Hello everyone,

Congratulations on all those shinies since my last post, especially Drakenokoshi with Mewtwo (he is still on my to-do list ).

I am not that lucky with my Beldum hunt. around 1800 eggs and nothing... And the hatching takes so damn long, starting to frustrate me.
Ho-Oh still pulling my strings too, but my legendaries have never been easy on me.

Not a lot to say today....I'm up to 1200 REs and counting meaning I did about 600 REs today so far! And it's only 21:30 here so the night is still young lol. I'm feeling pretty enthusiastic, especially as the numbers are going up quicker than I imagined, but I'm still a bit bored of doing just the one thing at a time and I don't really feel like watching tv tonight...so, I was thinking maybe I could start a horde hunt in X? I haven't done one before and it should go sort of quickly. Not really sure where to start yet though....I'm gonna go research possible targets but if anyone has any target suggestions or tips regarding best abilities/attacks/etc. for catching them, let me know!

@Solfatara, it's essentially a watch battery that is used in the 3rd Gen Games.

So unless you do it yourself(which would be kinda easy to do tbh, if you had the required items to get it open/replacement battery). I would only trust someone that has experience with watch repairs, as its a specialist area of repairs, so you do actually need to know what you are doing, whereas electronic repair stores are for the most part staffed by people that couldn't fix electronics unless there's a user manual that tells them how to lol.

The watch repair man in the market always sounds a bit suspect, but when you consider he repairs watches, he's by no means going to be able to afford the rent on an actual store.

Thanks for this advice, I might very well go and see if I at least can find him lol.

I did a fair bit of hunting on the train journeys, and my total count for route 35 on HG is at 3,350 REs. I also hunted a fair bit today when I got back and my SS starter hunt is at 1,450 SRs while my Solosis MM hunt is drawing near the odds at about 1200 eggs hatched now. I'm really looking forward to getting this solosis, which is the first shiny I ever really wanted to try and get and my favourite shiny overall. My hunting time will be significantly reduced after this week as uni is starting back up, so I hope to get something by the end of the week!

Thanks to everyone who congratulated me! For my future hunt I plan on getting a shiny Slurpuff but this time with the masuda method. It can turn into a real monster with belly drum, play rough, and the unburden ability. I have been breeding for ivs and natures for awhile now but I never really tried to do the masuda method. I know how to do it but I had a quick question (I know this is not the right thread but I didn't know where else to post my question). Once I breed for the hidden ability, chain breed for egg moves, get 5 ivs, and the nature I want, which items go where for each parent doing the masuda method. Do I trade for a 5iv foreign Swirlix, put the destiny knot on it, and put the everstone on the other parent? Or do I trade for a adamant nature foreign Swirlix, put everstone on it, and put destiny knot on the other parent? I know its confusing but I need help. Also good luck for those still hunting and congrats to those who found shinies.

EDIT: @ShadeHunter I thought so. I would rather get a admant foreign swirlix than getting a 5 iv foreign one. It would save me from having any hassles.

AAAA ommmgg I wasn't even expecting it to show up today! I..I just can't believe it, it's so beautiful T-T huge thanks to everyone who wished me luck for this hunt, i'm still in awe.

Shiny Mewtwo is my official 100th shiny and I'm absolutely happy that it is, well deserving of the title! ( not to mention he's amazingly Modest natured! )

Congrats to everyone who's gotten shinies since my last post and good luck to those still hunting!

DARNIT. You beat me to it. It's a wonderful shiny, it really is, but why... why can't I get it to appear?

@Domino_621 It doesn't matter. MMing is only affected by one parent being foreign from the other. The held items do not bother the MMing at all as far as I know, it only affects nature and IVs. So just keep doing your thing. That's how I got my Treecko, anyway.

Well I found three shiny Durant yesterday while horde hunting for Larvitar. I guess that makes up for having gotten no new shinies since July.

Currently hunting for a Dedenne on Route 11 with a Static lead. At the same time, I'm also MMing for Dedenne as well should it not decide to shine while doing random encounters

I don't have any shiny news.
I updated my Black BQ shiny card and started my Archen fossil SR last night but only got 40 SRs off of it because I had to do homework until it was really late, so I just took a break and slept. My White2 BQ #2 target at Virbank Complex reached 3,214 REs.

I'm glad that Virbank stopped raining... It rained for two days and it was a real hindrance to my encountering.

edit: I changed my avatar... Its still Nate but I've used the sneasel ninja avatar for so long I'm not used to other ones, haha.

I did a large amount of hunting today, and I'm now at 10,910 SRs for Chimchar. I haven't been working on my hunt as much as I'd like to lately, mainly due to homework (and the Super Smash Bros. for 3DS demo taking up a good chunk of my free time XD), but I'm hoping to make up for that this week.

¬¬ Burmy is trolling me now. Egg 1,667 hatched into my third #!*^&@ shiny female burmy (please excuse my irritated punctuation). I evolved this one into the grass-cloak wormadam and traded off the trash-cloaked one I hatched first. As grass-cloak wormadam is bug/grass, that means Community Hunt Complete x7.

