I am trying to make my way through the @#$% Haina Desert and I stumbled over a surprise random shiny! :D

Surprise Sandile! Named him Specs because I was caught by surprise and didn't have a better name ready lol.

After the third shiny lampent in the friend safari, I decided to switch tactics and hatch the pumpkaboo instead. I found a female with Pickup, caught it in a heal ball, and put it in the daycare with a 6IV Japanese ditto. Up to 361 eggs hatched so far.

Finally obtained every Shiny Alola Form a few minutes ago (All 21). The last one was a Graveler, had too get another Geodude and evolve it. Pretty Sweet, also I finally picked up the Shiny Charm today even though I finished the regular dex a couple weeks ago now... Been stuck in front of a PC for a while.

In terms of the Gen 7 mons, need seven more to complete the Shiny living dex

and for Shiny alternate forms I need 1 more of Lycanroc, Wishiwashi, and Oricorio, 5 Minior and 9 Silvally.

Hopefully there's enough room in Bank for everything... Hmm...


Update: I obtained Lycanroc, Oricorio, 2 more Minior (Green Base) no new sprite colors unfortunately.... On the upside I've got three Shiny's left to get Rowlet, Araquanid, and Shiinotic.

Omg I'm so happy rn. I was EV training my second shiny rattata and other pkmn in hp against munchlax and after abt 70-77 SOS calls a shiny appeared. I was just EV training and then was gonna look for a HA one and the one that called the shiny had it so I threw a beast ball and it popped out then called a shiny and the shiny also has HA and good IVs.

I haven't gotten him yet, but I've only tried once so far. I am almost at 90% for my Dex so I'm holding out on doing any more hunting until I get the charm I think. I got lucky with coming across my Fomantis without it lol

FINALLY got my Shiny Geodude, took at least 300 encounters, and it was really annoying with all the parahax and sturdy. I used a bunch of Full Restores on my 5 Golducks just to keep them going until they ran out of PP. Super tedious shiny, but I managed to get it!

Female, Quirky, with Galvanize! Didn't check IVs yet, nicknamed her Magnesia. Now I have my full team for my 2nd playthrough of Sun ready! Can't wait to dive in and play with a full shiny team. :) Here's my team in case anyone is wondering:

Nero the Litten
Tucano the Pikipek
Vanilla the Fomantis
Scuba the Dewpider
Pikaboo the Mimikyu
Magnesia the Geodude

I kinda want to do another shiny playthrough after this one, but I really need to SR for Type: Null as well. :/

After receiving the shiny charm I started to MM Rockruff and around 70-80 eggs a shiny hatched !

In a Moon ball with 3 egg moves and its near perfect too ;)

My first S.O.S. shiny has arrived.

In about 30 encounters (yeah, I know) I got a shiny Caterpie.

It is Impish with 3 perfect IVs (Attack, Sp. Defense and Speed IIRC), so I can probably give it some utility moves like Thief and Sleep Powder.

Edit: After chain fishing, this is the second purposeful method that worked, although I've visited Friend Safaris just long enough for it to work.

Edit 2: Jazz (nickname) is now a Butterfree. I must say, I really like the colors of the evolution line.

Ah ok. I ran into a shiny fomantis with out it too it took 22 SOS calls. I got like 15-17 with out shiny charm.

Anyway, after what seems to be an hour of chaining, I finally got a shiny Meowth with the Lonely nature (Alert to Sounds). It's imperfect IVs are Special Attack and Defense, but they are equally good stats, so my stat window looks like a rectangle.

While seaching for Adamant Abra with Synchronize in Hau'oli City encounter a shiny Wingull and caught it. First shiny I caught in Gen 7 games.

I found and captured a shiny Mankey by using the SOS method. I found it in about 30 encounters. Here's some pictures.

That's awesome was it SOS. Shiny Comfey is cool I like it I actually shiny hunted it last weekend got abt an hour later. Good luck.

Also I'm thinking abt starting a MM hunt for Minior or pinsir which one do u guys think I should do first?

Yeah it was SOS, I went out and caught 5 Damp Golducks just to do this, which was hard because they still took a good amount of damage from Thunder Punch. Would I recommend hunting Geodude via SOS? No. Hell no. Sturdy + Paralysis shenanigans, Damp Pokemon being a must, and full heals/paralyze heals/full restores being totally necessary is really, really tedious. I'm glad mine paid off with a HA shiny though. That was totally unexpected.

I'd say Minior, it's got a really cool shiny and Pinsir can just be ORAS chained or Friend Safari'd in Gen 6.

IMO I'd have to say the route before Fallarbor town, the one with ashes all over, mostly because you can just camp a little bit after the entrance to the route and the Pokemon doesn't appear over ledges/beneath or in annoying places.
