Go! Spice!
*A new team hatches a plan in their secret headquarters far away...
*Your character wakes up from a horrible dream...
*Your Dad! (Shocker!) comes in to wake you to go get your first pokemon.
"What's wrong?"
Girl:"Oh! Daddy! It was sooooo horrible! There were these bad guys and they were using Pokemon to do bad things!"
Boy: "Pops! There were these bad men and women using pokemon to try and take over the world!!"
"Now, now, it was just a dream. Dry your eyes, don't forget today is the day you get your first pokemon."
Girl: "Oh! Yeah! This is gonna be fun! I'll be down in a sec!"
Boy: "That's right! Go away Dad! I don't want you to see me change!"
After that:
"Bye Mom and Dad! I'll call you later!"
At the Lab:
Prof: "-(Opposite gender rival) Are you ready, your journey is about to unfold)
Enter your character:
Boy:"Yo!"
Girl: "I have arrived!"
Rival:
Girl: That was rude I was just about get my first Pokemon!"
Boy: "What's up (Name)?
Prof: "If all introductions are finished its time to pick the pokemon!"
I'm all out of ideas fro now

What I'm hoping for is a hatred rivalry once again, like the Red/Blue one where it was a battle to be better. Or Gold/Silver where the opponent was nice. None of this Ruby/Sapphire stuff where its a friendly rivalry, we need more pure unadultred hatred!

Maybe not to that extent but hopefully it's a more fierce rivalry than "Hi, auww your pokemon are sooo cute, c'mon, lets have a friendly battle." Where instead you can have "I hate weak pokemon! Strong pokemon for me! Grr! *menacing face*"

So yeah, more fierceness in the rivalry. And I like the ideas of two teams both in play for Emerald because it gives even more to do and keeps things fresher. Doubt that will happen in Diamond and Pearl though unfortunately.

My idea go's this:

You're about to get your pokemon when you see two older kids battling each other, and you watch for awhile (this'll act as a tutorial), afterwards, you head to the lab. You'll meet up with the proffesor, and two other kids/teens, one is a few years older and is the son/daughter of the professor, while the other, about your age, is your best friend (or possibly the professor's nephew). Once you and your friend get your pokemon, a discussion starts

Friend: Hey (insert your character's name)! I guess we'll be rivals! Well, I'm not goin' easy on you ok? Just to prove it, let's battle!

(you can actually lose, and a slightly different discussion will occur)

If you win:
Friend: Wow, you're strong... I better train!

Son/daughter of prof.: Bah! I was never like that when I got my (insert the starter that has a type disadvantage to your pokemon), why let's battle to prove it (insert your character's name)!

If you lose:
Friend: Its ok (insert your character's name), you gotta train more, that's all.

Son/daughter of prof.: Oh well, at least you can redeem yourself by losing to me and my (insert the starter that has a type disadvantage to your pokemon)!

The starter of him/her's is at its final stage, and will beat you no matter what.

Afterwards your adventure will be about getting badges (or a D/P equivalent of badges) and stopping the villain, but with a twist, the leader of this evil group is (insert a main "good" character)!

That is my idea.

You come from Futuba nearby, and head to first town for your first Pokémon.

Suddenly a kid runs past you stating that "they're coming" and hides in the long grass.

The kid !'s and reemerges to give you one of his three Pokémon to defend yourself with if you need to, then both of you hide again.

2 of Team [whatever] run past you and kid and find the professor in the town and chase him.

You and the kid follow into the lab.

The 2 Team whatevers demand for his Pokémon, but being a hardarse doesn't even reply and pushes past them heading towards you and the kid.

"Now's your chance".

You emerge and battle one with your new Pokémon while the kid battles the other.

After defeating, they run off.

Professor is doubtful about you but gives you a chance as you battled off the grunts.

Kid (too young) gives you the other 2 Pokémon and professor says there are 2trainers awaiting for them in nearby towns.

He says if you take the kid with you, you can keep the Pokémon you chose.

You and the kid start off together and you show the kid to the first town (your home town), give the 2 trainers their Pokémon, then you go your seperate ways.

That sounds almost familiar... Hm...

Anyway...

I'd like it if the story just started off normally, like in Red/Blue or Gold/Silver... Kid wants to become trainer and goes to recieve a PokéMon, but when he gets there he/she discovers that someone is doing the same. You both choose and then fight.

Then when you leave you learn of a gang/evil organization that is doing whatever in a town near by and you fight some of them. You go back afterwords with your rival, get your stuff, and leave on your adventure.

The beginning doesn't need to be super exciting or amazing, just introductery.

