Yay, my 4th longest hunt is over! Better yet, it didn’t end with a Machoke! After 21,040 REs, a shiny Meditite appeared!

I worked 11-9 yesterday, so I was eager to get home and try to squeeze in 200 REs before the end of the night. By 10 I was hunting, started watching a stream, and 40 REs later, I saw a red Meditite! It was very comforting to not have a Machoke end this lengthier hunt. Although now that I’ve found two, I don’t really have any use for a third, so I’m now hoping strictly for Machop and, most importantly, Scyther!

This one is male, serious, thoroughly cunning, and IVs are: 17 – 21 – 16 – 22 – 16 – 20. Compared to my first Meditite, which was also neutral natured but had 7 Atk IVs and 0 Speed IVs…This one is definitely going to be evolved into Medicham, which I’m working on now.

Grats to everyone who has found a shiny recently!!

I Started hunting in an electric safari for anything to shine and after about 7-800 encounters I got a shiny dedenne!

You know that feeling when you notice a pokemon a shiny form before it even sparkles? Yeah that's the feeling I love :)

Hey Guys, Its been a while since I last posted here, but congrats to all the recent shinies, in my absense I found a shiny skarmory, donphan, venomoth, virizion, muk, and tangrowth! I decided since electric is my favorite type, I'm gonna go on a quest to get all electric shinies! I only have 2 so far, so it'll be a long road, but hey, it should be interesting. I think I'm gonna go for Electrike to start things off! Good luck to all those hunting!

yesterday i hatched a shiny Eevee with the purpouse of evolving it into Sylveon.
its part of my competitive shiny team, its Calm, 31/xx/31/31/31/31 with pixilate
and my gawd isnt it beautiful, ive never liked an eevelution as much as i like Sylveon... who would have know
his name is...

Last time I posted I was approaching 20K encounters on Route 32 and that was two weeks ago so you must be thinking that I've surely found something by now. Well you'd be wrong. The hunt currently stands at a whopping 34,550 REs and is now four times over odds as well as being over double the length of my previous longest hunt.

At 26,000 REs I decided to catch a Mareep to use as a static lead to give me a greater chance of finding Mareep meaning that I've also gone over odds with the static lead. I've also decided to start changing the time on my 3DS so it's always night meaning I have the best chances of finding my two main targets now (Mareep and Wooper) and I also no longer need to worry about a duplicate Hoppip.

Last post I said that I had worries of 40K in the back of my mind and that is becoming a very real possibility now, I just hope it shines before then.

It's been a while since I've caught a shiny, the last one being a Dugtrio I randomly encountered in X. My other two shinies I've randomly found are Shuppet from Sapphire and Marill from B2. I've never tried to chain a shiny so I'm going to see if I can do it for Pumpkaboo since it looks awesome.

I'm currently using my beloved shiny Marill, Apple, in contests and working to make it a Contest Star!

I resumed my previously postponed Shiny Magby MM hunt last night and hatched around 20 eggs. This morning I did at least 60 more soft resets for my Shiny Reshiram hunt in Omega Ruby too and I did 40+ soft resets as well for my Shiny Rayquaza hunt this evening. Good luck to Cpchris and everyone else too.

Oberon eh, from a Midsummer Nights Dream? Awesome nickname!! I might do an Eevee MM soon, to get a Shiny Umbreon, which I have been meaning to get for ages (along with a Shiny Yanma).

I was curious about something though. I know that the castform you get from the weather institute can be shiny, i'm curious if there's anyway to decline it and come back and get it later? It seems like a pain having to battle Maxie over and over again.

Yes, if your party is full, the scientist guy should hang on to it until you have room in your party.

Nearing 1,300 SRs now for Landorus, which will be my stop point for the night.

This morning on X I was horde hunting and found 2 Weepinbell and a Spinda. About 20 minutes ago on AS I finally was able to SR for a Torchic. That now gives me all 3 starters for my next game. Still having no luck SR for a Ho-Oh in HG though.

Shiny aerodactyl after only 272 eggs :D That was a quick hunt. He's adamant (I think that's good...) with Pressure and is alert to sounds.

I have not gotten cresselia yet and I've been hunting her since January 2nd. I'm at 9,800 SRs for her in White 2, against full Gen 5 odds.

This is why I'm going to breed myself a Soundproofer with hypnosis before I go back into a lapras safari. Perish Song doesn't work on anything with the Soundproof ability.

Thanks for that! After being away from my 3ds for about 3 or so months ( Thanks to Borderlands: TPS and Destiny )

I'd totally forgotten what my team was, who had what ability etc

But like my edit said in my last post not more then 4 hours after I was lucky enough to encounter a second shiny Lapras in the same safari!! And I caught it with the first quick ball I threw!

But thanks for the advice!!

Since then I've found myself a Dedenne and not 1 but 2 shiny audino in the same safari whilst looking for another shiny eevee!!

Finally got round to uploading pictures of my sandshrew to the link in my sig. So since getting my sandshrew I haven't played much pokemon been watering my berries and doing some daily stuff but that's about it.(been on my Xbox)
When I finally get round to releasing my 10 boxes of wonder traded stuff and the rest of my left over trapinch from ages ago, I am going to start my next MM hunt. I got a 5iv HA dreamball shelmet with 2 egg moves so I'm going to fill up 10 boxes with eggs then hope it shines :).

WEEEELL, I could've had a Shiny Whismur in Omega Ruby, but my BROTHER was running, tripped on the charge cord, and KNOCKED OUT tthe cartridge before I could save. FML.

I was MM hunting for Sentret for some weeks now and I got what I want. :) After ~520 eggs I got an Impish Shiny Sentret with flawless 31/31/31/x/31/31 IV spread and the right Ability(HA) Frisk. I think I was really lucky, what are actually the chances of getting a perfect Shiny if you are MM breeding and using two at least flawless 5 IV parents with the female having the wanted Ability.... anyone can tell me? :eek:

Isn't that almost the ideal situation to get the pokemon you want? I mean, short of one/both parents also being shiny and holding the item that helps.

I'm at 1.7k SR's for Dialga. By far my longest hunt since actually keeping track of SR's/RE's. Doesn't help that I started 11 shiny hunts, with MORE planned after that...

I'm guessing you're talking about ORAS under the shadow of the bridge near Fortree City? You can chain fish up a shiny Feebas there, quite a few people including myself have. The encounter rate is 100% so it's perfect for that. Good luck!

I did a few more encounters and practiced some more Dexnav chaining. I really want to get the Zigzagoon in time for Valentine's Day so I'm really hoping it shines tonight or tomorrow morning.
