Only ~50 eggs later I get my shiny Absol. It's a male... would have preferred a female, but it's alright. It has Super Luck, Outstanding stats with 4 maxed IVs (HP, ATK, DEF, SPE) and Play Rough as its egg move.

Hey quick question for all the shiny hunters when the pokemon bank comes out are you going to transfer up all your shiny pokemon and if you get a shiny after the free trial ends for pokebank in an older pokemon game would you pay the yearly fee to transfer it

I will be transferring all my Shinies because I would love to see them in their 3D forms. I dunno about me paying for the bank though. Maybe. I guess it depends on if we can cancel the yearly payment after a while. I still have to SR some legendaries on bw2 and mewtwo on hgss and will want to Sr for them.

As for my current hunts, still working on my Y BQ on Route 14 and the abra/espurr friend safari. Hoping to get my next BQ shiny before baby comes!

i dont remember when i was here last, so i dont remember what Pokes i showed (unless it was the Skorupi) so here we go:

I decided to attempt chain fishing for the first time so i had to go find a Suction Cups Inkay (which took about 10 Inkay before i got the right one) and after 15 encounters, i get this guy:

then i was traveling through Friend Safari's seeing what i had. i went through one of mine who was a ground type, saw the Nincada and Trapinch and moved on, not realizing there was a third Poke in the Safari. so i went back in, and the first time the Poke showed:

right now, im attempting my first/second ever MM (my first actually being a stopped Magikarp in White at 95 eggs) with Gible. i had this thing a while back that i wanted to do a full party of all six dragons from all 6 gens on a game run (and here i keep thinking Tyranitar is a Dragon). i currently have two boxes of FailGibles

Lately I'm just running around aimlessly in some friend safaris.
I really like the FS, but I have a few issues with them.
I can't get the last poke because I'm not online when everyone else is. (and I leave the thing online as long as I'm in the house)
The names of the FS owners don't match the FC names, so I can't even contact people to meet up >.<
I wish they had more species available instead of doubling up between 2 types.
Other than that, friend safari is pretty awesome.

Today I'm in Kevin's Ghost safari (dunno who that actually is, but prolly someone here) hunting for Phantump or Shuppet.
Also working on evolving things for my dex. Gotta finish that before my friend finishes her art project so I can win our bet and earn pokemon Y

So, last night, I went into an Electric Friend Safari, armed with a Timid Synchronize Ralts and hundreds of almost every kind of Poké Ball, I was ready to hunt a Shiny Helioptile. This morning, however, I find a Shiny Manectric instead! Took lots of Ultra Balls, but I caught it! He's got a Modest nature, perfect Defense and Special Defense, and this is the really good part- Hidden Power Ice!

FINALLY hatched a shiny Charmander after 'only' 2305 eggs. This lovely starter is Timid and has perfect IVs in HP, Attack, Defense, Sp.Attack and Sp. Defense. Also knows the egg move Dragon Pulse

After seeing everyone and their shiny Pokemon encounters in the friend safari, I was determined to find one too... after several hours a day, I just gave up. Right as I was leaving one of my friend safaris, I encountered a shiny Spiritomb!

@Cpchris, have you considered hunting in the National Park(Bug Catching Contest). There's a whole host of nice(subjective opinion of course) Shiny Pokemon in there.

To be honest, I kind of disregarded it since I know next to nothing about it All I really knew was that Scyther is in there, and Scizor is a dream shiny…But looking at the pokemon there, there aren’t really many that I’d like, except for Scyther and Venonat (Butterfree is mostly just a back-up target). Thanks for the suggestion though, since I otherwise wouldn’t have even bothered to see what was there

Yay!!! Shiny Gastly!

I had just started hunting and on the 44th RE, I look down from the youtube video I was watching and see this awesome blue Gastly on my screen, followed by some sparkles! I couldn’t even believe what I was seeing, after just 3,244 REs

It’s female, and sadly, she has an Adamant nature ;_; I’m leaving her as a Gastly though, so I’m not really sure if that matters that much. She’s Impetuous and silly. IVs don’t seem too great, but again, probably doesn’t matter too much since she’s staying as a Gastly.