Rest My Chemistry
Here's mine:
Key:
HERO/HEROINE- You
RIVAL- Opposite gender, Pearl for Girl, Diamond for Boy
After choosing Name, Time and Gender:

It's a [Sunny/Night, depending on time] day in Futaba Town and you, [hero/heroine] are sleeping in your home. You are awoken by a phone call from [Professor Rowan (Let's just say it's Rowan)].
He has shocking news and urgently tells you to go to his lab, next door.

Go downstairs and tell your Mom/Dad where you're going. Head outside and walk to the lab. Outside of the lab is your Friend, [the opposite gender], who is training to become a trainer, like you.

Go inside and you will find Professor Rowan panicking. Your RIVAL [Opposite gender] will comfort him and ask what is wrong.
Professor Rowan tells them the following:

Professor: "Thank you for coming so fast children, sorry if I woke you. As you know, I have a lot of pokémon to study at the lab here and one in particular is unique. My pokémon [Insert Pyschic Pokemon's name] can sometimes predict the future (And it's only move is Future Sight so far). He/She (The pokemon will be your gender) predicted that an evil organisation, [Team Whatever], are planning to melt the snow up north and flood Shinou. I need one of you to go north and stop them".

RIVAL: "I'll go! How about you [HERO/HEROINE]?"
Yes/No question- either way you're going.

Professor Rowan: "Great! Here! Have a pokémon for your errand! Do you want?"
Choice between 3 starters. Pick one.
After you pick one, it is revealed that the pokéball you picked is empty. Your friend will pick the one stronger than yours.

Professor Rowan: "I'm sorry, [HERO/HEROINE], your pokemon must have dissapeared during fieldwork earlier. Here"
HERO/HEROINE recieved an empty pokeball! HERO/HEROINE recieved 3rd starter!

Professor Rowan: "Listen, RIVAL and you should go north and look for your starter. RIVAL will help you catch it with your [3rd Starter]. Go forth!"

Go to the Route [Something] and head north a bit, your starter will be there. RIVAL (Opposite gender), will engage it for you. Use your 3rd starter to fight it using Tackle/Scratch/Pound twice (And only twice) then catch it using a pokeball. If you faint it, you must keep the 3rd starter not get the one you originally chose.

After getting/not getting your starter, RIVAL will challenge you, after healing your starter.

Pkmn Trainer RIVAL-
Lv 5 either starter stronger than yours
or
Lv 5 starter weaker than yours (Depends on above)

After you beat RIVAL go back to the lab...

From then on, you will go on your journey to stop TEAM WHATEVER. In the first city, you'll reliease you'll need badges to advance so RIVAL will tell you to get them...

Okay, here's mine;

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl will be mainly about contests, so, naturally your searching for the ultimate contest pokemon. Further into the game you learn of a pokemon called 'Beauty', an absolutly gorgeous pokemon and unbeatable in contests but, for obvious reasons, incredibly rare and one of a kind. Your efforts are constantly distracted by Team Ugly, who are just a bunch of ugly people with a machine that sucks out beauty, they plan on catching Beauty to make themsleves look good. They don't know where Beauty is so they follow you around and such.

Here is a picture of Beauty, whom appears on the Diamond and Pearl box art, in different poses; Beauty.

B. Laugh it off, he/she is your friend (RS)
C. Don't reply at all (RB)

3. Your rival is your...

A. Rival plain and simple (GS)
B. Your best friend (RS)
C. Motivation to succed (RB)

ETC.

Brendan and May were THE WORST RIVALS EVER!!! You only fought them 4 or 5 times before they gave up, and ALL of their Pokemon were the same each time except the first (obviously) and last (Oh man, I'm leading with a Swellow or Tropius or some other lame bird. You're goin'... Hey, what're you doing with that Magneton? BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!!!) The rival in D/P needs to have the attitude of the red-head in GSC and the growth and mix team of "Gary" in RBY.

As for the evil team: Team Rocket tore apart Team Magma and Team Aqua at the seams. It was SO easy to predict what the Grunts in M and A would use (Wow, a Poochyena, a Zubat, and a Numel/Carvanha. How original!). The evil team in D/P has to be less predictable, with all kinds of Pokemon, from Normal to Poison to Psychic to Dark to Water, etc. However, they should also go after a legendary Pokemon as well, like one that could bring eternal night to Shinou. Also, they should play a larger part in the game than any other team, like if the rival joined Team whatever to take you down, or if the team was commanded by one of the Elite Four.

But that's just me.

