Knight who says Ni
Cofagrigus is a mouthful for sure

I keep trying to say it outload to see how it sounds and I end up tripping over my words :C

Also the same for the sunfish I'm not even gonna try XD

Too many syllables just a bit :C

I prefer shorter, easier to say names XD

Riversong

Buggy down.
These are some long names! Cofagrigus...okay? Lol. My little sister's going to have a hell of a name trying to pronounce a lot of these.

Tabunne is cuter than Audino )= Oh well.

Ahh, I was reading Conkeldurr as CONK-el-durr, but I guess it's conk-EL-durr as in elder. Sounds pretty funny the other way. XD

Anybody figure out where the emphasis on Cofagrigus is? I've been thinking co-FAH-gri-gus, seems to flow better than CO-fa-gri-gus. I dunno though.

Overall, I really like these names. I doubt Audino comes from Audio and No, seeming as neither of those have any relation to the Pokemon. Coincidence, I think, because the 'I dunno' corruption seems more likely, in the same vein as Wynaut.

Only ones I can really complain about are Throh, Sawk and Unfezant (but I'll get used to them). I'm a big fan otherwise, I like the wide range of inspirations and puns in all these names, specifically;

-Pawniard/Bisharp
-Galvantula
-Lillipup (YES)
-Roggenrola
-Woobat/Swoobat (I like the connection with Zubat)
-Whimsicott
-Krookodile
-SIGILYPH
-Solosis/Duosion/Reuniclus (digging the cell puns)
-Vanillish/Vanillite/Vanilluxe
-Klang/Klinklang
-Elgyem/Beheeyem (another awesome inspiration)
-Litwick/Lampent/Chandelure
-Cryogonal
-Deino/Zweilous (I'm assuming zwei is pronounced as it is in German, 'zvai'?)

Mandibuzz and Heatmor are a little iffy but overall, I'm really happy with the names this time around. Good work, NoA.

Yeah, I understand that it comes from those words but COUGH a gri gus sounds so... I dunno, hokey? They switch up the pronunciation with names, sometimes going against the words they come from, so I feel like co-FAH-gri-gus would simply roll off the tongue much nicer. Am I the only one who thinks so?

Tabunne was a pun on a phrase meaning 'probably, right?' and also had an audio based pun in there, which I forget. Also its Japanese classification could be taken to mean Hearing/Healing. Its dex entries talk about its amazing hearing abilities.

this is a Nessa x Sonia stan account ✨
I'm kind of split on the names. Some are good, some are okay, some are terrible, some are hard to pronounce.

Ahh, you're right, S_M. Forgot about that.

Would Crustle be pronounced like crust or castle (i.e. (Cruss-Tull or Cruss-Ull)?

Yamask can come from

Yami = Japanese for Darkness
Mask

as well.

And I do think it's repent too, Lampent supposedly comes for the dying's soul before it dies to take it to the afterlife, those who die will repent for their sins before passing.

Could be lament, could be repent, I didn't bother updating the list since most names have multiples ways of being interpreted.

Mandiness

Charmander Master
I'm pretty torn on most of the new names. I'm sure I'll warm up to them over time, but my immediate thought was, "Time to think of some nicknames!"

Mind you...I like Mandibuzz. I think whenever I'm REALLY happy from here on in I'll say I'm having a Mandy-buzz.

List I found with English names and pictures is fake. Proof: it's Ononokusu, not Ononokus. 8D

For some reason, everytime I try pronouncing Cofagrigus in my head, I imagine a bear interrupting my trying to pronounce it and mauling me. Dunno why.

And if that list seriously is true, then people got the Pignite evo right (I've been hearing Piglit/Pignite/Pignition.) See, they do use fan names... like Leafeon from waaaaaaay back in gen 1.

See, they do use fan names.

That Nintendo of America's trained, vetted and paid staff of marketing professionals were able to come up with the same names as a bunch of us random schmoes on the Internet does not in the slightest equate to them "using fan names".
