Ok... a bit of help needed here

I just bred a ';170;' and she doesnt have the trait i want, would the trait change after it's evolve into a ';171;' or would the trait stay the same? sorry if u think answering me is a waste of time, i'm kinda new at this...

im guessing u mean nature the nature will stay the same so your gonna have to breed another till you get the nature you want i hope i helped

no, actually, it's ability, but some people prefer to call it trait

it will stay the same.

there are two classes of abilities with respect to evolution:
1: ability stays the same when it evolves. this is when both evolutions have the same choices of ability, such as with chinchou and lanturn.
2: ability changes when it evolves. this is when the evolved form has an ability that's different from the pre-evo. an example of this is that trapinch can have either hyper cutter or arena trap, but vibrava can only levitate.
