Can someone explain breeding to me? I thought I had it. I have two pokemon with max HP and max Def. The male has max attack and the female has max speed, so I give the male a power bracer and the female the power anklet then breed them but the offspring don't necessarily have 4 IVs. Sometimes they actually don't have HP or Def. The most I've been able to get is 3 IVs and I'm getting really annoyed.

It doesn't matter where you live, or what location you set your 3DS. The system is region-locked. Meaning, you can only play US games in your US system; JP games on a JP system, EU on EU.

Sadly, PokeBank is not yet out in the US, so you to wait like the rest of us.

Wait, so each parent is a 3IV Pokemon? Because I'm not understanding it. I recommend using a Destiny Knot with only one Power Item. I think only one IV is forced when two Power Items are held.

Yup, Rider is right. Power items on both parents only ensures that one of the IVs are passed down, not both.

Use a Power item with Destiny Knot for better chances. But keep this in mind too:

Why can't a shiny jirachi be obtained in X and Y? I thought that shiny jirachi was legitimately obtainable through the colosseum bonus disk.

Not entirely true. You have to delete a game on the PGL website (which is not a quick process; you have to send them a message requesting the game be deleted and give them a reason, then they delete it for you within a couple days), and you are not able to link your new save file until the old one is deleted and the new one registered. I don't know what this means for pokemiles. I know that if you have both games, it tracks their pokemiles separately and I know you can transfer pokemiles between Pokemon X and Pokemon Y on the PGL site, but if you only have one of the two games and you delete your game on PGL, I don't know if it saves your accumulated pokemiles. I don't see why it wouldn't save them unless they are tied to that save file and are lost when you delete it and start a new one.

Sorry to repost this but why can't I name my Feraligatr Cipactli or Sobek? I bred it myself and it will allow me to name it something other than those two names but it really kinda aggravates me.

Somebody replied to you earlier saying that Sobek was likely due to S.O.B. being in the name. I have no idea about Cipactli.

The other part of the name is probably censored. I know there is a list somewhere that says each word that isn't allowed to be in the nickname.

@Sazandora: What difference does it really make? You shouldn't be hacking anyway. I doubt they will be able to be uploaded.

I don't hack Pokemon and I would be worried about that, as well. What if something that I got on the GTS is hacked and I didn't know it? At that point it's no fault of my own and I don't want to be punished for it.

Poke transport saids that at least one poke remains in the transport box from my previous session. Then it said i have to empty it by using the poke bank, however when i go into poke bank it shows nothing in the transport box. Whats going on?


Edit: The transport box should automatically show when i enter the poke bank? Right?

In any case, it might be because someone's given you an EXP Power while they passed by.

Thank you! So this is a consequence of Amie. But why doesn't it happen every battle, though?

I play with wireless off to conserve battery and only have wireless on for passing people while closed, so it couldn't have been a person giving me a power.
