the new attack system will make the pikachu family stronger because volt tackle will probably be considered a physical attack now

?????

So, the Pikachu family is pure electric. Therefore, logically, they excel more in Sp. Atk then Atk.

So Volt Tackle being physical wouldn't help much.

And their is a thread like this, actually, I believe a couple.

If anything, he'll be weaker.

Due to Fire Punch/Ice Punch/Thunder Punch being classified as Attack moves, the Abra family is going to be reasonably useless now.

Look, I'm not exactly sure what =/= actually means.

Can someone give me a refresher course?

Oh, and Gengar will own all and sundry. The End.

=/= means doesn't equal.

Not all contact moves will be physical and not all non-contact moves will be special. Earthquake, Rock Slide, Rock Throw, Poison Sting, Bone Rush, etc do not make contact but they will be physical.

in the fire red/leaf green stratagy guide it gives pikachus S.A 1/4 and its P.A 2/4, raichu gets 3/4 for both his S.A and P.A. wat would have happend up till now if raichu had to battle a pokemon with high special defence and low defence? up till now its best physical attack was slam

Why is Pikachu going to be stronger? He has high S.A. not P.A.!

Listen... No matter what people will say, you can't base todays movesets on tomorrow's system! There will be new attacks!

So..all of you going off and saying that Alakazam, Typhlosion, and the like are useless will be proven wrong... They'll be given new move pools. So...stop claiming that they're not going to be as good as before.

You don't know that. There might not be that many new good attacks.

What we should ask ourselves is what pokemon, previously thought useless or inferior to other pokemon, will be bettered. Pokemon that fit this category are pokemon we've dismissed with a high stat that did not fit their typing.

Kingler can finally use crabhammer, its signature move.

I don't know that for certain, true, but it's highly illogical to do that to people; i.e. having their favorite in-game and competetive PokeMon 'destroyed' as many people rant nowadays.

GF won't purposely 'break' perfectly good PokeMon.
