After about 36 hours of hunting on my Pearl BQ....
SHINY SHELLOS!!!
The shiny isn't very obvious, so I'm glad this hunt is over.
It was a bit of a pain to pay such close attention all the time.

Wow, congrats to the 20 or so new Shiny owners and good luck to everyone else on their hunts. Today and part of last night, I did more REs for Shinies at Route 15. I did around 90 which is a decent attempt for now imo. I also worked on hatching more Oddish eggs for my Platinum Shiny hunt and I hatched just 17 this morning since I was running late.

Don't worry, I save before I get the eggs. I learned that years ago in Ruby when all my pokemon were consistently having the same natures over and over, haha. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing I guess! Oh yeah, and I'm going for the HA too, but at this point I wouldn't mind the regular ability.

I don't want to get too ahead of myself, but as for nickname ideas... since it'll be Impish, I'm thinking of naming it Tabaqui, after the jackal from the Jungle Book (the eastern trickster equivalent of the western red fox). I'm not sure it's very fitting for a Gallade, but I kinda like it. Not positive though.

Congrats to Shiny Lord for getting exactly what you wanted! Jrmftw, your Malamar deserves an award. Amazing luck. Congrats and good luck everybody else

I've been hunting for a Numel for around three days now in Emerald.
(Don't bring up RNG because I don't believe in that cheap stuff)

Erm yea about that....it's not cheap stuff. It's real stuff. That's kinda why people did research on it and why people abide by it. But k have fun yo. GL

So for me I hatched another 300 Nidoran Eggs again. NOTHIN. Oh well. Gonna collect 5 boxes worth this time and have some fun wonder trading them off cause wynaut

Also, thanks to all the people that said congrats to me so far. It feels great, even though I've only really recently gotten into shiny hunting. Though Foongus wasn't what I was hoping for...
Oh, well. Might start hunting in a few Friend Safaris, though I'm not sure which one...

I'll probably end up editing this with my decision, so keep on the lookout!

Well, with Soulsilver taking time to get. atm, I will be doing a Badgequest in Y. I think this will be a change of pace for me, and may teach me to be more patient. I will be starting with a hunt for a shiny Fennekin being that I wish to breed a competitive shiny froakie and chespin in the near future. Until then good luck to all on their hunts.

It's been a long time since I've done any shiny hunting, but I took the time to go back and get a shiny I've wanted for awhile. Only 431 eggs in and I've got myself a shiny Sigilyph.

Timid with Magic Guard but the IV's are 31/31/31/31/31/7, which is very unfortunate with that Speed. Sigilyph is a favorite of mine, though, so it's okay. No, this thing doesn't have Stored Power because as hilarious as it is, Stored Power Sigilyph is a bad set for anything serious. Haven't gone for any shiny since Dunsparce two months ago, so it was nice to go for a shiny. Not sure if I'll try and get anything else since I go back to school soon, but who knows?

well at 2900 SRs, 8700 starters seen, and still no shiny so yep over odds..however I prefer that over the thought that I may have accidentally SR over one..

also my technology is just hating me besides the fact of going over odds, my computer keeps freezing and not responding and also my dsi started to not let me SR and I st there for 5 minutes trying to get it to work but nope so I move it over to my 3ds a second ago and maybe I'll find it now however it looks better on the dsi and very dull on the 3ds.

I really want to find it soon as this hunt has begun to get annoying and I just want to move on

Lol, the Pokemon Tower. I remember on my most recent file of Fire Red when I first got there I stuck around searching for a Cubone. First Cubone I encountered was Shiny- AND female!

300 REs yesterday and 400 REs today. Tomorrow doesn’t leave much time for me to hunt , sadly…Work starting at 9, and then probably won’t get out until at least 9, if not 10 (it doesn’t help that a coworker I’m not fond of is there when I get there, and I’ll have to deal with him most of the day…Only 7 hours though, I can do it >.<). So I don’t even have time to hunt before work, and depending on when I get out of work at night, whether I hang out with co-workers after, or if I even feel like hunting by the time I get home, I won’t have much time…But by all means, games, surprise me with a shiny tomorrow if I hunt

So Platinum is at 3,600 REs, Black 2 is at 5,200 REs, and HeartGold is now over the odds at 8,300 REs. I also did 150 SRs on HeartGold for the Johto starters, so that hunt’s at 700 SRs.

