Before I start on my epic shiny weekend here is a pic of my sunflora that I caught on Friday as a little sunkern:

Now on to my weekend. As my exams are coming up I thought Id have a big shiny hunting weekend before I get down to studying (I wish I had the enthusiasm for revision like I do for shiny hunting lol) so I start up my 3 consoles

First was a shiny cubchoo in a horde encounter

And then after just 1563 encounters in route 5 on my black2 on sunday a shiny gothita appeared

And just 252 encounters later a shiny mincinno in the same route

and then, later in the evening, within the space of an hour I caught three in horde encounters! A second shiny cubchoo (pics to follow when its a beartic), a shiny wingull (now a pelipper) and a zubat

So 6 shinies in two days, Im quite pleased with the haul. On the other hand, im at 700 eggs for Pichu and nothing yet but I cant have everything I suppose

Why does everything you show us Say "Apparently" ?? I've checked everything I own. And only my transfer and Event Pokemon For X/Y show Apparently.

Seems super weird.....

My legit Mewtwo that I caught in X says "Level Met: 70". There's no "Apparently". Therefore this Mewtwo is hacked; I'm assuming through PowerSave, because it isn't transferred either. If it was transferred from the Gen IV Unknown Dungeon, it would say that it traveled through space and time to reach the Kalos Region from the Kanto Region, and it doesn't.

Hacks. I still think that the birds and Mewtwo are shiny-locked until someone I trust on this thread or a reliable thread on Smogon can prove to me that they aren't.

Anyway, congrats to everyone who got a legit shiny recently, especially Kyle Clarthy on that beautiful pink Virizion! Virizion is definitely my favorite shiny of the Muskateer trio; that pink looks so good on her! I added Vullaby to my list of hunts that I'm doing, and so far I've hatched 611 MM + Shiny Charm Vullaby eggs and no shiny Vullaby. I'm basically 100 eggs over the rate of 512 right now, so hopefully that shiny is coming soon!

Most youtubers I've seen hunting on that route or on the route where you ride rhyhorn (route 9?) use sweet scent to make the encounters happen faster. There are no hordes on those route so sweet scent attracts normal single pokemon

Well I have done around 1.1k REs in Route 19, and Espurr is currently at 330 eggs. I've even been putting a good chunk of effort into Latias too. Now it's just a waiting game to see which of these hunts will shine first. Place your bets people! =p

I was really lazy with hunting again yesterday... heh, my motivation is leaving me xD Doesn't mean I'll stop, though. I'm now at 4,196 encounters on Route 32 for my second Badge Quest shiny. That's all I can really say, I guess xD I don't want to run behind on congratulations, though.

To be fair, Pokémon traded from another Gen VI game have the "Level Met: Apparently ____" message, so that alone doesn't guarantee a hack.

Speaking of Mewtwo, so as to not get too off-topic, I'm currently at 18k SRs for Mewtwo in LeafGreen. It's not too long as far as SR hunts go, I know, but I'd appreciate if it shone sooner rather than later!

Anyway, quick update, I'm now at 350 eggs hatched for Wurmple, and I already collected 150 eggs. Let's see if a purple Wurmple (lol rhyme) will hatch before I reached 500 eggs~

Good morning everyone!
Congratulations to your new shinies!

After I caught that Gogoat last night, I hunted for a short time in a fairy FS before going to sleep.

I plan on continuing my Ralts MM while continuing FS shiny hunting. I plan on possibly focusing on gen VI Pokemon. Not really sure why.

EDIT:

Well, I had like 7 straight hours outside of my apartment today (as I probably will for all the upcoming Mondays/Wednesdays), but I got to shiny hunting this morning for about 2 hours.
I continued about 2 hours ago in a FS I just recently added. It is dragon with (for now) just Fraxure and Noibat.
Now, like I said, I felt like hunting generation VI Pokemon.
And that was a good idea, seeing as I just caught a shiny Noibat.

I have been interested in finding a shiny Noibat or Noivern eventually, and now I caught one on my own.
It has 31 IVs in HP and defense.

Back to another FS I suppose now.

So I have been fishing for a shiny staryu on my X game for the past 2 days and this star just wont sparkle. I have encountered about 10 shiny claunchers (which I have caught to trade on GTS for pokedex needed pokemon) but never a silver starfish with a blue gem Well I hope the saying, good things come to those who wait is true.....

About Shinyclauncher1234s posts: I dont really believe him anymore since he claims to have caught a shiny mewtwo and a half an hour later he claims to have hatched a shiny pidove. Ofcourse this can happen but the fact Mewtwo is locked and for both pictures there is a "Apperently met" text. So untill he redeems himself with actual proof of shinies I just ignore his posts. Seems a bit rough, but everyone here that has been here for quite some time had a hard time to gather some shinies and then 1 person starts hacking and claiming all sorts of things, that really breaks up the community here. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Gratz on all the shinies, Especially Blastoisenite on the reclaim! And good luck on those still hunting!

