OLD EPISODES of Pokemon to air on Boomerang

Meanwhile, toymaker Jakks Pacific got a piece of the Licensing Show spotlight by taking over the master toy rights to Pokemon, currently held by Hasbro. In addition to that deal, rights holder Pokemon USA detailed plans for a new Pokemon series, Pokemon Chronicles, to make its way to the U.S. from Japan via Cartoon Network's Toonami bloc while the 10th series of the current series heads to Boomerang. Pokemon USA expects to announce deals for a DVD game and the first music deal (CDs) for the property in eight years in the near future.

In addition to that deal, rights holder Pokemon USA said Pokémon: Battle Frontier, the brand new, ninth season of the series and will be broadcast on Cartoon Network (CN) beginning this fall. Pokémon Chronicles, never before seen in the U.S., premiered June 3 on CN during the Toonami block. Classic Pokémon episodes (seasons 1-5) will air on CN’s Boomerang channel.

that's either gotta be a typo or an error cause why would they put pokemon on the boomerang channel that is nothing but classic cartoons, besides Chronicles is already here so whoever wrote that is missing stuff.

Eh, I went to the original source for that article. Apparently it was a mistake

I knew it was a mistake! Anyway I'm happy I have boomerang, I'm confused that people are saying they don't have it?? Maybe its the service they have, whatever the case I have "dish network" and they have it so maybe others should get it as well

No......

It's because of the fact that you actually have to go to the site itself and "request" for Boomerang, just to get it.

Or at least, that's what the commercials I've been seeing on Cartoon Network say.

And also, that's not fair! I love seasons 1-5 as well, but I don't have Boomerang! :(

Oh well, at least I get to see seasons 7, 8, and 9, and Pokemon Chronicles.

But, either way, we're still missing season 6, Pokemon Advanced, for some reason. O.O

Well yes that is what the website says but if you do that it has the information on what cable/satellite providers have it for there packages. I know for a fact Direct Tv has it and Dish Network so I dunno. If you don't have it of course its not fair those are classic episodes. And most likely CN will air advance when avance battle airs and finishes but who knows

I agree with that right there. Even though it has been cleared up, I still think its weird having Pokemon on Boomerang. Boomerang usually has old classic American cartoons like The Flintstones and The Jetsons. I don't see why they would have Pokemon seasons 1-5 on their lineup. Most people don't even have that channel or they don't have enough money to get it. Like what CyberCubed said, it most likely won't get that many ratings since not many people actually have it. At least I don't have to beg my parents for the money for that channel. I'll just wait for the DVDs.

Don't you people read? It's been confirmed to be a mistake. Boomerang gets the older episodes, Cartoon Network gets the newer ones.

Lisa, as for why Season 6 isn't listed is probably because CN hasn't even aired the entire season of it before, so we may end up getting that on CN as well.

Seasons 1-5 are good enough for Boomerang, seeing as how old they are now. Nearly 10 years old, in fact.

It's still too bad they have to go to Boomerang. The first seasons, especially Kanto, were the best. I never get tired of watching them.

And let's not forget CN or whoever seems to have something against airing season 4 reruns. :/

Well, it is pretty much filler-o-rama at that point. >___>

Either way, I don't see why you folks have to complain. It's not like none of the old episodes aren't on DVD.
