• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Wow that poll is a great idea, I voted for two beasts (Suicune and Raikou) and for Zapdos. I really hope this isn't going to be another Arceus domination, I really don't want an Arceus. Hopefully someone more interesting like Rayquaza will win it this time.

Can you tell us where you got the info from?

Someone leaked one of the methods of implanting the Mystery Gift into your game after managing to get tickets to the premiere of the movie, which included the distribution

Pokémon Power Bracket

Yes, the folks at the official Pokémon website are at it again, asking us fans to pick our favorite pre-Gen. V Pokémon! This time, though, there's a twist: only the Legendaries are in the poll.
First up is the Preliminary Round, where the Birds and Beasts are facing off for the final three slots in the 32-character bracket. After that the whole thing is split up into four, eight-Pokémon "Quarter" named after the four original regional professors (Oak, Elm, Birch, and Rowan). Within each quarter there are four initial match-ups, with subsequent match-ups of the winners until one from each Quarter is chosen as the favorite. Ultimately, the favorite of the two winners of the Oak and Elm Quarters will face off with the favorite between the winners of the Birch and Rowan Quarters, with the last one standing being the grand winner of the Pokémon Power Bracket!
But what is it that the winner gets, exactly? Well, the chosen Legendary will not only "take over" Pokémon.com for a week and be the star of a collection of official computer downloadable goodies to be given away on the site, but will also feature on their very own t-shirt available exclusively at HotTopic.com! Yes, exciting stuff, people. (For more info on any of this, either check out the link above or feel free to ask for clarification from someone here.)

Anyway, since this whole Power Bracket poll competition is for the fans, I figured there should be a place here for us voters to talk about the event. Whether you want to discuss the latest results, how fair or unfair you think the match-ups are, or who you are rooting for, this is the spot to do it! So, without further ado, let the discussion begin!

Is the winner available over wi-fi?

a special downloadable prize pack will be given away to everyone to celebrate the victory!

This is what they've said, nothing more. It could mean anything from V-create Rayquaza to more stupid avatars for their website.

(Also Phione is now officially a legendary once more! Vote for it!)

Or you could just vote for Manaphy, and then if they give it out over wi-fi, you get Phione too.

If the pokemon will be able to get over wi-fi, why vote for something like Rayquaza. There's still a chance we'll get the shiny event one. Phione is out of the question. Vote for Manaphy, and then breed it with Ditto to get a Phione. That's two for one. We should vote for something that hasn't been available a lot. Something like Mew, Celebi, or even Jirachi and Deoxys.

But if the pokemon won't be available over wi-fi, I don't really care about it.

No. There has been no mention of Wi-Fi, so it should probably be assumed that there is no in-game content to be made available. Don't lose hope for a Wi-Fi event yet, but at the same time don't hold your breath.
I voted Articuno even though he is losing.
Yeah, me too. For some reason, when looking at Zapdos and Articuno I thought, "You know, for some reason I actually think I like them better than their Beast opponents." Then on the third one I thought, "OK, sorry Moltres, but this is Suicune."

Voting for the Oak and Birch Quarters in the Power Bracket has now begun! I really didn't expect that they would be doing two quarters at once, but at least we'll know the winner sooner that way, I guess. What I did expect? Not a single Bird won in the preliminaries (In related news, Entei is now up against Mewtwo and Raikou against Arceus. Fair match-ups!). Anyway, the schedule is up for the voting, and it looks like next week will begin the Elm and Rowan Quarters' voting period, and then the first of the Round 2 voting begins the following week. So, what are you all thinking about the current results? Are they what you expected? I know I for one am kind of surprised by Giratina just barely beating Shaymin.

The current results of these match ups are completely unsurprising, aside from Giratina being almost even with Shaymin. Even though I don't dislike Arceus, I truly hope it does not win.

I voted for Raikou, Celebi, Kyogre, Darkrai, Entei, Jirachi, Dialga, and Shaymin.
