So, I'm at 600 eggs now for Flooooon, with 60 still to hatch in my most recent 14-box batch. Nothing as of yet there.

And nothing in my bird hunt either, but I hope to turn up something there soon...

Started hatching 210 Eevee eggs today that I collected over the passed few days.
I think I've hatched between 90 and 120 already, and no luck yet.

Already getting pumped for my next hunt! Charmander! and probably back to MMing
another Eevee but that Eevee will probably take forever... Since I want it to
have it's hidden ability and must have perfect IVs in at least special attack
and speed. (though I'd accept 28+ in both those stats if they end up not passing over)

The challenge before that is getting a perfect 5iv HA female in a dream ball
That'll be fun!

I made it to 6K for Torchic and 180 eggs hatched for Bulbasaur today. I will probably do another 250 SRs and 30 eggs before bed. I've also decided on which starter I'd want to start my Y Badge Quest with. Torchic and Bulbasaur still have my main focus, but I don't mind dedicating 50 SRs a day for Chespin.

BenYS, since switching out the original 5IV parent for the 6IV Female I mentioned in my last post I've gotten a couple HA Female Bulbasaur with the correct IV spread (31/x/31/31/31/31). Just PM me if you're really interested.

(Within 60 eggs I've gotten two HA Female Bulbasaurs with the ideal IV spread and THREE 6IV Bulbasaurs [All HAs, one is even Female]) RNG seems to be being really nice to me.

So I decided to just deal with the male shiny Ralts and evolved it into a Gardevoir anyway. I had just started a new MM hunt for Bronzor just yesterday, and it looks like luck is being friendier.

Just 161 eggs in, I already got myself a shiny Bronzor. IV's are a fantastic 31/31/31/31/31/16, which is exactly what I wanted, aside from a 0 in Speed. I'll gladly take 16 over 31, though, and Bronzong is so slow with a Sassy nature it'll hardly matter. Unfortunately, it hatched with Heatproof, the lesser of the two abilities, but given that the parent had Heatproof, I'm not surprised. I was hoping to replace it with a Levitate Bronzor after hatching, but this guy appeared within my last 5 eggs. That's okay, though, I've got ~1500 BP, so 200 for an Ability Capsule is no issue for me.

Audino round 5 came up empty. Elusive little slagger... I'm about to begin egg collection for round 6. Heeeeeeeere shiny shiny shiny...

I was considering tackling Victory Road in Y today (I got the last two badges yesterday), but people kept sending me out on stupid errands so I had no time. I did manage to get another 80 litwicks hatched, so I'm up to 200 now. No sparkles yet, but I am determined to get back that litwick I lost when it KOed itself in the Lost Hotel (before the Plague of Klefki began).

Still offering phione to anyone who wants one; I would happily trade one for the most common and worst-IVed pokemon in existence. Master of Murkrow and Shadowkrow have a better idea of how their IVs shake out than I do, though, since I still don't have access to the IV judge in Kiloude City

On a side note, what do people think of using an AR in order to get a certain pokemon? In my case, for example, if I wanted a shiny Growlithe, I'd have to insert Firered which I don't have (I also only have gen 4 games) would it be frowned upon if I used an AR to encounter one and then take it and MM with it? It'd just be encountered like any normal pokemon in the wild, but it does involve and AR so I don't know. There's just a lot of shinies that I'd like that require game inserts, and I don't know when my next opportunity will be to actually get myself a game that isn't from gen 4!

As long as you are literally enabling an encounter with a non-native non-legendary (such as you are) and not disrupting its stats to make it 6IV before you breed for a shiny I think its fine. I mean lets be honest, with the wifi now down, you cant trade it to anyone but yourself and you cant transfer it up as you only have gen 4 so its for your own personal use and there is realistically no other way for you to get that pokemon right now. Its not as if you are hacking the shiny itself, you're still planning to do the hatching slog and that baby shiny will be legit in every way (by the games standards) Be careful tho, AR can be a slippery slope, as I understand it has a 'make shiny' thing to which would just take all the fun out of it IMO

Other than a hoppip in a accidental horde (went into the grass by accident whilst cycling up and down past the daycare man) there is no shiny news for me... pichu is now nearly at 900 eggs so this is my longest hunt in a long time... boo.... I think ive been spoiled by shinies recently so my game is paying me back with a long hunt. Ah well, lets hope its not too far over 1000 eh?

So, I didn't get round to hunting yesterday because I was playing LoL instead... but I'm nearing the odds in my Route 32 hunt, so hopefully that'll motivate me a bit. I'm going to Expo from Friday-Sunday, which I'm super excited about, even though it means I won't have time to hunt or to congratulate everyone once I get back.

Well, I was really busy yesterday, so I did not have very much time for shiny hunting.
Because of this, I was unable to find a shiny yesterday. I shall keep searching though.

How long has it been? About 48 hours? I suppose so.
Well, it has been that long since I caught my last shiny (A Mightyena two days ago).

I have been FS hunting ever since then, and only just now did I come across my next shiny.
I was hunting in a Grass FS that included Tangela, Ivysaur, and Quilladin. (I was hunting both Ivysaur and Quilladin, but I wanted Quilladin more.)

