Picked up a shiny Venusaur from a raid. It seems like it might be sketch though. Female, square shiny, hidden ability, modest nature (not sure if that’s ideal or not), 4 perfect IVs. The one thing that gives me hope is that the raid actually moved forward. I encountered a shiny Noivern max raid once but was caught in a loop before it started - I assume that’s GF’s hack checking method?

There have actually been quite a few shinies I’ve gotten in raids like this that I’m not really sure about. When I put them up for trade I’m always honest about how I got them though....not sure if the raid itself was legit (the OT isn’t a .TV as far as I know), but I caught it legitimately.

Ah. Might be ok, but Modest is a bit suspect. That said, it should be ok to keep it. Were the rewards you got with it, the normal ones, meaning nothing outlandish?

To the best of my knowledge there weren’t any crazy rewards with it.

A quick and easy hunt! I have just hatched the 4th member of my Y BQ.

Shiny Noibat hatched on the 507th egg! I always allow myself one Masuda Method hunt on each BQ in order to get a specific shiny. I decided to go for Noibat because I always wanted to use one, its shiny is great and the only way to find Noibat otherwise would be a 20% soft reset hunt. I'm very glad I did!
Noibat is...... male, again. I'm so unlucky with getting female shinies, even with my Pokémon with a 50/50 gender ratio. Nature is Relaxed, which is pretty bad, but probably won't come into play much once he evolves. Thankfully it has Infiltrator because I made sure both his parents had it. I decided not to influence the nature/IVs of this hunt either, I like to be surprised! I did choose, however, to hatch it in a Premier Ball in order to fit the nickname better.
It is SO adorable guys. That marks Y BQ#4! Next up is going to be Spritzee/Flabébé on Route 7. As for Munchlax, still going strong! And still eluding me. This is my longest hunt to date...

I had good luck with the magikarp community day on Pokemon Go: I got 7! I evolved one into Gyarados as well. They were the first I ever got in the game, so it was pretty awesome.

Keys are Rash nature, and surprised at the fact that both of the shinies today had a mark. I mean, I do have Mark Charm but still...

So its been a long time since I posted here and with the pandemic I decided I would try to do a big challenge to myself for shiny hunting. I decided I wanted to try and get every Base stage starter as Shiny from every gen. Including Pikachu and Eevee

Took a bit of a break from hunting. Started again today and a shiny Bunnelby hatched after 937 eggs (including those before the break).
That was the last gen 6 mon I could hunt in Sword. I'm gonna focus on gen 7 now. Going to hunt the starters first since I don't have any of those shiny yet. So the first target's Rowlet.

I forgot to upload this. Yesterday I gave Ponyta a go.

It's fabulous. No Attack IV but I'll take it.

And now... I can't believe it. I got 5 Male Cute Charm Sylveons each ready to go with 120PP worth of moves to S.O.S. Salandits all the way and what do you know? 24 calls in and this bad girl pops out...

Yes, Adamant is a travesty, but I'm taking it. Might take hundres of calls for another one and no stats guarantee. Someday I might own a Switch and use a Mint on her.

Anyway, that's it. I've got all the shinies I wanted. Mega Gardevoir, Mega Charizard Y, Sylveon, Trevenant, Dragonair, Rapidash and Salazzle.

Well this is nice; I got me a shiny Roggenrola in GO. Had to take a bunch of candies to evolve it so it'll be some time before Gigalith, but worth it here
