Recent Happenings in My HeartGold (Part 2)

After doing some training, I defeated all the trainers along Route 30 and 31. Arrived at Violet City. Entered Sprout Tower and defeated all the sages and the Elder. Received TM70 - Flash from the Elder.I saved my game after leaving Sprout Tower and healing my Pokemon in PokeCenter.

It was time to challenge Violet Gym. This was also the first time I did not use any Pokemon that has any super effective move against Falkner. My Spearow used Fury Attack against his Pidgey, and it fainted after being hit by 5 times.

Falkner's Pidgeotto was where the challenge began. My Spearow kept spamming Leer on it, but still barely caused any damage to Pidgeotto as it used Roost. D: After Pidgeotto knocked out my Spearow by a critical hit, I had to send out Chikorita. Firstly, Chikorita used Poison Powder on Pidgeotto. Of course, Pidgeotto kept spamming Gust to Chikorita due to type advantage. Thankfully, as it was still under the effect of Leer and Poison Powder, after spamming Potion on Chikorita, and Chikorita used Tackle for few times, Pidgeotto finally fainted. Eventually, I won the first gym badge from Falkner.

After defeating Falkner, I went to PokeMart and received a Pokemon egg from Professor Elm's aid.

So Let's start this Entry off with!-

So, I'm going to drink some Red Stripe and work on that later. MMmmm.

On to my Entry!
Went Through Victory Road,
Beat my Rival with my Trio of SlowBro,Weepinbell and Magmar!
Hmmm.Found a HeartScale,TM EARTHQUAKE and TM DARK PULSE.
I'm not sure who to teach them to.
Earthquake maybe--->Gligar?
I don't feel like he'll contribute anything,But I think He's very Cool.
I like Purple Pokemon. Don't Hate.
Dark Pulse maybe to Umbreon,Unless he already learns it.
Need to do my Homework on that.
Isn't there more to see here?
I can't seem to find where else to go,,gonna go youtube it.
Eventually I'm going to have to train hard in here.
Gonna aim to have all my Pokemon to Lvl 50.
Including ones that are not really on my team, I like to call them Subs.
Mmm Mmm Mmm.

I just beat Team Rocket at the Radio Tower. It was great, I won. My Mantine beat Houndoom, and he was only at level 29!! Fuufufufuuufuu. I'm also working on getting gold leaves for my Fabular, it's going to be sick. I don't have any right now, but I'm not worried or discouraged. I really need an electric Pokemon . I have to switch my team around because it sucks. Stantler grew to level 30, he really needs a nickname. I'm going to get a Jolteon I think. I also really want to figure out some good move sets so I can double battle with Arcanine & Umbreon, because they're nicknamed after my dog & cat, and that would be awesomeee. I won't be doing this anytime soon because I promised my nephew I'd level up his **** in Pokemon Ruby. So, I'm going to drink some Red Stripe and work on that later. MMmmm.

That's no surprise about your Mantine, considering Houndoom relies on its Sp Attack, Mantine has base 140 Sp Defense, and Mantine has the type advantage.

A good moveset with Arcanine/Umbreon would be:

Arcanine: Flamethrower, Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Extremespeed/Thunder Fang

Umbreon: Dark Pulse, Moonlight, Confuse Ray, Reflect/Light Screen/Helping Hand

LX Entry 7

Since I do More than 1 Entry a day,I'm gonna start doing this-
Let's Say My morning one(Tommorow) will be ENTRY #8,while the Night entry will be Entry #8.5.
But I don't know. Who really cares.

Today I decided to train Heracross in Victory Road.
Deleted it's moves Rock Smash and Strength cause It's been a Slave for far to long. I See Potential in this Heracross but deep down inside,I know it's gonna be a Bust. I had to re-teach it Brick Break, and I need another HeartScale to teach it some Dark Move,Not sure what it was called,but it seemed useful.
Heres how it Stands.

Would love it to know Endure but HEY! I'm in the middle of training. I AM NOT gonna go do the Pokeathlon for Heartscales.
Or...Would that seem as training? hmmmm.

Anywho, I also Trained Poliwag, I think its at Lvl 30 and it's a Poliwhirl, Pretttyy good stats so far.
Also after I realised Steelix is not available in Victory Road, I went to look for one by the Safari Zone.
I think it had a 2% Appearance rate.
Well...5 minutes and I saw one.
A Female One. meh. Killed it.
5 Minutes later caught a Male one (with a Heavy ball Cause we all know, Male are Superior.
lolz. It's nature brings it Strong Attack with Decreased Defense :/ Not sure if I should be happy with that, because in the end, it still has good defense.
Gonna Train it up,
Hopefully My whole Squad will be at Lvl 45 before I challenge the Elite 4,Then I'll make my final Selections on who I'll pick.
Dam.. I got a long time till then, I think I see myself training only 2 Pokemon a Day.
We'll see how it goes :/

Still working on getting my adamant Teddiursa with Pickup. Still nothing. I did manage to get a snubbull and bred her with an Ursaring on my Diamond to have a baby Snubull with Facade, Focus Punch and Brick Break. Now Snubbull is at the daycare center to learn Crunch. On the plus side, the Teddiursa I have has a speed IV between 29 and 31. I am so glad I have a Power Anklet to pass on that IV.

