I feel like the best thing they can do for Juan is to make him the Master of Mega Evolution for Hoenn since he doesn't have a story in r/s and mega evolution never existed then. 2 birds

when will we receive more news from pokemon oras? like is there a convention coming up? or will it be from the next corocoro?
There's E3 in just a few weeks. We're almost guaranteed to get info then. Corocoro comes out at about the same time as E3, too.

i really want wonder trade to stay :) i want to do a wonderlocke but the levels are slow low for the first few gyms its hard to keep them below that level.

I feel like it would be beneficial if they made this game's battles with important trainers have Mega Pokemon. For example, it would be smart of GF to have our battle with the character's Father have a Mega Evolution, because since Norman is our Father, I can imagine him, being close to the player character, having a Mega Ring and Mega Pokemon as well. I think they should make Norman's signature Pokemon have a Mega Evolution. It would also make that battle, which felt too easy for me in Emerald, a little bit more difficult.

That's an interesting idea, although if it ends up being true, I can imagine only one Gym Leader have a Mega Evolution and possibly all of E4 and the Champion will have one, and your rival too.

Speaking of E3...what do you hope to get from it?
I do hope that they will give us some in-game footage and maybe some others features (new or old ones) that they have decided to introduce.
It wouldn't be much, considering that at the E3 of one year ago they showed us many things about XY (good times!).

If they don't reduce the amount of water routes in Hoenn, how about turning them into a fantastic diving experience. Since the game is in 3d, ORAS can become the first 3D handheld pokemon game to utilize the Circle Pad Pro? During a dive, I would like to move in truly 3 dimensional space along with the new free directional movement on the 2d plane. Underwater, I want to dive deep or rise to the surface. In Gen V, we can dive and rise gradually, but it felt boring to me to me. In ORAS, they can turn the water routes into wonderful new experience for the pokemon franchise.

A duel well fought..
I want them to be an actual challenge. Rs were too easy to beat. I beat the elite 4 several times with level 36-40 pokemon. Emerald along with fr/lg actually saved me from losing interest in pokemon all together. Don't screw this up, gamefreak.

Do you think Steve will be the champion? Or will it be Wallace? I think of it as a big question since emrald came after (I was really expecting this to be a sequel but... oh well...)

A brilliant solution would be this: have Juan as the 8th Gym Leader in both versions and have Steven as champion in OR (because Steel is associated with ground) and Wallace in AS (because he specializes in Water and its main legendary is a Water type.)

I hope Wallace is the last gym leader and Steven is the champion. I never was a fan of Juan... I mean, who is that guy anyway?

I would prefer Gym Leaders to be version exclusives rather than Champions.

Steven and Wallace aren't even on the same level of popularity, difficulty, and they even differ on type specialty.
Even the story would be greatly affected by this.

As I've suggested several times before, I think the best and most efficient solution is to have Wallace and Juan become version-exclusive Gym Leaders of Sootopolis since both of them have the same type specialty, and both were Gym Leaders of the said city. This is basically a Drayden-Iris situation.

Let's be honest here... do you really want to face a Water-specialist twice?
Also, would you pick a game that you really like, but you don't even like the Champion in that version?

I hope Wallace is the last gym leader and Steven is the champion. I never was a fan of Juan... I mean, who is that guy anyway?

Juan is Wallace's mentor. He went abroad and left the gym to Wallace's hands.
Since Wallace have become Champion in Emerald, he returned to Sootopolis.

something like this
I'm not sure that would work very well with Pokemon (or any kind of RPG whatsoever). Depends on what kind of data is transferred between games.
One thing mentioned on /vp/ was the fact that since the games were also being sold in eShop and a good chunk of the sales would be digital, the tie-in feature would have to be physical release agnostic-ie. it has to be a software or a hardware available through regular purchase as an add-on. Of course, the counterargument to that would be that the physical releases would still be the majority and any bundle pack would give extra incentive to buy out the physical releases, alongside the forever fan favourite statement "GF doesn't care about anything, except when they do".

Even if we don't get a lot from E3 itself, we should get some information in the rest of the months. At the very least I expect to see the new main character designs, the updated starter and Hoenn region art, some of the "new" mechanics, alongside whatever legendary related news they are going to have in the Corocoro.

We will obviously get a Japanese exclusive commercial with the Diancie movie's release, though, as it has always been the case.

Wow, I can't believe I went through all that time without knowing that. I always thought that Juan was just some random water specialist that Wallace put up to take his place as gymleader. It makes sense now lol.
I think the idea of having the Iris/Drayden version exclusive thing is a good idea then. Unless they decide to ignore any Emerald changes amd stick to the original RS which I doubt.

I really think Record Mixing will return as that will be the way to acquire secret bases again. I can see it being so you can only mix records after you've battled with someone or if they're on your 3ds friend list. Streetpass would just be too crazy with these games, I'd have a million bases popping up everywhere and I think that would take away from the secret factor.

My desires for ORAS?

-A nifty way to grind levels, without having that spoonfed to you like it was in X and Y (with the Exp. All on and off)
-Customizable outfits with a hiker theme to them.
-Full set of Mega starters (Blaziken shouldn't be the only one sucking up all the glory. It makes everything unfair.)
-If anything, they should keep the story the way it was in Emerald. Like they did in HGSS, by making them remakes with elements of Crystal integrated to the story.
-Wallace should stay Champion for that matter, but still having Steven be an integral part of the story. Maybe giving him a backstory to when he was Champion before Wallace.
-The return of Feebas evolving via Pokeblocks (only for this instance) and Contests. I'd like to see how they do Contest appeals in 3D o__o

That's at the top of my head for now.

Well, the Exp Share mechanics are unlikely to change (at least during Gen VI), so that's going to stay. I don't see why it's a problem, though; don't use it if you don't like it, and you still have Lucky Eggs (trade one over from XY, assuming ORAS doesn't just hand you one as has been customary lately) as an alternative. The Exp Share is great in the post-game, so I'm fine with it being this way.

There hasn't been official word to my knowledge, but in the case of E3 it's probably safer to assume we will get something than that we won't.