I just finished reading the latest posts. I just want to say that even though I don't give individual congrats and I usually don't comment on other posts I find every post entertaining and this thread gives a lot of motivation c:
So yeah, I do care for your shinies. Even when I'm just lurking from the shadows.

I evolved my shiny Totodile and now he is a shiny Feraligatr.

I was going to edit my last post, even though it's now pages away, but as I said, stuff happened.

I was playing the game, beating things with my Feraligatr when I decided to go for that Shiny Gyarados. I needed Surf but I didn't want to teach HMs to my shiny. I went to catch a Wooper, and just after I did...

Yup, a completely random shiny Bellsprout. I still can't believe it... I mean, the last random 1/8192 Shiny that I found was years ago. And now I get one in the game that also has a shiny starter :'D
He got an Adamant nature, which I think is decent for a Swords Dance set. That is, once I transfer him to X&Y.
For now I'll keep playing the game with my 2 shinies c:

Congrats on all shinies since my last post, especially Aqua on his lucky streak! Pass some of that luck my way haha. As for me, I'm up to 3.6k RE's at the Desert Resort for my White BQ, and 17,100 SR's for Chimchar. Not working on Chimmy much, kinda burnt out on the hunt. I'm gathering eggs for my multi egg MM hunt on Y. I breed night slash and crush claw onto Torchic now too, yay~. I have gotten two shinies this week from trades, Charmander and Snubbull(this one was from someone called GUSTAVO xD). Anyways, good luck all~
EDIT: ARGH! So I decided to play Silver on my laptop while I gather eggs..and the first pokemon I see in the wild.. Shiny uncatchable Rattata frick. :/.

Hey guys!

Thanks for all the well wishes on my surgery, it went fine and wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I've been hunting a little bit here and there but not a lot. I finish work up next week so I've got about a week free before school starts so maybe I'll get back into hunting then.

I'm at 2,300 sr's for a johto starter and that's really the hunt I've been working on. I'm not really expecting anything anytime soon though.

I did however run into a shiny on my Y game. I started horde hunting the other week, and then paused it. I picked it back up tonight and at 140 HE's I found a shiny spinda! He's brave natured and likes to fight, which might not be the greatest nature for a spinda but I just like the way he looks.

P.P.S. This Cyndaquil is my first SR Shiny ever and I am seriously contemplating doing a Shiny Badge Quest, do you guys have any tips for a newbie of this challenge?

131 hours and still no green Grimer to be seen, I'm really running out of things to say about this hunt but I'm starting to lose motivation, I mean it's not as long as some people here are taking ( Please find your shinies soon! ), but it's really taking a toll on me and it's bad enough that I stay up all night just to get random encounters in.

Ok i have another shiny Boldore! lol but i only need Rhydon from this safari haha. I guess it was generous in my previous few safaris to give me my target shinies without going through the others multiple times so it is making up for it in this one lol. Late yesterday (or technically today as it was past midnight for me) I had added a new friend to my Friend Safari and was just going to identify all the Pokemon in that Safari before quitting for the day. But as I met the last Pokemon I was going to identify, it was more than I had expected.

I apologize for the bad quality of the pictures, especially the ones from the battle as I was tired and rather unfocused at that point. The camera movement and how much this thing likes to flutter with its wings made it even harder.

This is my third random shiny on X and my third Friend Safari shiny, but this time it is also a 6th gen Pokemon unlike the last two. So this is my first randomly encountered shiny Pokemon from 6th gen. While the odds for finding shinies in Friend Safaris aren't completely known, I should note that I have the Shiny Charm now, and I was online at the same time as the person who this Safari belongs to when I met it.
