Official Pokémon Sheet Music Thread

I have thought it would be cool to be able to play pokemon songs from the games, and the from the show on piano. I also have a harmonica, and a guitar, and basicly the idea of being able to do this, appeals to me. I can already play part of the elite four music on my piano. Has anyone else an interest in this, or perhaps a helpful (appropriate) link to accurate sheet music? Perhaps others have also tried to play pokemon midis and game music, such as from the intoduction to pokemon red? ;000;

I'm afraid that I don't have any links to sheet music, but I can play some songs on the piano. I can give you the simple melodies (because I can't get the harmonies to line up correctly) and, for most of them, the key.

Challenger!! is in c# minor. I figured out some of it:

f#g#f#g#f#g#f#g#f#g#f#g# g#g#g#g# bbbc#
(Ikukkyanai yarukkyanai makekonai tomaranai saigo made)

f#g#g#f#g#f#g#g#f#g#f#g#g#g# bg#f#ef#f#f#g#f#

f#g#g#f#g#f#g#g#f#g#f#g#g# bbg#f#g#ef#f#g#e
(Aseranai awatenai itsumo haruka na yume mezashite)

What Kind of Pokémon Are You? is in a minor. Here's the chorus:

aacefefd bbcdededca aaacdcedde
(What Kind of Pokémon Are You? How do you do the things you do~? Share with me your secrets deep insi~de.)

aacefefd bcg(higher)ggae(down) aaabcefa~ ddcdcdc(dca very quickly)
(What Kind of Pokémon Are You? Are you loyal through and through? And do you have a heart that's true~? What Kind of Pokémon Are You~?)

One of my favorite dub openings, This Dream. Another a minor:

(aga) abcbaga bcbabagg aabcbcdc edccddb dddde
((Pokémon!) Every trainer has the choice to listen to the voice inside. I know the battle may be long, winners may have come and gone. I will carry on!)

edcccccc cdddce edcccccccga (ddee)
(Yeah, this dream will last forever! This dream will never die! We will rise to meet the challenge every time! (Every challenge!))

edcccccc cdddce ddefededcdca ddefededcdca (aga)
(Yeah, this dream keeps us together; this shows that you and I will be the best that the world's ever see~n because we always will follow this drea~m! (Pokemon!))

The 3rd Pkmn AG ending, Smile, is in Bb major! Here's the vocal part. Flats would be hard to show, so è=e flat and ß=b flat.:

fffffgfèd dddèdcß ßdccßcdd fffffgfèd dddèdcß ßdccßcßß
(Koraekirezu ni ima nagashita kimi no namida ga hika~tte.

(Ima wa mienakutemo tashika (pronounced here "tashka", only 2 syllables) ni kimi no mune no naka ni aru nanika wo shi-njinuku tsuyosa wa kimi no egao wo ma~tteru.)

The first Pkmn AG end is Sokoni Soraga Arukara. It's in... uh... d of some sort, I think; the flats or sharps keep changing around. X_x:

da(up)agdge(down)c dddc#dea(down)e(up)~f daagagef a#(up)aggfee~d~
(Furimuite gora-n kimi no tsuketa (this "tsu" is spoken, but doesn't get its own note) mi~ chi~ ga.... Kao agete gora-n mirai wo tsukuru~ yo~.)

ddedef# f#af#e~ef#db d~c#de~def# b(up)af#e~f#eb
(Ganbarukoto ni tsukareta~ toki ni wa so~ra wo mi~agete namida wo~ nagasou.)

eeeef#eedc#da(up)~c#(down)db(up)a eeeef#eedc#da(up)aaaagf#ef#
(Hoho naderu kaze ga ki-tto~ iu (pro. "yoo-oo", 2 syll.) kara "Korondemo ii (2 syll.) sa kimi wa kimi ga suteki sa~.")

da(up)agdge(down)c dddc#dea(down)e(up)~f daagagef a#(up)aggfee~d~

def~bbff ddda(up)d(down)ddc#d~f#
(Arui~teyukou soko ni sora ga arukara~~.) (Then transpose the chorus up one step.)

kOOL!
I'd love to play some pokemon musci, especially from the games, on my trombone or the piano. I've fiddled around with it before but I don't remember.
Thanx, Kthleen, I'll try those tomorrow when I'm awake!

I can play a lot of the ingame music on the piano very easily. In fact, I stole a bit of the music of Celadon City, used it in a Music composition for school, and got full marks (not just for that bit though). The melodies themselves are very simple, and if you put your Game Boy next to you, and listen to them over and over again, you should be able to get them eventually. The only real hard part is putting chords in, but that just takes a lot of practise.

This is a pretty good idea for a thread. Surprised there isn't many posts yet. Most Pokemon music seems to be done on the piano, but I want to know if anyone can get some for guitar, seeing as I play it.

I play the Zylophone/Bells at my school, and I know how to play the battle music from RBY/leafgreen/firered. I don't exactly remember the notes... I just fiddled around, looking for the perfect ones, and found it. If I find out what they are, I'll post them up. (They should also be compatible for flutes, since bells and flutes share the same melodies usually)

PokeMusic

As I have stated previously, some years ago, I found a book of sheet music from the Pokemon anime. It was transcribed for the tenor recorder, and an ivory plastic recorder was included in the package. One of the songs was "Pikacu's Good-by". There were chord notations, too.

Unfortunately, even though I prowl the music stores regularly, and check on the web, I don't think anyone has published another set of sheet music from the show.

Warning: What I am going to suggest is for your personal use only, by the laws of international copyright. You should record the songs. Find a keyboard and transcribe them onto what is called a score sheet. Work out the time and key signatures. Write on your copy where you heard the music. Look at the game credits to see who wrote it, and put their name on it, too.

End of lecture.
