There's been a terrible attack in Canada's largest city today. A van drove onto the sidewalk and plowed through a crowd of pedestrians killing 9 and injuring 16 others. The suspect is now in custody by Toronto police. I offer my condolences to the good people of Toronto.

UPDATE (4/25/2018): The arrested driver has been identified as Alek Minassian, a 25-year-old white male from Richmond Hill, Ontario. He had earlier made a Facebook post making reference to the misogynistic "Incel" (involuntary celibate) movement, while hailing the 2014 Isla Vista killer Elliot Roger as a "supreme gentleman".

It's good to know justice will be served, but it still won't heal the wounds left behind by this revelation. I really love his stand-ups and I've seen a bit of The Cosby Show (but didn't grow up with it like with his albums), but it's not fun to question your childhood and if it was truly okay to have laughed yourself to tears when you only really understood half of the things he was talking about (being a kid and all).

It's just depressing.

The real tragedy here is Cosby won't even do 10 years, he's just too old and his time is coming.

Cosby lived 80 years of his life a free man, became a cultural icon, a multi millionaire, nice family. Had it all, lived it all.

Incarceration does nothing at this point, I'm happy the victims feel otherwise but the man is already on his way out.

Explosive devices like pipe bombs and pressure cooker bombs have been found on- and off-campus, so it's likely that the shooting was premeditated. The suspect in custody is a 17-year-old male student. Some of the students at Santa Fe participated in a walk-out against gun violence last month, and their own school fell victim to such violence just today. A very shocking day for them indeed.

UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis. He recently posted a photo of a custom black t-shirt that says "Born to Kill" and there were also photos of a duster jacket with Nazi regalia. According to students, he was quiet and he wore a trench coat to school everyday, even if it was hot.

Of course another school shooting gets glorified on TV, but over 100 people lose their lives in a plane crash with a plane that was honestly too old to still be flying. Is it because they aren't Americans?

The media doesn't care about these kids. If they did, they wouldn't be so quick to shove a microphone in their faces right after they watched a friend or two eat a bullet, or walk past someone's lifeless body.

Of course my hearts to the victims in both tragedies but the media can't be covering just one tragedy but not the other.

The moment I learned about his cancer and how bad it was, I was hoping another couple of months, this is disheartening.

He may have said some controversial s***, but he really was something else for the time.

Yet another school shooting today, this time in Indiana. A middle school student asked to be excused, came back with two handguns, and opened fire. No one was killed, but a student and a teacher were injured. The injured female student is in critical condition. The injured teacher is Jason Seaman, a former football player at Southern Illinois University, and he is in good condition. The name of the shooter, now in custody, has not yet been released.
