I got my Silver in on Wed, and any free time I've had has been playing. This game is amazing so far. So I'm really taking my time with the game, so in the 2 days that I've had this game, I haven't beat it yet. You'll see where I am. I also do gym battles anime-style (2v2; 3v3; etc). I started doing it this way in one of my playthroughs of RSE, and I find it's more fun. Because this is in Japanese, I use nicknames so that I know if any NPC's are referring to my Pokemon.
- I chose the boy, and I named him Jason. My starter is Cyndaquil. I SR'd until I decided to go with a Mild one. Named him Quill.
- Did the first quest, and then I fought the red-haired kid who I named Paul *cough.*
- After getting my first set of Pokeballs I went and captured a Hoot Hoot named Owl, a Sentret named HMs, another Hoot Hoot, and a Geodude named Smash.
- The second Hoot Hoot was traded to Pearl for a Swinub egg I had prepared.
- I trained Quill and HMs until the egg hatched. Named the Swinub Swine. I trained that until it learned Powder Snow, all the while challenging Sprout Tower.
- Next I challenged the gym. Swine vs Pidgey; Quill vs Pidgeotto - won that one
- Collected my egg and some other things, and I went south.
- I caught a Wooper named Syah and a Mareep I forgot to nickname because I wasn't sure I was keeping it. Wooper has Water Absorb. Swine is Brave, BTW, because I intend to use Avalanche. Mareep is Quiet. I also caught a random Hoppip which I didn't nickname because I don't intend on using it.
- Trained my team some more in Union Cave.
- I got out on the other side, and I explored Azalea Town a bit before jumping down the (Slowpoke) Well.
- Fought and defeated the Rockets there, and I should have evolved Quill when I had the chance, but I didn't (I'm kinda dramatic when I play too).
- I turned in some Pink Apricorns to Kurt for some Love Balls (um...), because my next capture will be a Zubat from the Well. I'm shooting for Male Jolly.
After two days of playing, I must say this is definitely the best Pokemon game I've ever played. The music is awesome. Sound effects are amazing. They really utilized the touch screen to its fullest, which I like. My team thus far:
Quill the Cyndaquil - 14 Mild
Swine the Swinub - 13 Brave
Syah the Wooper - 11 Quirky
"Mareep" the Mareep - 13 Quiet
HMs the Sentret - 11
Smash the Geodude - 4
Goals: Capture a Male Jolly Zubat. Think of a 5-letter name for Mareep. Take on Bugsy's gym.
