    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
    Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

    We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

From what I've heard, changing the clock won't speed things up in the Safari Zone. So it's useless to try :(

Am I not understanding the PokeRadar technique on the PokeWalker?

Is it just a glitch that when you select a patch of grass with a '!' above it at just the last second, it doesn't go into battle mode, but instead continues on to a new patch of grass? Because it ALWAYS does that for me if I select the patch just before time is up.

The only time I ever saw a '!!' was when I skipped two battle modes this way. Is this supposed to be possible or is it just a glitch?

And is it possible to get a '!!' or '!!!' on the first patch of grass (in other words, without skipping the battle mode as I described above) , or will the first one always be a '!'?

God this is hard to articulate. Do you understand what I'm trying to ask? (If you don't, go to the Walker's PokeRadar and select the '!' patch JUST before it says "It ran away.")

No, it's not a glitch; it's how the Pokeradar works... for example

-you start up the pokeradar-

1) A " ! " will ALWAYS appear first when you start up the pokeradar

-click on the " ! " and it will either go to a battle or keep going. Keep in mind that if you go into battle at this point, then the Pokemon will always be from group C

2) Another " ! " will ALWAYS appear after the first " ! " if a battle did not happen when you clicked on the first " ! ".

-click on the new " ! " and it will either go to a battle or keep going. Keep in mind that if you go into battle at this point, then the Pokemon will be either from group C or B

3) A " !! " will ALWAYS appear after the second " ! " if a battle did not happen when you clicked on the second " ! ".

-click on the " !! " and it will either go to a battle or keep going. Keep in mind that if you go into battle at this point, then the Pokemon will be either from group B or A

3) A " !!! " will ALWAYS appear after the " !! " if a battle did not happen when you clicked on the " !! ".

-click on the " !!! " and it will go to a battle. Keep in mind that if you go into battle at this point, then the Pokemon will always be from group A

Messing with the DS clock sets the Safari Zone time back to Day 0, so don't do it.

hi i cant find riolu in the safari zone. i checked how to with the 70 days and 14 rocks and 10 trees but he still wont come. ive tried for days. it also says you have to interact with him. help pls?

You have to put any
14 Peak Objects
-Small Rock
-Big Rock
-Mossy Rock

and any

10 Forest Objects
Tree
Stump
Branches

into the meadow zone and wait 70 days then he will appear

Okay, my question's going to be either interesting or obvious... I might have misinterpreted something, so I'm going to ask...

Say I give my Power Band to a Pineco, wanting to EV train in Special Defense. Do I necessarily have to battle with Sp.Def-EV-giving Pokemon to get those 4 extra EVs in Special Defense, or could I battle with, say, a Sentret, and still gain 4 Sp.Def EVs?

You'll still get the 4 EVs from the power band, but you'll also get whatever EVs the pokemon you beat would give you. In your Sentret example, you'll get 4 Sp. Def EVs and 1 Attack EV.

You have to Battle a Sp Giving Pokemon and with the Power Band i think you get 5 points not 4

If I kill Entei/Raikou by accident, and then I defeat the Elite 4, will they appear in the Burned Tower before roaming again? Or will they be gone forever?

Nope, just defeat the Elite 4 again, and they'll be there again.

will they get the same stats as before or can i use soft-reset method to get shiny one of them after?

So I can just defeat every legendary needed to get the phone numbers and then beat the E4 to get them again?


How do they count the days in the Safari Zone?