Hmmm I sort of came up w/ a story idea a couple weeks ago, in the game you'll have 2 rivals one that's friendly competition the other is evil bum bum bum!!!!! pause for dramatic effect. Anyway what happens is you and your friend go to the professors place and you notice he's not in his lab but you hear him screaming outside for help, you run out and that's where you notice that he's being held up at gun point by your third rival.
You see the pokeballs on the ground and grab one this is when you choose your pokemon, and your friend distracts the evil guy then you pop out your pokemon and have it attack him. Then he runs off but steals one of the two pokeballs on the ground as he runs, he'll steal a random one.
when you get back to the proffesors lab he thanks you for helping him and allows you to keep the pokemon you chose, and then your rival takes his/her pokemon which is the one the bad guy didn't steal. It's after this he/she proposes that you have a fun battle before you leave, this is when you actually fight. Well anyway during bits and pieces of the game you find out that the other rival has joined up w/ the evil group and is slowly rising to the top of the ranks.
During one fight he finally gets really ****** off at his starter pokemon for loosing so much to a worm like you and shoots it, later on in the game you find out he's obtained one of the legendaries(it'll be the one you can't obtain in the game for example if you have saphire he'd have groudon), you also find out he's now become the leader of the group after killing the original leader. Then he tries to take over the elite four also and that's where your final fight will take place.
But also before then the two of you fight over the other legendary pokemon, he's about to kill you but before he can the legendary pokemon pops out and saves your ***.

yah soo that's my story pitch, probably won't happen it's a little dark for a pokemon game :p

SUBRICK

Hypnotize...
You're at the School of Pokemon Knowledge (SPK) and you are taking your final exam.

The exam asks for your name, age, gender, etc.

After the teacher grades the tests, she mentions one student got a perfect score. She asks who it was. You get to choose from three people. The one you choose is your rival (and a nerd xD).
"You're very bright," the teacher remarks. "I didn't get your name though..." Now you get to name your rival.

Your rival graduates and gets to choose a starter at the nearby lab. You failed the test, so in order to catch up to your rival, you must re-take it. It asks about all the basics of pokemon. (you get to go over all the information by pressing a specific part on the chalk board.) Once you pass, you go to the building to get your starter.

But wait! On your way, you are attacked by a member of team Neo Rocket! A wild pokemon steps in to defend you! (the "eevee" of diamond/pearl, which evolves into either a grass, steel, ground, ghost, or ice type)

You win the battle easily (your first battle ever), and the pokemon follows you to the lab. You see your rival there, which taunts you infront of the proffesor. You choose your starter, and so does he/she.

Uh oh! your rival challenges you to a double battle.
eevee & (opponent's starter) VS. d/p eevee & (your starter)

You win, and you find the owner of your "eevee" in the next town. But the trainer thinks you have a bond with it and blah blah blah lets you keep it.

Neo Rockets plot? to capture celebi to resurrect lucario/other legendary (depending on your version) using the Diamond/Pearl prophecy ( again depending on your version) . Pretty half baked, i know. :D

It's a stormy night.

You wake up when your new pokenav type thing starts ringing. You awnser it to find the Prof. is being taken hostage in the Lab! Your dad goes out of the house saying you shouldn't leave.

You leave.

You go to the lab and find it's locked, but the Prof. calls you again and says there's a secret entrance round the side. You go in, to see a member from a new team tieing him up. You look around and see your dad in the corner. He's says "you must save him", and gives you a choice of three pokemon. You run in there, beat up the dude and get your pokedex from the Prof.

I want a really hated rival... even to the extent that at the end, he is like the 2nd in command And you defeat the boss, he runs. Later, the elite four champ is another character, nd this guy comes out of nowhere. You vurse him, and The champ later gives you the champion ribbon or whatever. Now, it's not over yet. THe rival leaves in disgrase, and you go to your hometown later. Then you go to this cave, and you see him disgraced, in bad shape, he verses you with stronger Pokemon. After you beat him, he goes
"You hve defeated me countless times... I now know I can't beat you. Please, spare my life nd accept this"
Gives you something good. He became paranoid, thought you would lose patience. You later see him living peacefully. You won't know it's him, but there will be clues.

How about after you get your starter you go to the next town and in a clip style thing you see team ??? burning you home town and capturing the people. Also In each town is a strong trainer/guardian style thing. They are called the guardians of <insert main legendar> and they protect the towns. The one in your home town gives you your pokemon before telling you to run as team ??? are coming.

Oh, I just remembered, burning a hometown, kidnapping a professor...I don't think this will happen in a G8+ game. We should remember...But we can dream

The Smore

Hehe yeh ...

Ok how about just capturing your town and barricading it, so you have to fight a load of grunts and admins to get in and take town the fortress etc. Also if you take ages it shows a clip of a load of rockets going to the next town and capturing that. And so on and so on. So you have to train and liberate the town quick (ish)

ya. I reckon that's good! I still like my idea though...
