Now at 200 SRs for snorlax in my Y. I'm not expecting to get it anytime soon but who knows what could happen. Congrats on the shiny hawlucha City it really sucks it didn't get the right nature =\. So, this is my first MM hunt and I was getting bored and wanted to give up (after around 180 eggs I think?). Was hatching my second out of the 3 boxes of eggs I prepared, pencil stuck under the analog stick so it was just an auto-ride around Lumiose, me reading some comics on the Internet. I saw the first egg of the batch wanting to hatch, so pressed A and continued on to read the comic, and then looked at the screen... a SHINY HONEDGE. GOD I SPAZZED.

Male, Luxury Ball, Brave, 31/31/31/x/31/0 Wish it had Special Attack maxed as well, as both parents did, but oh well, it's wonderful anyway! So beautiful!

Status update. 1565 eggs for Torchic. 810 of these eggs are in Y at this point, and I'm now looking at my longest MM hunt so far. Let's hope it doesn't get too long, though. I started this hunt back on September 20th, if I'm not mistaken, so it's been awhile since I've begun. There's been things going on in between, but I'd still like to see this end sooner than later, especially with all this luck going around. Good luck everyone!

I'm about tied with you on eggs. This quest for a shiny vulpix I'm on is taking a painfully long time. I'm hoping my hunt doesn't turn into one of those horror stories I've heard of people hatching 4,000+ eggs with no luck. Seems when they were handing out luck I missed it, I certainly hope I can find one soon. My fiance seems to be magic and has gotten five shinies now, also using the masuda method like I am, but he hatches a shiny generally between 20-100 eggs, I've almost reached 1,600 and nothing -_-

I recently got a shiny Mareep in Gen. 6, via Masuda Method. Took me over 750 eggs, almost 780. He's now a Modest Ampharos, and I named him Tesla! I'm now on my first ever Chaining Shiny hunt, for a shiny Eevee, so I can get a shiny Sylveon. ^^

Don't give up! My shiny Heracross MM hunt back on B/W hit 1991 eggs before she hatched. I had invested over a month into it, and over 100 hours of gametime. You'll get that gorgeous Vulpix soon!

Not sure if I should mention this considering the last few posts but.....last night I reached 3000 eggs....no shiny. Hopefully you guys (gustavo and taylor) will think 'at least my hunt hasn't gone that far!' rather than 'oh damn it's gonna last forever'.

As promised, having reached 3000 eggs I'm taking a break and trying to fill up my pokedex a little bit. I was kind of hoping I might run into a random shiny whilst levelling stuff up but that hasn't happened either. I will get back to my HG and White hunts eventually though.

Went to see what a third Psychic type was in a friend safari and ended up finding a shiny Munna! Heard a lot of shiny captures in the safari, has there been anything said about the odds of finding one in a safari?

Just found out a friend of mine spent 2-1/2 hours chain fishing last night without losing his streak and never found a shiny. He checked with the guy just now and had a chain of 494! WOW!

I got up to 115 last night while I was just kind of messing around and didn't see a shiny, but almost 500? I don't know how he held out even half that long! Luck must just not be on his side, I guess. o_o

To add to the high fishing-chain observations, all my shinies have been caught in under 100, with the highest shiny at 76. I have had 10 or more chains over 100, and never got a shiny from them. Just last night, I broke my record of 254, and never got a shiny.

I would reset the chain when you get to 100.

that wont be a good idea since the chance increases of getting a shiny with each hooked pokemon so resseting would be a waste

Wonder who my next shiny hunt will be. Woke up on Tuesday and hatched my first egg and it was a shiny Honedge. Latter that day I got sick with pneumonia so I never hunted for anyone, but now that I'm feeling better I am ready to hunt. Might go after Tyrunt or Amuara via MM

Nothing shiny for me yet. I'm at 310 MMs in Y, 3420 REs for BQ#4 in HG, and 2250 REs for BQ#1 in X. I'm really hopeing that something might shine soon, but who knows. I just don't want either of my BQs to take as long as my hunt for Caterpie which went up to 20k REs. Congrats to the recent shinies and good luck to all ongoing hunts.
