Well, my mewtwo hunt stands at 7360 in SS. Since I got my shiny registeel in AS, I am now going after Regice (my least favorite of the Regi's).
Question for the classroom: is there ANY way to know if the legendary events coming up are going to be shiny locked (Mew, Genesect, Darkrai, etc.)? I figured it's safe to say yes they will be shiny locked, but I am curious.
He's jolly and alert to sounds. Unfortunately, he got Inner Focus instead of Prankster. I think I'm going to keep hatching and try for a better one. This guy I may trade off.
Hello everyone! After around three years, I've finally joined the forums! I'm not great at forum etiquette, so excuse me if I accidentally do something wrong .
Anyways, I've been Shiny Hunting for a while now, these forums are actually what mainly got me into it after I randomly encountered my first Shiny, being Roggenrola, in Pokemon White.
Lately I've been hunting Route 16 on Pokemon X with my Shiny Charm, hoping for a Phantump! I've wanted a Shiny Phantump since I first discovered him back in 2013.
Well, other than that, I'll leave with a link to my latest Shiny Card. I've been on a sort of hiatus from Pokemon for a bit, I'm back now though and excited to get into the community!
i masuda for sneasel and dedenne in my OR #1 since last year, and those two still refuse to shine. so i collected and hatched more of their eggs till midnight
and thank God, sneasel finally appeared after 1508 eggs, but dedenne still continue

After only two days of RE I managed to find My target in ilex forest a shiny male Metapod which I caught in a love ball
Modest sync failed (of course) and it's jolly natured but if I wanted perfection I'd of bred so I can't say I'm to bothered.
My next target is a hoothoot and I'm debating if I should catch it in heart gold with either a moon or level ball or chain in platinum and use a luxury ball. I want them for a gen4 playthrough what do you guys think?
Well, after finally getting the Shiny Charm in AS and then not getting a single shiny with it, I switch back to my X and started sweet scenting horde hunting and on Route 12, I catch my very own Shiny Wingull. My first shiny of 2016!! I named her Shine-Gull, yes so original I know.

And then while horde hunting a Nidoran on Route 11 after breaking for supper and a movie, the first horde I trigger contains a lovely red skunk I named her Rouge.
Shiny female tranquill caught in the flying safari. I have both forms of unfezant shiny already, so she'll be going to Artnerd later. She's relaxed and likes to thrash about, with her hidden ability, Rivalry.
Route 216 is at 4,800 REs. Riolu #2 is at 900 eggs.
Decided to give the CH a go and after a rather frustrating shiny hunt in Victory Road that saw me break my fishing chain about 10 times, I ran into shiny Magikarp after a chain of 37
I think I'll end up evolving it as I've never played the Johto games and want a red Gyarados of my own.

Yes, after ~8,780 REs this beaver decides to shine instead of Shinx :[ But hey, like I said, atleast I don't have to worry about HMs now except fly lol. His nature is Bold, which is kinda bad since it lowers his highest stat, attack. He's doing surprisingly well though! He got confused by a Zubat but managed to not hit himself in confusion once in those 4 turns he was confused, Bob is a fighter! As for my next target, I could still go for Shinx again.. I'll hunt it in Valley Windworks this time since I don't have any of the 4 pokemon found there shiny. Although, using static will also increase Pachirisu's encounter rate but I'll just have to risk it! Out of the 4 pokemon there I want Shellos the least, I like the East Sea one way more. Its nice though, hunting in a route where I don't risk finding any repeats, definitely takes some stress off my back.

I've been very lucky this week. First i started a grass monotype run in Y and found a completely random shiny Torkoal. After that I started a psychic monotype run in AS and found a completely random shiny Nincada. I guess I should do more monotype runs, seems to give me lots of luck. LOL
After 1754 REs, a shiny Jigglypuff shined! I was hoping for a Nidoran male or female but since I didn't have a shiny Jigglypuff, I'm really happy about it!
Now, I will hunt Larvitar in Sevault Canyon. I really want that shiny!
Since this is my 3rd "1st gen" shiny, that means CH Complete x3!
Hooray! As I was surfing on Route 105 on my Omega Ruby I encountered a shiny Krabby which I quickly captured for my growing shiny collection hee hee. I'm debating whether I should evolve it, but right now I'm undecided so I might just keep it like this for now. ^^;

I have been a shiny hunter since about 2012 with a collection of over 150 shinies but there are still many more to be found and some of the those shinies are duplicates making that number bigger than what it actually is. I've been stalking this forum for a little while and you guys have the craziest luck ever! My current hunts are in the safari zone looking for a Ditto and I'm halfway through a badge quest on my HeartGold at badge #5 trying to find the next shiny for the quest. It was nice to meet you all, I want to give a huge blanket congrats on all the shinies before this post and good luck to those who need it! (P.S. if I did find a shiny I wouldn't be able to post it with the spam filter ;-
Congrats to all recent shinies. It's been forever since I've been here and luckily the first time I check back in here the CH is something 1st gen related. And just by my great timing and hotribe lucky with gaming equipment. I've been hunting the 3 birds in my FireRed. I found and caught Moltres last Tuesday and just found and caught Zapdos today. I will update my post another day because my phone is being stupid and won't let me upload pictures.
Also, if someone could PM an answer to my question I'm about to ask, that would be great. My question is, I am able to replace the internal battery of Pokémon Emerald and if I do, I'll be able to Soft reset for Groudon, Kyorge and Rayquaza right?

