I read that fissure/sheer cold/horn drill/guillotine's (sp?) accuracy raises if your pkmn's lvl is higher than your opponents. How much does it raise by? (sorry if this is the wrong forum. I'm not sure where to put this.)

I belive that's RBY, since you couldn't use these moves against a pokemon of a higher level than yours.

Well, my emerald and XD guidebooks say that it's accuracy raises.

No,so if my kyogre is at level 100 the accuracy will be over 100.
It does not raise I beleive.

The one and only.
From what I know, the one hit ko moves hit more accuraltely against pokemon that are super effective aganist them, and are lower leveled. I can prove it because during the elite 4 my Kyogre was stronger than Salamance, and I used Sheer Cold and it worked and fainted him. Fissure also worked aganist an eletric type in my Xd. Hope this helps.

In the 3rd generation,Ohko moves can only hit an opponent which is a lower level opponent. But in the 1st,2nd generaton the levels don't matter.

OHKO moves are 30% accurate. No more, no less. However, it's quite stupid to use OHKO moves anyways, as it's completely luck based.

Back I guess??
1HKO moves have 30% if you´re using in one pkémon with the same or lower level than the user.

1HKO moves have 0% if you´re using in one pokémon with higher level than the user.

I hope I helped :)

not necessarily, in some cases they not bad. smeargle spore, mind reader, ohko. Bit of a waste though, if you use a decent pokemon in the first place, wouldnt need to use smeargle, or arcticuno

Don't post your dreams here. If this is true, a level 40 pokemon attacks a level 26 one, the OHKO will be 100%.

I don't think this happens in Advance games, and not even in G/S/C. This happens in R/B/G/Y.

Well, I don't know why my guidebook (Emerald; Prima) says, quote, "Guillotine: Normal, -- BP, 30 acc, 5 PP. Des: In one blow, you knock out the opponent. Move has know effect if the opponent's level is higher than the casting pokemon, but has a higher chance of succeding if the opponent's lvl is lower than yours."

And my XD (Nintendo Power)guidebook says: "Guillotine/Fissure/Horndrill/Sheer Cold (it says the same thing for all of the moves): --BP, 30 acc, 5 PP. Des: Causes foe to faint; the lower the foes level is than yours, the better ACC becomes; can't hit higher."

Also, When i used Groudon and kyogre's (lvl 100) OHKOs on Mount Battle (XD) never missed on the lower lvl pokemon. From all of this, I make out that it's accuracy raises against lower lvl pokemon. Also, on the higher lvl pokemon, it missed (occasionally). Why would both guidebooks say this if it wasn't true?

except that articuno has to live through two hits first, it can't kill sturdy pokes, something with a rock move beats you (4x weak), and people can just switch to avoid it.

if you want to use a cheap trick........ in a double battle use a butterfree to skill swap with something with a OHKO, then the acc with be 60%

IMO The guide of pokémon XD is right, when higher the level COMPARED to the opponent, higher the accuracy is, because any attack would already kill it.
