.
