Meanwhile, toymaker Jakks Pacific got a piece of the Licensing Show spotlight by taking over the master toy rights to Pokemon, currently held by Hasbro. In addition to that deal, rights holder Pokemon USA detailed plans for a new Pokemon series, Pokemon Chronicles, to make its way to the U.S. from Japan via Cartoon Network's Toonami bloc while the 10th series of the current series heads to Boomerang. Pokemon USA expects to announce deals for a DVD game and the first music deal (CDs) for the property in eight years in the near future.