Still probably going to EV train her though…Not sure if I should do Def/Sp. Def so she can last a bit longer in any battles as a first stage evo, or if I should go with Sp. Atk and Speed to really boost her good stats. Thinking I might go with the former since I’d rather not have her dying in one hit in any battles she’s in…

So Platinum Badge Quest shiny #6 is complete! As for what I’ll hunt for next…Not completely sure yet :x I know I do want a shiny Ponyta and Roserade eventually though, so perhaps I’ll try for one of them…

Just found another shiny abra in the friend safari. It has a terrible nature too just like the other one (+atk, -spd) but it is better than the Adamant one I got the other day. Now to try a different safari.

Is the best way to do it to catch a Friend Safari Ditto with 2 perfect IVs in the stats you want, pass them down one-by-one with the Power Items, and then hatch eggs until you get randomly-generated 31s in the stats you don't have, and then use the Destiny Knot? Sorry if that was hard to follow :/

Catch 2 of the same Pokémon (or 1 Ditto) with maxed IVs in different stats:
Pokémon1: 31 - 31 - xx - xx - xx - xx
Pokémon2: xx - xx - 31 - xx - xx - 31
Breed them with Destiny Knot until you get one with 3 or 4 maxed IVs. Shouldn't take long to do so. Then replace one of the parents with the child, and repeat until you get babies with 4+ maxed IVs.

Congratz everyone on their shinies, there's a lot of them since I posted haha, but a nice mix of 'em ^^

Been breeding Gligars for my team that I'm going to have alongside my boyfriend's team (for mixed battles) and I really want a shiny one. Finaly got a good Immunity Female (31 IV's in everything but Sp.att + Speed) to breed with my Japanese one (31 in everything but Att + Sp.Att), now I just need to clean my boxes from random gligars before I start my MM hunt for an adorable Blue bat with hopefully good IVs <3

Definitely. I want to have all my shinies with me on the same game, so if I find a shiny in an older game after the trial ends, I'm paying that fee. I'd pay for that fee regardless, so I'm not wasting $5 there either way.

In regards to the Oval Charm, it most definitely does make a difference. From my experience in both Black 2 and Y, I find myself getting eggs much faster than I can ever hatch them. There's just no way for me to hatch them before I get 5 eggs with me, unless I'm unlucky. Seeing as the chance of an egg spawning is affected by step taken and not time, it might not seem like it makes as much of a difference, but I say does, without a doubt, improve the chances of an egg appearing.

Also, following on what I said yesterday, I've decided after to hunt in Route 10 via hordes. Hoping for a Yanma, as I have a Modest sync in the front, but anything would be awesome. I'm also starting a hunt for Ho-oh with an Adamant sync at the front, so I have that to do as well. And for any others from the U.S., I wasn't thinking of Thanksgiving when I chose this hunt.

YES!!!! BQ#2 Complete and Community Hunt Complete #2. I got shiny Chespin in 445 MMs in X, the best part is that it is also a female. I got really lucky with this little girl. She is now a Quilladin and I'm moving forward towards gym 2. BQ #3 will be a HH hunt in route 10, my main target is Houndour but either of the other would be fine. Now I can go back to my MM in Y, but I'm going to finish my RE hunt first. Congrats to the recent shinies and good luck to all ongoing hunts.

Wow, this is the first time I've got 3 shinies within a few day's time, my luckiest shiny week ever! Just a short time ago, a shiny Klefki appeared on my Pokemon X, within a horde. I've been sweet scenting the hordes on Route 16 for around 9 game hours.

She is exactly what I was looking for, a female Klefki I had to name her Locket, being a female lock/key pokemon. I'm so happy I got her, she is an amazing looking shiny and pokemon. She is also my first shiny Fairy Pokemon.

Up to the last shiny of my Badge Quest and that will complete my first finished Badge Quest. Next up will be a hunt on either Route 17 or in Frost Cavern, congrats to everyone on the new shinies and good luck to those still hunting.

congrats on your klefki I have one as well i mm'd him, he a really cool shiny you should be proud and shiny klefki was my first fairy shiny too ^_^ and congrats to everyone that got there shinies as well i will be hunting a new klefki soon and also soon shiny flabebe
