Keane that happened to me once with Zapdos on SS... I still haven't reclaimed it because the sheer level of bummed-outness I was at. I shed a bad*** tear, out in my tough face, and left the power plant for a long sit down with myself. Maybe one day... Good luck reclaiming it though!

After Double hunting for 4 hours that is 1068 resets! THIS BABY FINALLY SHINED! ;w; JUST OMFG i have waited too long for this little shiny baby, the grand total of hours and resets put into this was 16668 resets and 134 hours! hes utterly worth it now i can start my adventure exactly how i wanted to, now onwards to adventure! Oh and Community hunt Complete!

Well, this occurred in the early hours of this morning, just after Brooke of the ShinyTwins finished an epic rant about why she only hunts full odds (and 1/4,096 odds in 6th gen), and missed out on being a birthday shiny by 1 3/4 hours. But yay, first stream shiny, so big shoutout to Brooke of the ShinyTwins (BrookeViolet on here )!

Thank you guys, and gratz with your newly captured shinies. I think that after i beat my leaf green, ill start to search for a new shiny zapdos (because previously i got Impish nature, which is kinda sux for him) or maybe ill try to get shiny lapras, he is such a cuttie ^^

Right, so I am getting AS for Christmas, and I was wondering whether it would be possible for me to SR the Latias I would get in the story? Also, would it be very tedious (e.g. massive conversations to go through before the battle)? Thanks!

Yes, it is possible. It is somewhat tedious, as you have to save more or less before/just afrer you enter the grotto where it's located, have a sizable scene before it joins you (including a battle), and a scene after before you can check if it's shiny or not. I started SR-ing for Latios on my OR, and quite quickly got tired of being unable to progress with the game. But if you're fine with not continuing with the game for a while, it's kinda more entertaining than regular SRs, since you have other things to do rather than perpetual shiny-checking and restarting.

As for me, long time no see everyone! My age-old Woobat hunt was placed on hold, due to both running out of box space in X (and having no access to Pokebank with my current internet), and ORAS arriving. Currently attempting to chain fish for a shiny Feebas. Had an unsuccessful day yesterday as I forgot my Lileep had suction cups, so kept getting broken chains, and haven't had any success this morning. Hopefully a purple fish will pop up soon though!

Congratulations to all on their new shinies! Especially those exciting new Reshirams and Zekroms!

You can argue all you want with me, I think trips at grandma's are the best way to hunt shinies! The hour-long car trip twice a day as well as the time not doing anything there is so helpful!

About 15 hours deep into my Cresselia hunt, and since I do about 1,5 SRs per minute, then that makes around 1350 SRs (and I'm pretty sure it's more than that; I was really concentrated yesterday). Already ? Time flies so fast! I didn't even see those go! Hoping to get this hunt done with soon enough, though. I've got so many things to do; I even prepared myself for my Buneary MM hunt in Diamond (which I'm excited for a lot).

... plus, I really need something comforting right now... My dog died this morning... She had a sort of heart tumor or something... Can't really tell right now; my mother was too broken to speak clearly... I don't like when mom cries. And it's difficult not to cry. I have this big... ball in my throat since like 2 AM...
And at the beginning of the week I lost my precious cat, too! It's starting to be hard on the heart. I just need something to get my mind off of this... And I think a shiny gives a lot of hope. It did, not even a year ago, when I reclaimed my shiny Kyogre after my dear Cosmo died.

BUT, why dont you ask your friends if any of them have the Eon ticket? With the ticket, you can go to the island later in the game to capture the other Lati, without any cutscenes and such. Much less tedious.

OK thanks, I have not looked into the plot (didn't want to spoil it too much), so I didn't know the chain of events. I live in the middle of nowhere, so I will most likely never get the Eon Ticket, hence why I want to do it this way. Aw, I'm so sorry about your dog and cat. Losing pets is really hard, I can't imagine losing two in a week. I wish you lots of luck with your hunts, getting something you've been wanting for a while does help a bit. Maybe you could consider hunting for a shiny to make after your pets as well? I found that helped when my dog died.

I've paused my Eevee and Shellder hunts for now to work on my Dex. Going for that shiny charm to make this a little faster!

Did more chaining for the absol using the dexnav.
I started with 1 search level, went to 125 yesterday (where i had no pokeballz to catch the shiny)
and now i am at 315 but still no sparkle....

Decided to wait till I got the Eon Ticket before I went after Latios, Instead just focusing on finishing the main story for now.

Evolved my Shiny Cascoon into a nice shiny Dustox. Nature is Timid and IV's are 31/20-29//20-29/0-9/10-19/0-9. Also couldn't think of a good nickname for it so just sifted through all my old trading cards and finally decided on Gale Dogra.

And blanket congrats to all new shinies since my last post.

After many hours of horde hunting, Dexnav chaining and a shiny Oddish, I finally find the shiny Roselia I've been after, makes it all worth while once you see the one you want shine.

oh yeah, they are all MM, i even managed to hatch some of them in rare pokéballs... like Envy my female Weavile, i love Sneasel and Weavile so i traded one from Johto inside a LoveBall

I'm very sorry to hear about your dog, especially after losing mine over the summer. Sounds like 2014 has been a brutal year for a lot of people I know or have met

Anyways, congrats on all the shinies!