Snubbull is currently at level 37...need 12 more to go. Running around collecting money with Meowth and Pay Day all the while using Pickup to get any items. Once I get my Teddiursa I'm going to EV train him and take on Clair...last badge.

I just hatched 2 random eggs in my PC. Now I'm hatching tons of torchic eggs, read about it in my sig. I called Falkner, and I'll battle him when I have enough eggs.

LX Entry 8

Trained Heracross up to Lvl 40, Gonna Stop there.
Went to the GTC just to check things out,saw someone offered a Lvl 43 Electabuzz for a Venomoth,
I had a Venonat which I had High Hopes for,I Gave it a rare candy to evolve,it learned Zen Headbutt and Turned into a Venomoth.
It's stats skyrocketed, I was really really thinking about keeping it.
I fell in love :'(
But. I traded it, maybe one day I'll train another Venonat and a Venomoth will be a part of my team now that I see their true potential.

Ugh..Still have to train ALOT in Victory Road. Not looking forward to it.
I'll give an update on my squad by days end.

OMG! no one ever comments my silly posts! thank you, lol! but srsly, houndoom kept using faint attack and it kept doing over 1/2 of mantine's hp's, so i kept having to use items and it was a vicious circle.

i'm going to try that moveset for arcanine & umbreon!

SoulSilver Journey Post 57

Let's see. Nothing really that exciting has happened to me. I'm getting ready to do my weekly Gym Leader rematches and after that I'll fight Red. I'm also, slowly but surely, filling up my Pokedex. I believe that I'm around 250, give or take a little. I'm hesitating on doing the Battle Hall because I want to finish it all at once with Garchomp and I don't want to run into a Shedinja. It would be just like with Metagross in Platinum. So I'm going to try and get a Heart Scale to reteach Fire Fang to Garchomp before I go get my next Gold Print.

SO! I made it to Blackthorn City! HURRAH! for a brief moment i really missed my poketechwatch from diamond . i don't have an ice type on my team, which has kind of been a problem for awhile, but i'm working on training my unown with hidden power ice, his name is 0101011110 & he's at level 22 . stantler remains unnicknamed because i can't seem to make it over to the name rater's house. i was battling something and stantler kept using stomp and the thing flinched three times in a row!! fufufufufuuffuuu. my meganium, fabular, snuggled up to me for the first time. & i caught like 10 gligars, i even caught a girl one in a love ball!! awwwes. <3 I HAD SUCH A PRODUCTIVE DAY.

Spoiler: Last Post

- Headed down Route 45 and defeated every trainer for some extra experience before my Gym match
- Entered the Gym, defeated every trainer with little trouble and challenged Clair
- I started with Volt who quickly took out her Gyarados with a single Thunderbolt
- Then came her Dragonair, who Ribbon defeated with a few Strength attacks, but left his health bar in the red
- She then sent out her Kingdra
- I sent out Boss who absorbed one of her Hydro Pump attacks, but then missed with Hypnosis
- Healed him with a Hyper Potion and succeeded the second time landing a Hypnosis attack which put Kingdra to sleep
- I then switched out Boss with Soul and used Curse
- With the Curse in effect and a few Shadow Balls, Kingdra was defeated
- I then sent out Boss who took care of her last Dragonair with a Hypnosis + Waterfall combo earning me my last and final badge in Johto...almost
- After the battle, I went into the Dragon's Den, defeated the few trainers in there, collected some items, passed the Dragon Masters test, was awarded my 8th Gym Badge from Clair, and received my Extremespeed Dratini who I proceeded to deposit in my PC
- I then flew to Ecruteak City and defeated all 5 Kimono Girls, I'm now headed to the Whirl Islands to capture Lugia

Went to the Whirl Islands and SR'd for a Timid Lugia, named him Whirlwind. After that, I decided to capture a Gyarados and Skarmory to make more convenient HM Slaves. I hate having to deposit most of my team just to use my pokes with HM's and Skarmory and Gyarados learn most of them while only taking up 2 slots. I then explored Mt. Mortar and got my Tyrogue. Exited Mt. Mortar, flew to Newbark, and headed East towards the pokemon league. Defeated all the trainers before Victory Road, entered Victory Road, and defeated my rival. I then decided to train all my pokes up to level 40 because I felt like they were under-leveled. I usually like my pokemon to be level 50+ before the league, but with such low level wild pokemon and no VS Seeker, I decided to take my chances with 40. Bought 30 Full Restores, 30 Full Heals, and a few Revives until I had 30 of those. I then entered and faced Will.

