Okay what are the best moves for a syther?

I need to know the best moves for a syther.

Because my sythers moves right now stink.

Its moves are
Cut
Pursuit
Fasle swipe
Btw its at level 25.

WOW only 3 moves get rid of pursuit it stinks and get some defnese moves

here are some good ones:
swords dance
silver wind(egg move)
steel wing
counter or reversal
(i preffer counter cause rock types are physical and can inflict massive damage on u)
(also for reversal, and it would be good if ur against fire type)
as for steel wing it would be a great addition if ur against ice/rock types

May as well give Chansey Swords Dance.

Guy learns Wing Attack in another level, and unless you have a Modest Scyther or something, he won't do any good with Pursuit. This probably belongs in Rate My Team or something, though with only three moves and no clue about nature, gender, and since I'm unsure of how far you are ingame...

Get Wing Attack next level, and more than likely you'll want to replace Pursuit with Slash at level 31. False Swipe is nice for ingame in case you see a shiny or all around for capturing people, and since nobody can cry hax, Double Team is nice ingame as well.

Okay I beat the whole game, am working on getting him to level up, and whats the best place for high level battles in fire red?

these moves will only happen if you evolve it to a scizor with metal coat

E4 or Island 7.

As for the movesets and such, I won't cover that, since Firehead Hank already went over it.

i prefer to use scyther/scizor as a baton passer.

-iron defense
-agility
-swords dance
-baton pass

that's what my scizor's always had.it's not bad, actually it's good for my team since it's mostly defense and sp. attack,but scizor gives me speed AND attack(and then even more defense with iron defense.)

that's why it's always me first pokemon,they either kill it at the beginning or don't kill it at all.

what's with the 'tude?
Endure (can it learn it?) over slash, or Baton pass.

And Mo_Money, It's always not gonna kill at all because all it has is stat-increasing moves and BP...
If it was crappy like... something stupid... Then you could do that.

I would suggest NOT evolving Scyther until it learns Wing Attack, then teach it Steel Wing and evolve it into Scizor.