A few minutes ago, I came across my next shiny.
A female, HA, shiny Quilladin. Exactly what I was looking for.

It has 31 IVs in HP, special defense, and speed. Not bad.

Yay, one shiny in....two days.

Wow....Six minutes after I edited this post the first time....That sure was fast.

I continued hunting a shiny Inkay, and I came across....
A second shiny Crawdaunt.
It has 31 IVs in HP and defense.

Eh, I will take it. Especially considering I just got two shinies in less than 10 minutes.

Congrats on everyone's shines once I'm done with finals I'll start congratulating everyone on there individual shinies.

I've had no luck I got around 1500+ encounters for Ivysaur in the friend safari before I got bored and I restarted my game to try and do a weird comboniation of challenges, for trainer pokemon I'm doing a nuzlocke, I'm working on completing as much of my pokedex as I can for each gym bagde and trying to do a Badge Quest all at the same time. Right now I'm about 9 hrs into a shiny hunt in Santalune Forest I haven't been really counting but I'm guessing maybe that would be around 900 or so encounters not really sure.

I thought it was about time I got here! It's been a fun ride reading through the success stories with shiny hunts and shiny hatches, there's too many pages for me to read back on and I wouldn't have expected so many pages! Anyway today I had a little time , so I decided that I wanted a shiny Growlithe with morning sun. I guesstimate around 85 eggs I finally had my sunshine I suppose a little persistence can really pay off since I was reading and hatching eggs, multitasking saves me from boredom when I hunt. So I named her Tigerlilly and she has not just 5 perfect ivs...but 6! I have been blessed Yes she's also a girl -double awesome!So she's lonely Nature and I'm thinking of making a team around her but I'm not particularly good at battles./sorry to ramble here's her evolving/ I have a box full of my shiny hatches now as I prefer to hatch to get the best poke I can get, but I have had 2 random shiny encounters in the wild *a swirlix and a noibat.

Wow, seems like a lot of people have been having some pretty good MM luck. Unfortunately for me, it seems like I'm looking at another 1k+ egg hunt. I have hatched 905 eggs for Espurr and nothing yet so far. I have also resumed my Safari Zone hunt in Soul Silver, I've been at this hunt on and off for a couple months now trying to successfully catch a shiny there. Three have fled from me but I'm still determined to see this hunt through. On Heart Gold, I have decided to start SRing for shiny Mewtwo! I usually don't care for the uber level legendaries, but I really like how shiny Mewtwo Y looks. Anyways, hopefully Espurr doesn't take too much longer, I only have a few more families to do before I'm done with my Kalos quest.

Yep, this just hatched at egg 917. Unfortunately it ended up being male and no hidden ability either, which is the exact opposite of what I wanted. IVs are 31/31/31/31/x/31 So, at least the IV spread isn't too bad. I'll definitely return to this hunt in the future for HA shiny female Espurr, but for now I'm just gonna move on to the next Kalos family. I'm thinkin' Skrelp will be next..

Luck shines on my Friend Safari since I have just found another shiny. This time it is Fraxure.

I wish it had been noibat or Druddigon since I already have a haxorus but I am not complaining. Im just gonna leave this one unevolved.



As for Cyberra's Phione's IVs. At least mine are not that special. it has perfect Speed and HP around 25ish but 0 in Sp. attack. But since I won't be using it for VGC anyway it does not matter that much, since I already have my team setup.

Well just ran into another shiny. I was down in Glitteting Cave hunting for fossils and thought 'How cool would it be to find a shiny while I'm down here' . . .

No sooner had I thought that, shiny Dwebble pops up. It's female and I figured since its evolution looks so cool I'll call her Radioactive

anyways for me, no shiny yet, have a few more skitty eggs to hatch- I collected an entire box full so after this my total will be about 90 I think

Congrats to everyone on their shinies! Definitely love seeing peoples success everyday as apposed to my own. If I don't one today, I'm just happy knowing someone did.

Update on my hunts: I've started working on multiple hunts at the same time again, after doing a couple of days with just one DS. I have a total of 6 DS', so I can do a bunch of hunts at the same time. I've got Registeel ready on my 2DS, fossils on my Blue XY, more than likely hordes for my 3DS original and Red XY, but I also have a DSi and DS Lite to hunt on. I want some opinions of what work on. Darkrai will be on one of them, so the last one is what I need opinion on.

- Kyurem
- Latios

Serris: Kyurem is something I rarely see on this forum.

As for me I decided to level up my shiny Torrent Frogadier (I'm sure there is something to do with torrent I just have to figure it out) to a Greninja by training it at Friend safari. I was secretly hoping for a shiny Ponyta to appear. In the end it's Slugma who decide to shine and boy I felt stupid because I tought the texture went missing/wrong (like the first time I encountered a shiny (I'll re-get you one day Ponyta!).)

I resumed my Shiny Elekid hunt and I've hatched almost 450 eggs in total, which is more than I usually hatch before giving up on a Shiny hunt. I also chained for a while after hatching eggs, but none of those chains yielded a Shiny encounter. I'll be busy tomorrow, so I won't have time to work on my main hunt until Saturday.