Btw, Shine, you accidentally put me in the first post twice for the shiny gogoat I caught on the 5th.

Oh wow... I was REing in the ice safari while I was typing this post, and at 1,247 REs I find, not the female snorunt I've been looking for, but this purple beauty instead

She's hardy-natured and mischievous, and has her HA So pretty... I was leading with a male cute charmer; as soon as I saw lapras appear I switched in my venusaur and used sleep powder. Got her with the first heal ball, before she could even attempt perish song.

Edit: THIRD shiny bergmite. And of course NOW the cute charm decides to work... Every other shiny I've caught in this safari has been female, EXCEPT the one I'm trying to get *headdesk*

Edit #2: FINALLY!! After three female burmy and 1,840 eggs, a shiny MALE burmy!

After checking for a couple weeks, I finally got a Luvdisc swarm on HeartGold so I could stock up on some Heart Scales. I don’t use them often, but I only had two left and they’re hard to get otherwise (unless I wanted to do a rock smash hunt evidently ). So I decided to teach Pidgeot the only Thief TM I can get in the game (reluctantly, for that reason) and did 100 REs and got 30 more scales.

And after that, I finally started my headbutt hunt for a dream shiny of mine and also one of my favorite pokemon – Heracross – in Azalea Town. I certainly won’t be upset if I find an Aipom first, but I’ll stay till I get Heracross. I decided I’d count these encounters separately, too, so the 300 REs I did between Magikarp and the headbutting will just count towards my next RE hunt.

That was on Friday though, and I ended up getting 300 REs/200 Headbutts done that day. Didn’t have enough time to hunt on Saturday and Sunday though, but I had off work today, so I did 400 REs/HBs. Black 2 is now at 9,400 REs, Platinum at 7,800 REs, and HeartGold at 600 HBs.

I also finished collecting all the mega stones on X. I decided I’m just going to go ahead and play through Y, which prior to the games’ releases had been intended for a BQ...But nearly a year later, it’s clear that’s not going to happen :x Not just due to the odds, but I would also just miss the sprites >.> Maybe one day I’ll want to switch things up and go after a Tyrunt or Fletchling, but not now. So I’ll play through and get the Y mega stones – mainly so I can get Aggronite for a shiny Aggron I’ll hopefully have within the next few months.

After a shiny drought for a few months, I was trying to soft reset for either a shiny Woobat or a shiny Ferroseed falling from the ceiling of the Glittering Cave for nearly 2 days, but I gave up and decided to do some fishing to see if I could find a Staryu. That's when it happened. The first Staryu I encountered today (Second chain after a normal Clauncher) was also a shiny =D

Sorry for double-posting, but:
I was saying to my partner that I had a feeling I’d get a second shiny Cyndaquil from this hunt. I just did! My SS starter hunt has ended at 1,585 SRs (4,758 starters seen). Though I’m thrilled to have a new shiny, and to have successfully SR’ed two starters far below odds (my Cyndaquil in HG came after 510 SRs) I’m a bit bummed it was the same one twice (and this one’s also got a – speed nature hehe). Good news is now I’ll evolve the one on my HG! Thanks to everyone who wished me good luck on this hunt, it was very quick and fun!

It’s the equinox today, hence the nickname.

I was planning on starting another BQ on this file, but I’m not actually feeling too keen on it right now. I think I’d rather keep my focus on my HG BQ and my solosis hunt, and then get my gen III BQ going when I get those Sapphire/Ruby batteries replaced! I might start a new Johto starter hunt for Totodile up again in a little while as I really do want one, but I’ll let it rest for a bit. Seeing as this is my brother’s SS file I might give this one to him if he wants it, though he’s not too excited about shinies generally.

Just a little update post on my part as I didn't find anything shiny the last two days. I got my HG starters SR up to 1140 SR's (3420 seen), of which I did around 400 today.

I paused my chain fishing quest for a while, just because I didn't really feel like doing it today as I was a little tired.

Yes, shiny Dedenne showed up fairly quick. Only 910 RE with a Static lead on Route 11 (Ibwas counting hordes as five Pokemon seen to give me a better total).

Now off to MM two Ralts so I can have a matching Gardevoir/Gallade set with their respective HA for ORAS. Also might hunt in a friend safari for a shiny Venomoth or shiny Eevee

This morning I continued my Shiny Rayquaza SR hunt on Ruby and I did around 85 more soft resets for that; I've done at least 1,100 SRs in total and hopefully this hunt will be done by October. Anyway, I also hatched a dozen more Oddish eggs for my Masuda Method hunt, which was really mediocre, but I plan on hatching more later on.

I'm so happy it was a Growlithe! I love Arcanine, but now I have two fire types.
Yep... I named her after Calcifer from Howls Moving Castle, but as you can see I failed miserably with the spelling.

Well, my next White 2 BQ target will be Eevee in the Castelia Park, I'll use repel trick for it. I bred random illuminate Staryu and my White game and traded it over just so I'll have a lvl 19 Illuminate lead.

Anyways, I reached 120 SRs for Archen last night, I'm not expecting to get it anytime soon so I'll sit down and have a nice time double hunting it and Eevee.
