I don't know how many I'll get, if more than one of each, but I'll likely give the extras away to friends who are unable to replicate this.

Remember that to get Mystery Gift, you have to get the Pokedex in game, which from what I've seen is way farther into the game this gen. I think it's like half an hour of play time? So you have to be pretty dedicated to do that multiple times. That's literally hours.

Also as a side note, you do actually have to erase your file and start a new game to redeem the code again. Saw some people on another site using save backups to get multiple and this DOES NOT WORK; the game still detect that you "redeemed the code." (This is probably irrelevant as I believe save editing in any way is banned here, so don't do it in the first place, but I thought it was worth mentioning.)

I bought the game last year and got him from mystery gift. Then I put the game down until yesterday, and I deleted saved data. Now I cannot find it in the mystery gift any more. Is there anyway to get him other than trading?

If people are willing to spend the same amount of time to get one shiny Pokemon, then I see no reason to believe that they wouldn't be willing to do this for all of the cap Pikachus.

Deleting the Save data deletes any Mystery Gift you may have. Sadly, you are out of luck go getting that event Pokémon. While Munchlax is available on Route 1, the event exclusive Z Crystal (which can't be traded), and the two "event" moves are no longer available.

I tried getting through the beginning as fast as I could for this event just to test if I should get more than one of each cap. Decided that one of each is plenty because it does take about 35 minutes to get to the Pokémon Center for the first time.

Unless Pikachu in Yellow is different, any pokemon that isn't a wild encounter in gen 1 can be shiny. It's something about how RNG works in Gen 1 that wild encounters can't have the IVs to be shiny (Though getting them shiny through 8F Glitch/ACE and transferring them to Gen 7 is still possible).

Has a preset OT, so yes, OT-Locked. (The OT is エーテル "Aether." Also I have one self-obtained tho and can confirm nature is not preset, and the 3 IVs of 31 apply as well.)
