I caught my last shiny while completing Legends Arceus before starting Legends Z-A. Completely random and unexpected.

I got a shiny Spinarak in Pokemon go on October 22nd (my late father's birthday). I took it as a sign of him watching over me. Dad always liked spiders. I remember one time, I was 5 or 6 and I stopped my brother from killing a spider because "he has a family!" The spider in question was a daddy long legs. I thought the name was literal

Yes, a general factoid list on the front page, now how many noobs will ignore and still post the same questions over and over? Got to 1400 encounters in my nature preserve/victory road hunt. Though i did get black ops II, which will dominate my gaming for the foreseeable future, so i might only do 100-200 encounters a day for a couple weeks

Haha, true — even with a factoid list on the front page, some newcomers will still end up asking the same questions. Nice progress on your nature preserve/Victory Road hunt though! Hitting 1400 encounters is solid work. And once a game like Black Ops II takes over, shiny hunting naturally slows down, so even 100–200 encounters a day is still good progress.

By the way, I was also testing how links format in posts using a random phrase like fire alarm certificate Enfield (I’ll add my link there). Just checking if the forum accepts it properly.

A few days ago, I encountered a shiny Wingull in X on Route 12 while EV training Clauncher. Caught her in a Net Ball at full health. She is Bold and "highly curious".

Been using mass outbreaks to find shiny Pokemon, though I haven't used any sandwiches for somewhat of a challenge. My most recent capture, which earned one of my Master Balls, was Minior. I wish that the shell form of Minior had a pallette change. Like maybe a gray appearance like how a lot of asteroids looks like in space

Finally got a shiny Rockruff. Resorted to sandwich hunting tho, since I was playing on Scarlet version, via a library rental. Ended up naming him Shadow. Gonna evolve it into a Lycanrock.

I had a lot of luck with shinies this week with the year in review Community Day and general gameplay. I finally got my first Dynamax shiny with Inkay (my first shiny Inkay ever too), I finally got the last of the Paldea starters, Quaxly, and another shiny legendary in Heatran. Now Torchic is the only remaining released starter I have yet to get as a shiny in the game. Hopefully I get it before I get all the Galarian starters.

Finally got the Hyper Space Zone with Galarian Farfetch'd and a 3 sparkle Fighting/ 3 alpha. Bad news, Medicham took the front door in a sewer map (Got me an Alpha though) but I found the spot with four of them ducks and got the reset/ respawn thing set up.

He and Galarian Stunfisk are the last shinies I need in Z-A, with the rest being Salpha hunts and prep work for the Home Dex completion reward.

I've spent weeks upon weeks upon weeks upon weeks running around the Wild Area in Pokemon Sword looking for a shiny male Wobbuffet, trying to find every Wobbuffet on fire I could, then just running into every pokemon on fire I found because it was taking forever and I was getting sick of it.

So finally I get a Christmas Eve present... a shiny Palpitoad.

LOL, I'll take it, I'm so done. I'll go back when I get the shiny charm.

Finally got my shiny Dalek after all these years! LOL That's how I think of Omanyte and Omastar anyway (of course the mutated body in the Dalek casing). Got one in a Dynamax raid in Pokemon Go this morning. I may name him Dalek Sek later.

Some of my shinies in Z-A were Pokemon I used in my playthrough (or their pre-evolutions) consisting of three Drilbur, two Roserade, Kirlia and Tynamo. Thanks to someone discovering a semi-AFK of shiny hunting Tynamo in Violet, caught a second shiny Tynamo in a Friend Ball (the one from Z-A is a Dive Ball). Would not have bothered otherwise, some aspects of Violet makes shiny Tynamo or Eeletrik a nightmare (Eelektross is only a non-fixed encounter at the Terarium).
