Since I have already completed all three of Sword/Shield’s Pokedexes on Home, I was able redeem the shiny Keldeo. Phased twice on my Tapu Koko DA hunt, getting a Druddigon and Flygon (my second after evolving a Trapinch in Violet).

When I was finishing up the Pokemon Home dex for Kitakami, I ran into a shiny Koffing and a shiny Sudowoodo the same day.

A week ago, I encountered a shiny Vanillite in a horde in X while level grinding Anorith. Caught him in a Timer Ball at full health. He is Timid and "quick to flee", and his Ability is Ice Body.

True fortune. In Pokemon Go I encountered a second wild Lake Guardian. Except this time, the Uxie was shiny. Used the Master Ball for this one; this is probably my luckiest encounter yet. On an additional note, while this thread is mainly about reporting shinies, I feel it could also be used to discuss the subject of shiny Pokemon in general. For example, what shiny may be released following the completion of the Z-A dex, given the recent decision to release unreleased shinies by completing game's whole dexes (I know shiny Manaphy existed beforehand, but the fact it was obtainable in the first place was a programming error)

I generally egg breed my target mon. As for wild hunting, it's pretty much random encounters. I try to target when I can tho.

Well my most common right now is when there's a specific event like the one at the moment in scarlet and violet which causes causes Mass Outbreaks of Charcadet in Paldea, Vulpix in Kitakami and Numel in the Blueberry Academy you can get shinies for those specific pokemon fairly easy via that and the automatic battling. But otherwise standard methods would apply (like egg hunting etc)

I have felt like saving my sandwich making for those outbreaks. Personally in Scarlet and Violet I want to focus on hunting the new generation's shinies because I obviously can't do that in previous games

I've forgotten how frustrating shiny hunting in the main games can be. I'm 830 KO's and counting for a male shiny Wobbuffet in Pokemon Sword, haven't gotten either gender yet. At least it's helping me fill my pokedex. I'm worried how things will work out filling it with some pokemon still unavailable in Pokemon Go like Eiscue and Type Null. If I don't have a Type Null in the Sun and Moon games I'm going to have to wait for Pokemon Go to release them. Who knows when that will happen.

I habe managed to complete the requirements for the shiny Meloetta HOME challenge, and I've decided I will use it as my final team mate for as I face against the Violet Blueberry League. Now, if only I could figure out how to win against any of them. Even with a Lv 80 team they give some serious hands, but I also want to make sure there is still a challenge which is why I want to avoid overlevelling too much.

I am curious as to what the reward for Z-A will be. Excluding LGPE, every other Dex releases a shiny that was currently impossible to obtain in any way. Complete SwSh's dexes? Keldeo is released Complete SV's dexes? Meloetta (note that both of these were made unlimited encounters in the games' DLC). Complete BDSP? Manaphy. Which while technically available as a shiny before, that's only due to an oversight. The egg you got from Ranger was supposed to be shiny-locked, however an exploit popped up where you could pick the lock by moving it to a different save file. So this is the first intentionally available shiny Manaphy. Complete PLA? Enamorus, which isn't a mythical but since all the other legendaries and mythicals present in those games (excluding Manaphy as mentioned) have had their shiny released, it was kind of the only option

As such, I doubt Diancie will be the reward for completing the Z-A Dex, since it a shiny Diancie was released in a limited time event in the past. Rather, it will be either Hoopa and Volcanian that I think will get their shiny released for a reward in completing the Z-A Dex. And if I had to guess, I would say the former as it's what is getting the focus of a DLC. All that means is that Victini remains the earliest mon in the Pokedex to have its shiny completely unavailable. Maybe it'll have to wait until the Unova game I feel they will make in Gen 10

So, in preperation for the eventual Drayton challenge I had been levelling up Terrarrium-caught mon in Area Zero. On my last lap I ended up encountering an Iron Moth with its paint job incomplete which was a nice surprise. At some point I want to stock up on Salty Herba Mysticas so I can get the shiny forms of the other future Paradox mon, this just means I have one less sandwich to make. Something similar happened in Scarlet when I had a random encounter with a shiny Scream Tail

On my way to Terapagos, I obtained my first random encounter shiny in an Espathra close to the bottom of Area Zero. After completing that I have been doing some Snacksworth legendaries, which has led me to encounter a few random legendaries in finding them. Also, sandwich power has gotten me most of the shiny future Paradox mon. I am going to be levelling up my random shinies to Lv 75 in the Terrarium, in hopes I encounter another random one
