This is it, folks. The ultimate Twilight Princess thread and as resident Zelda nut, I figured I should be in charge. Because from here-on in, there's gonna be a very large amount of Twilight Princess information and this thread will be documenting it all. Every item, every location, every detail. And when it does come out on November 19th/December 8th then it's up to you guys too. Post your progress throughout the game! This is it, the one-stop place for all your Zelda needs...

Mind you, there's obviously gonna be major SPOILERS!!! ahead.

Err... that thread's one set piece of information. This thread is a culmination of everything. Could you actually read the thread before you make such judgements? (Sorry if I'm sounding ratty.)

[*]The game begins with Link as a wrangler. He tends to flocks of goats and already has his very own trusted steed. He lives in the Ordon Village and is a well-known and popular local.
[*]Link is sent on his way to Hyrule to deliver a sword and shield but disaster strikes and two of his friends, Colin and Ilia, get kidnapped by a group of moblins.
[*]At exactly the same time, the mysterious Twilight Realm appears and sucks Link into it. Here, he transforms into a wolf and eventually wakes up chained-up in the ruins of Hyrule Castle.

The video I watched from IGN had Link go into the forest to follow Colin (missed the reason why he had run off into there), he is stopped by some kids at the entrance and you end up showing them how to use a sword, this also being the part that shows the player aswell.

Link then goes into the forest and follows Colin to a beach thing, where Ilia is standing, one thing leads to another and the moblins burst through a gate, and Ilia is shot with an arrow (presumably dead, since later videos have the moblin king with Colin tied to a stick he carries, and Ilia is seen nowhere). Link is knocked out, and floats in the water just out of sight, and the moblins take Colin.

Link wakes up, Colins gone, he follows and finds the big black crack that leads to what I assume would be the Twilight realm.

Then there was a massive gap in the videos I saw, the next one showing Link on Epona (the horse) fighting the moblin leader on a boar. Link then plays chicken/jousts with the moblin leader on a bridge, this being the scene where Colin is shown tied to a big stick.

I can't really put these details as official YET as they were just a demo. They'll almost definitely be there but, y'know... a small chance they won't. I'm not sure what's inbetween rescuing Colin and the first dungeon so I can't put anything about it...

It's not a culmination of everything. Some pieces of information on the game mentioned in that thread aren't mentioned here, like the thing about the two types of clawshot and three types of bombs.

Yeah, but do you understand how the two threads are completely different? And it's not known what the three types of bombs will be so how can I put them and the clawshot can be used in two different ways rather than there are two types of clawshot.

Sorry, it never occurred to me that this thread would become a culmination of information... It just kind of, turned into one.

Now, I've got some big major info but I'm not sure where it fits into the actual storyline so I'm just spoiler tagging it here for now:

[spoil]- The third dungeon is a Water Temple and is under Lake Hylia.
- Zora's Domain is still frozen over like it was at the end of Ocarina of Time but this Link will be able to unfreeze it.
- There are three Shadow Links and they all look set to take a key part in the storyline.
- Ilia cannot remember her past.
- Link has a prophetic vision.
- Dekus are confirmed to return.
- (RUMOUR) The Twilight Realm is actually vanquished at the 3rd dungeon but there is a massive plot twist.
- Link gets Zora Armour which makes him look completely different. It's not just a different coloured tunic a la Ocarina of Time.
- It's not the Ocarina of Time, it's not the Wind Baton... in this game it's something far more down to nature. As a Wolf, Link can howl tunes to magical affects.[/spoil]

i wouldn't of thought that most of hyrule like death mountain would come back,
especially with temples like the ones in ocarina of time,
maybe there will be a shadow temple too...

Man.. I wish the Gamecube version was out already. I really don't want the Wii version because I fear I will be struggling with the controls half the time and that will make it more difficult.

I wonder if there will be a way to transform into a wolf on command.

Looks to me like all the temples from Ocarina are back in some form. I hope that doesn't mean the shadow temple is back. Horrible dungeon.

Does anyone know where this takes place. As far as I figure First was Ocarina, then came Major's mask during Ocarina. Then a thousand years or so was Windwaker. When did Twilight princess take place?