Im really hoping that pichu shines soon as it is the only console Im allowing myself to play in short bursts until my exams are done.

Btw a little off topic but we are a little close-knit community so Im hoping you'll forgive me. Are any of you guys going to the French distribution of the pokeball Vivillon? If any of you are, is there any chance you can get me one? I am willing to offer a shiny as compensation (Im a Vivillon obsessive)

I just accidentally ran from a shiny Golett. I wasn't paying close enough attention and hit run without checking. I saw it was shiny when it was too late. This was my target for this route.

EDIT* I just found a bashful shiny Eevee! That more than makes up for Golett (who I am still trying to reclaim).

I'm finally back everyone. After a bit of a hiatus. I think the last shiny I had found here before I left was Relicanth, meaning Tynamo is my latest shiny, which is now fully evolved. Finally got around to making a shiny card with all my past shinies. I didn't include the tragic event shines, or the gift shinies.

That aside, I'm running a couple of hunts all at once. I'm currently running fossils on one of my Ys, a SR Froakie hunt on one of my Xs, and a horde hunt on my other X and Y. I've been recording myself working on them, so once I finally find one of the elusive shinies, I'll post the video.

Finally!!!!! after 2 days of CF and a dozen shiny claunchers later I caught a shiny staryu.

It has it natural cure ability aswell, which I was hoping for.

And because I traded away 11 shiny claunchers I just had to keep 1 to have the evo line of both Skrelp and Clauncher complete shiny.

Hey guys, I'm back finally with an HGSS update! After reading all the posts I've missed over the weekend I found the motivation to pick up my triple hunt. Not even ten minutes in, I found my target!

He appeared at only 479 SRs (1,437 total starters seen). I'm so happy to say that I've completed the Johto starter trio!

I believe he is Docile nature, if I'm wrong someone please correct me!

I can now move on in my japanese HG and continue my triple hunt. I'll probably play until I get surf to hunt Psyduck in both HGs, or maybe I'll get distracted and hunt something else lol. I know my goal for my HG games is to capture Shiny Ho-Oh, since that golden bird has eluded me for years now. My old HG was saved in front of it and I lost my game...

Anyways, congratz to the hunters who found a Shiny; especially Kyle on yet another Shiny legend (Virizion looks stunning!), dude I wish I had your luck! Good luck to all still hunting <3

So, after a week without getting anything, just managed to hatch this

I went on a trip over the weekend, so I had time to do some hunting on the drive there and back. Mewtwo is now at 2,400 SRs, Chimchar is at 1,100 SRs, and Raikou/Entei is at 280 total encounters. It's been awhile since my last shiny, so I'm hoping to find something soon!

Congrats on all of the recent shinies! Now that I'm back from my vacation I'll be able to congratulate everyone individually again. And good luck on all of your hunts as well!

Over the weekend i felt like hunting for shinies (mainly Frogidier and kirlia in the friend safari) . Ended up getting 2x Mawhile,1x Clefairy, , 2x Panpour, 1x Wartorle, 1x Kirlia, 1x Frogidier, 1x Clauncher and a Relicanth ^_^

Also ran away from a wartortle by accident lol

It looks like luck is getting better, Timid Nature and Trace are great, for such a small amount of eggs. IV spread is 31/31/31/26/31/31, which is amazing aside from the fact that Special Attack is the less than perfect one. But it's much better than my Spinda that got an IV of 3 in Attack, so I'll let it slide, a difference of 5 isn't going to mean much in this case. There's just one little problem, and you might have noticed by now. Despite what I'd been hoping for if you've seen my previous post awhile ago, the Ralts is Male, and since this is Timid, it won't be a Gallade. Because of this, I was hoping it would be female, out of personal preference. My initial plan was that I'd keep hatching for a female if I turned up a male shiny Ralts, but given how perfect everything else turned out, I'm not so sure anymore. I've still got 3 and a half boxes, though, so I'll have to think about it for a bit. Maybe I'll luck out and get another, but we'll see.

Been a while since I've been here, I think. Congratulations to everyone on their new shinies since my last post.

So last week I decided to MM a Minccino, because I had used one back in W2 with Skill Link and it was fantastic, and on the 44th egg I hatched one:

She's jolly with Skill Link and a spread of 31/25-26/31/31/31/31, which is pretty great though I would have preferred the 31 in special attack be in attack instead. I also ended up hatching another one on the 80th egg, but she ended up with Cute Charm so she'll be staying a Minccino.

I don't know if I'll be completing the rest of the hunt, since the only one of May's Pokemon I'm really interested in right now is Squirtle and it's still not cooperating with me. I've also gotten into reclaiming a Grimer I once had years ago from the Castelia Sewers, so that's been taking whatever shiny hunting focus and drive that I have.