Started out with Soul who took out his Xatu and severely damaged his Jynx until it fell to her Psychic attack. It was no problem though because Volt took out both Jynx and Exeggutor with Shadow Ball and Xatu and Slowbro with Thunderbolt winning me the match.

Next up was Koga. Started with Bullet who defeated his Ariados and Venomoth with ease using Wing Attack. Then Volt defeated his Crobat with Thunderbolt and Soul defeated his Muk with a Hypnosis + Dream Eater combo. His final pokemon was Forretress who I defeated using a few Wing Attacks from Bullet.

Entered the next room and challenged Bruno. Started with Bullet who took care of the Hitmons with Wing Attack, Switched to Garden to beat Onix, and Soul beat his Machamp with a Hypnosis + Dream Eater combo.

Moved on to the next room and challenged Karen. Started with Bullet who OHKO'd her Umbreon with X-Scissor. Vileplume was taken out by Soul, Gengar and Murkrow were taken out by Volt, and Boss defetaed her Houndoom with Waterfall.

Then came Lance, my toughest battle so far. Started out with Volt who OHKO'd Gyarados with Thunderbolt. Bullet took out his Aerodactyl with Metal Claw while Volt and Boss were both used to take out his Charizard. For his Dragonites, I pretty much used the same strategy to defeat all of them, Hypnosis + Curse + Stall = Win. A lot of Full Restores and Revives were used in this match.

After winning, I went to Prof. Elm's lab for the Fast Ship ticket and saved. I'm now headed to Kanto.

So, I obtained Heart Gold last night for my birthday! Anyone, I decided to start right away, but since I have no way to transfer things over from Platinum, I'm going to have to wait until my friend lets me borrow his DS. (I've got the Events to transfer! =P)

So, I decided to start off with Chickorita because I started with one on my gold version. I did the entire story at the beginning. After realizing I'd have a hard time with Falkner, I decided to get a Mareep, but after catching one, I realized I could have just download a PBR Pikachu over. So I did. I'm currently in Goldenrod with my team:

Continuing from last time...

Surfed down to Cianwood and defeated Chuck. Not terrible hard with Stubwing up in front. Storm Badge get!

Returned to Olivine and took on Jasmine, the world's easiest Gym Leader. Mineral Badge get!

Completed the next Rocket event. Easy to start since I'd already been to Mahogany (went there for Fog Badge training). I caught the Gyarados at the Lake of Rage, so now I have the highly-desired Exp Share, which I started using immediately.

Pryce was not an easy Gym leader. He gave Rivera and Leafinator a run for their money, but I won in the end. Glacier Badge get!

Ice Path, then to Route 45-46 for more training. Took on Clair when my Pokemon had reached Level 35. Wasn't easy, but Rising Badge get!

Kimono Girls... Vaporeon was the hardest to beat, and Flareon wasn't too shabby either. But I beat them on my first try, then went to Bell Tower and captured Ho-Oh.

Currently training in front of Victory Road to prepare for the Elite Four. My entire team is now at level 40. Here's the list again:

After having a lengthy absence from playing, I went back into SS earlier on today. Did a couple of the kanto gyms and started thinking about my future party. I want it to be made up of members from all 3 of my games, so I drew up a list and worked out which ones to put in. In order to stop it being full of Diamond members, I decided that I would catch a Staryu on SS, raise it up and use it, rather than transfer my Dia Starmie.

Now, my Starmie has served me well in the past. Timid, nature, mischievous trait, 31 in Sp.Atk and 24 in Spd. Other IV's are nothing special, but this thing has won me so many battles in the tower that I don't care. I knew that the chances of me catching a better Staryu in SS were slim, but I decided to go for it anyway. Went to Cianwood, with my synchronizer and specialist catching Smeargle in tow, and fished.

Caught about 15 overall, and once I had sorted out those that were not Timid and didn't have Natural Cure, I was left with about 4. 1 of them was mischievous, and showed the highest Sp.Atk and second highest speed out of the lot, so I decided to go with that one.

I then ran it through an IV calc, just out of interest, and the results were pretty surprising.

According to the calcs, and I did several different ones, the IV's are pretty much exactly the same as my old Starmie. I gave it several rare candies, and did it again, with the same results.

So yeah, I caught a Staryu that has the exact same IV's as one I caught a year and a half ago. Can't decide whether it's spooky or awesome, but suffice to say, it's becoming a part of my core team.

Wow, I haven't posted here in forever. x.x

Recently I've been looking for the three legendary dogs. Mainly Raikou and Entei, considering I am still saving my Master Ball for Suicune. <3 I caught Ho-Oh with an Ultra Ball (?) and dear lord was it hard. xD
So now I'm stuck trying to get an Umbreon which I am going to give a moveset I found on Smogon that contains Baton Pass and Mean Look so I can catch Raikou or Entei. :3 It's going to take a while. I migh as well try to catch them using my Golbat with Mean Look and hope for the best.
I am taking notes (I'm that much of a nerd) for a future team. xD