Its been awhile since I've gotten a 2-in-1 day! This definitely makes up for Bidoof... BUT, why won't Shinx shine lol!? The static ability is not my friend atm. I'm debating if I should stay and keep going for Shinx or move on to a different hunt... I mean, Shinx was really the main poke I wanted in this BQ but at this point it will be so underleveled on my team.. I guess I could always grind them levels up like I'm gonna have to do for Buizel anyways.. Might as well keep going for Shinx!

I have an excess of evolutionary stones in White 2, so I decided to catch some Vulpix for evolution. I only found one and so decided to get 4 eggs from it. I had a really good feeling about the batch, especially as my 3rd egg hatched, and lo and behold, thanks to the Shiny Charm and Masuda Method I got a gorgeous golden fox! He's calm and has Flash Fire, and likely no good IVs. He's the second shiny I've found in gen 5, and he needs a good name if anyone has any ideas!
Well, I have been pretty busy for a while now. I got my third Shiny Oddish on Monday after 256 Hordes. Then, the next day I got my fourth and final Shiny Oddish after 274 Hordes. After that, I've been in a chain fishing mood. Since I was already on Route 119, I figured I would stay there. I got my first Shiny, a Tentacool, at 7 encounters into the chain on Thursday, so Community Hunt complete! Then, 20 encounters later in the same chain I got a Shiny Magikarp, so, again, Community Hunt complete! By this point it was late enough that I could find Feebas by the rock, so I decided to chain for those. At 24 on another chain, the first Shiny Feebas appeared. Then, 12 into another chain, the second appeared. After this, I figured I would just finish out the Old Rod. After 11 encounters into yet another chain on Friday, a Shiny Magikarp appeared. Then, 50 encounters into a different chain I got a 5% Shiny Feebas, making it my third. 48 encounters into another chain, I got a Shiny Tentacool to finish out the Old Rod encounters. After, I went to Route 118 in order to get two Shiny Carvanha/One Shiny Carvanha and one Shiny Sharpedo. After 13 encounters into a chain, the first one appeared. Then, today I got my second Shiny Carvanha on a chain of 48. Then, I decided to switch to my Y and do some Chain Fishing in there. The first I found was a Shiny Luvdisc on a chain of 3. Then, I got a Shiny Skrelp after 19 on the same chain. After that, I got a second Shiny Skrelp at 110, still on the same chain. After this, I decided to go for the Poliwag line. I got a Poliwag on a chain of 26, so again Community Hunt complete! After that, I got a Shiny Poliwhirl on a chain of 31, so yet again Community Hunt complete!
tl;dr: I got 2 Shiny Oddish, 2 Shiny Tentacool, 2 Shiny Magikarp, 3 Shiny Feebas, 2 Shiny Carvanha, 1 Shiny Luvdisc, 1 Shiny Poliwag, and 1 Shiny Poliwhirl and am only counting 1 of each Gen 1 as part of the CH.

Honestly, I think one of my biggest hopes in terms of shinies for this year is to finally get Chimchar by the end of it whilst keeping it a side hunt.
I did a good job reviving the hunt this past year. I started the hunt on the last day of April in 2013 (I’d gotten a 2nd Platinum, but decided to give it to my friend to play, so I tried to hunt it before school let out for her as that’s when she’d be ready for it) and I did 1,485 SRs by May 15th. Then early 2014 was when I got my NDS Adaptor Plus so I could swap the save files on my carts which meant I could resume the hunt, though I only did a few SRs on 3 separate days and got my SRs to 1,510. Then I picked it back up in January 2015, but only for 4 days before abandoning it, but decided to make a better effort in early May and made it to 4,900 SRs by the end of the year. In the last 6 months of the year, I ended up doing 2,200 SRs for it, so I’m hoping I can beat that by a decent amount by July.
I think after Lapras, my next SR target will be Charmander. If I’m being an optimist and thinking I’ll get my final Cyndaquil sometime in the next couple months, I’m planning to go for Charmander first, and I’d like to find it on my main file first. Not quite sure where I’ll fit it into my hunts, but…Hopefully I can get it quickly. Pretty neat to think I might finally get a shiny Charizard soon! One of those shinies I wanted most like Heracross, but never actually got around to (Heracross took a long time to get to)…
I’ve missed shiny hunting Work, casino trip with coworkers, and working on some other things kept me busy for over a week now (aside from 10 Chimchar SRs/30 Cyndaquil SRs on Tuesday) >.< Hopefully I’m back to it though. As always, I guess breaks are good too (Now on Sunday, I’m finally finishing the batch of starters I’d started working on last Tuesday before I was called into work!)
